Lhee had finally managed to get the Will-O-Wisp to stop circling him and instead circle the end of his bone club, turning the bone into a kind of pseudo torch.  Managing to get Amaura to rest on his shoulders, Lhee sighs quietly and starts heading after the way Ms. Claudia had gone.

 

He froze in place when he saw the large group of ghost type gijinkas.  Lhee's knuckles turned white in the pale purple light as he gripped his bone club, silently staring at all of them.  He was getting better around Claudia and Dusk - he still wasn't comfortable around ghosts he didn't know.  The fact that one of them looked to be a Haunter gijinka was nearly enough to cause Lhee to hurl his bone club at the group out of reflex.  To his credit, the Marowak boy didn't.

 

Lowering his club to his side, the purple ball of fire still circling the end of it, Lhee just quietly watches the ghosts.  His face would have been unreadable thanks to the combination of his skull and the shadows being cast over it, and it likely would have been an intimidating sight if it wasn't for the small pokemon draped across his shoulders and watching them curiously.  "Amau!  Ra ra!"  It seemed she didn't have any problem with ghosts, at least.

Laughing and rolling her eyes, Zoe pipes up from the short distance behind Dusk and Amaya where she was following.  "Oh c'mon Amaya, how could one kid knock out the entire school?  Even if he is a "legendary".  What does that even mean, anyways?"  Sure Raiga had looked tough, but so did a lot of the other gijinkas at the school...  Granted, to Zoey everyone looked tough.  She wasn't a fighter.  

 

They were almost to the school - good!  The sooner they went through all the mandatory stuff that Dusk was going to make sure they attended, the sooner she could get down to having some fun!  "So, Mister walking rule-book, what do we do once we get to the school?  Please tell me it's not going to be some kind of 'everyone sit here and wait until the lights come on and don't do anything fun whatsoever' drill?"

Nico and Charlotte

 

'I didn't think you would join me.' Nico thought. He walked down the corridor, going around the milling students. He acted like a ghost. Well, more of a ghost than usual. He spied a lantern up ahead and walked towards it.

 

Charlotte turned around at the footsteps and held her lantern up. "Oh hello. Do you need something?" She asked sweetly.

 

Nico looked at the Lopunny gijinka. "Actually, can you tell me where we go for emergencies like this?" Nico asked.1

 

"Oh I can do better than that. I can take you to one of the places. There are three in total and I believe that the closest one is in the common room." She said. Nico followed her and noticed that a few other students had joined them. Eventually getting there, the teacher says, "Okay that seems to be everyone in this section of the school. Hey! You two! Don't start fighting in here, we've already got enough panicking students without you two adding to the mix!" She scolded the two students and left the group.

Charlotte walked with her lantern to the Dorms, seeing if she could help in any way. She spotted Darius and walked up to him. "Darius ... do you need any help?" Charlotte asked. She then saw a student doing an inappropriate thing. "Do not use Flash like that! Use the actual move if you know it!" Charlotte yelled.

@, @@Lyridian,Ok made sense that Ms.Claudia would help the school like this, Daniel turned to face towards the two ghost type Gijinkas beside him, the lantern swaying slightly in his grip as he did so and (for lack of a better word) ordered, "Go around the school and find other students, tell them to remain calm and follow emergence procedures; most may be a little on edge so be careful."  Said Daniel as the two Gijinkas ran off through the school, each grabbing a lantern or flashlight if they found one.  Daniel, bronze lantern still in his grasp, turned back towards Ms. Claudia only to find both her as well as a lone Marowak, who seemed to be looking up Daniel with a look of what seemed to be either discomfort or intimidation; to which Daniel simply look towards him and smirked, looked back towards Ms.Claudia and spoke, "Me and my friends, those two you saw behind me, were taking a stroll around the school, of course we brought the lantern from near the front door; anyway, so what's the plan?"

Rune continued wandering the forest. As he kept slashing marks in to the trees he saw a ribbon hanging down from one of the branches. "Synthia!" He said, elated. "I finally found you! You had me so worried! Come down here, please! I don't care that they'll be monitoring me. We need to have a talk, can you please come down here?"

"I see no reason you can't talk with me in the tree," she replied. Her ribbon twitched and withdrew upwards into the tree. "I don't understand why you'd go through so much for a girl you just met less than a week ago." There was a rustling in the tree as she moved around it away from him.

During the black out, Nik had sent out more of his children, taking advantage of the darkness to set up spies. By sheer luck, the wind caught one of his Leech Seeds and landed in a tree near Synthia. Nik rolled his eyes at her whining and deactivated the Leech Seed for the moment. By God, Synthia was a whiny little brat! Still, he kept a small vigil over her, not paying much attention

He needed someone to take out his anger on and since the psycho janitor was a bit too close for comfort, he ordered the Leech Seed to jump into Synthia's hair

She probably would've done a number of things. It would've started with more fleeing and pleading. But he hugged her, which flipped her kill switch, making her go limp and faint. Her ribbons wrapped around his arms and torso, binding her to him even as she lost consciousness.

 

Rune felt Synthia go limp in his arms. "It's ok, I've got you. I'll get us back to the academy." Rune said to her, not even sure if she could hear him. He hopped down from the tree, still carrying her and followed the path he marked in the trees back to the top of the mountain. He then reclaimed his bags, piled Synthia's things on top, and then hoisted them on to his back. He positioned Synthia so that he could carry both her and the bags for the long haul and made the long trip back down the mountain.

