The Dead Space games are relatively scary. First call was Amnesia but thats been taken so Dead Space series or Penumbra

I love horror games but depending on the game I either suck at them and can't beat them or are average and can beat them. I have yet to beat a single Resident Evil game before RE4 (except RE: Survivor but that was easy like RE4)

 

Games I've played:

 

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (Gamecube)

Resident Evil 1, 2, 4, Code Veronica X, Survivor, Umbrella Chronicles

Silent Hill 1 and Shattered Memories

Geist (If you wanna consider it horror though it might be more sci-fi, not sure exactly. Maybe it's both)

The Darkness (I'd consider it horror in a way)

Extermination (Once again bordering on sci-fi but still horror)

Pestilence Z (Flash game, zombie horror RPG)

The Breach (Flash game, metroid-like action horror)

 

I've always wanted to play Amnesia and I've still got the other Silent Hill games on my list of games to get too.

Silent Hill 2 is a favorite of mine. I didn't find Silent Hill 3 as scary, but it's not bad, either. Siren is a favorite of mine. Although, I will say, that game is frustratingly difficult sometimes. Most of the time. There is also Siren: Blood Curse which is more of a streamlined version of the first game. The plot got a little whitewashed, though.

Hmm...you would need an emulator for this one, but Eversion is...really creepy, actually.

Ah, have you played Amnesia:Justine?

That is a very, very, very good add-on. I was more scared at one point in that game than at the whole of Dead Space 2

Amnesia, Dead Space (I personally don't think its scary, but it is fun), Resident Evil (5 is kinda fun. More gross than scary IMO)

Its an add on campaign for Amnesia that the makers of the game, well, made. There are no saves on it and you have to complete a set of challenges.

I honestly nearly crapped myself about 10 times playing through it. Im not sure where you'd get it now though, I brought Amnesia at a special time and I got Justine with it . Sorry.

Apparently if you update your copy of Amnesia then you get it for free. I highly recommend playing through it, its not all jump scares and the campaign is. . . short but sweet.
