Had fun doing the last one, so I made a less disturbing sequel.

 

 

Spike: "Feeling better?"

Rarity: "Whatever do you mean, dear?"

Spike: "Yesterday you seemed pretty--"

Rarity: "Oh, that? That was nothing, just a little releasing of steam. It certainly wasn't anything to be taken seriously as an affront to your character."

Spike: "Is that all it was?"

Rarity: "Why would you think otherwise?"

Spike: "You threatened to do some very uncouth things with the blunt end of your sewing machine if I didn't make you more cookies."

 

Rarity: "Details, darling, details."

But Sparity is the closest ship to canon that exists. Also great work, I especially liked as the fic I'm currently working on involves the two of them married. (Although more as a side pairing than as the focus of the fic.)

Personally, I don't like the ship all too well. It is an unrequited crush that a baby dragon has on a full grown mare. (Plus, Rarity is mine )

 

The age gap, seemingly shallowness of Spike's attraction to her, and the fact that they are two entirely different species make it a crack ship in my eyes, and, if Spike didn't feel like he did about Rarity,I doubt it'd even be viewed as a legit ship in some people's eyes.

 

Also, just because I personally don't like the ship, and find it...err, "peculiar" to begin with, doesn't mean I think others should feel the same as me. I'm usually one of the first to comment on Citrus' fan art he posts, and he has a load of Sparity pics that I've enjoyed.

 

Last thing; why are y'all starting this on a topic where the dude posted a picture he drew? Sheesh. Appreciate the picture Just because I see it as a crack ship did not stop me from complimenting and enjoying this humorous work.

I think one of the reasons I like Spike so much in this one is reminds me of Hobbes.

Calvin and Hobbes is a huge influence on me, so who knows, maybe it was a subconscious thing.