 

He arrived at the front gate of the academy completely out of breath. He was lucky to see Ms. Althaia at the gate. "Althaia! I need some help!" He called out to her. "Rune, what happened? Is she hurt? And why are you carrying so much stuff?" Althaia replied. "Long story, we need to get her to the nurse's office and I need to drop this stuff off at my dorm, pronto. I had to carry this all the way down the mountain." Rune explained. "Alright, I'll get the bags, since she seems to be attached to you by her ribbons for whatever reason." She said. "You're a lifesaver. Dorm 15. I'll head to the nurse's off- the power went out, didn't it? Dammit... I guess I'll head for the commons then, at least there is a couch there I can just rest her on. Can you grab the nurse and send her to the common room after you drop off the bags?" Rune requested. "Yeah, sure." Althaia replied. So they set off their separate ways.

 

Rune arrived at the common room and rested Synthia on the unoccupied couch. Her ribbons still wouldn't release, however, so he just sat on the floor next to the couch and rested.

 

Althaia dropped off the bags, then checked the cafeteria and hallways, to no avail. Luckily she found the nurse in the gym and told her that she should make her way to the common room and help with her patient. She then returned to her sentry duty at the front gate, waiting for either more students, or Jon.

Synthia awoke on a couch in... school. She turned her head and saw that her ribbons bound Rune to her person. She let him go and turned away from him. "You shouldn't throw your life away on me. There's to much in your future to waste on a girl. I'm like an exotic flower: beautiful until I wilt."

"How poetic" Nik sneered, slinking out of the shadows. "An apt comparison though" Nik shrugged, chuckling lightly as he did so. "After all, like a lot of exotic flowers, you're just property. According to the law, you are someone's dog at best" Nik snorted, smiling widely. He had no clue if this was actually true, but he felt like spitting some bile. Synthia just irritated him for some reason, so unlike with Amaya, who he could feel sorry for, he was relentless

He observed their interactions and said nothing else beyond that. "Please don't cause any trouble. I'd hate to do two weeks worth of detention with you."

Nik gulped and stepped back, fear gripping his throat and heart. He managed to steel himself though and shake off the feelings of fear. "I'll think about it" Nik mumbled, failing to sound in charge. He had lost the argument and he knew it. He'd stick around, but he was much less confident than before

He turned back to Synthia. "It wouldn't be throwing my life away. I'd enjoy every second of it." Rune said. "Don't be so hard on yourself, you are beautiful in more than just looks, you are a beautiful person as well. It actually pains me to see you hurting this much, can you please at least accept that I'm not going to give up?"

Nico sighed and slid against the wall to sit down. He leaned his back against it and made a miniature Dark Pulse ball. Seeing fine in the dark made him want to throw the ball up and down in his hand. "Don't disturb me." He said.

The group approached the gates. Melissa saw a teacher standing by the gates. "Uum Miss? Has the school had a blackout as well?" Melissa asked her. She didn't want to start panicking in front of a teacher.

"Yeah the blackout hit us too. Any of you happen to know Flash or a fire type move? If so, light it up once you get inside and head to either the commons, the gym, or the cafeteria. And only Flash if you actually know the move, you wouldn't believe how many immature kids try to take advantage of that." Althaia sighed. "Also, was there anyone else in town that was headed back here? If not, I'm just going to head back in with you."

Darius grins at the Lopunny gijinka, giving a small bow while still managing to hold his wand upright.  "Charlotte my dear, even in this dim light, you're a sight to see.  Did it just get brighter in your presence?  I think it may have."  With a wink the Delphox professor chuckles and turns to gesture down the hall.

 

"I think things are mostly settled around here, though if you'd like to help get the last of these students to the cafeteria, I'll go see about starting the fires...  It will be getting cold quickly once the sun goes down.  Besides, someone needs to watch these young ones, otherwise it's much akin to herding Torchics..."

 

 

Zoey and Raiga

 

As Zoe flopped down into a free chair in the common room, she lets out a loud sigh.  So far, it was seeming like a really boring "sit down and don't have any fun" drill.  She wanted to go out and play in the dark - she liked the dark.  "Please tell me this is just going to be like, a roll call?  I don't want to spend my weekend like this..."

 

The low, rumbling voice from behind her almost made Zoey jump out of her seat.  Almost.  "Patience is a virtue...  Though, I find myself wanting to agree, this does put a damper on any plans anyone may have had."  Raiga had made his way to the common room shortly after Nik and Nico, though he'd decided to stay on the far side of the room from the Smeargle boy.  It seemed the easiest way to avoid a mess.  Raiga's attention seemed to be more on the other students gathering in the room though, even though he was speaking to the ones he'd already met.  It almost would have looked like he was waiting for someone.

Charlotte placed a hand in her front of her mouth to try and hide the smile and giggles. "Darius, you know how to tease a girl." After her giggles subsided, she gave a mock salute to the Delphox. "Yessir, don't worry sir!" Charlotte then began to group the rest of the students. One of her ears held tightly to the handle of the lantern, freeing up both of her hands to try and gather the students up.

'At least there is light here. Even if it is from a fireplace.' Melissa thought to herself. She looked around the slightly crowded common room and found a group of students near the couch. It seemed like Nik, Nico, Rune and a Sylveon gijinka were there.

If there was one thing Synthia couldn't stand at this moment, it was Nik. He was to much like the old scientists. But, if there was one thing she'd learned since then, it was that she was no longer helpless. She reached into her bag, eyes narrowed, and pulled out her bow and quiver, "How is it you can be found where pain is greatest, like salt in an open wound?" she growled. Her voice was lower, with an edgy undertone.
