Suri Polomare Diamond Tiara's mom?!

I know this picture posted is basically a humorous meme, but after seeing it and after watching the episode, Rarity Takes Manehattan several times, it sort of looked like Suri Polomare is a lot like Diamond Tiara, and that's not to say that they're both mean. They're both Earth Ponies, they both have the same color mane and coat, they're from Ponyville, and well that picture says the rest. What do you all think?

That would be pretty interesting if she was actually Diamond Tiara's mom, but the thing is, Suri Polomare isn't rich, and Diamond Tiara comes from a rich family I believe. That's the only problem I can see with the theory.

I didn't get the impression that she was old enough to be. Not sure if the personality is evidence either, as you can probably explain away Tiara's attitude as her having been spoiled and not punished properly for her actions. I wouldn't feel uncomfortable headcanoning them as sisters though. Suri terrorizes Rarity, Tiara harasses Sweetie... Works for me.

I don't think she's old enough considering she's about a similar age to Rarity. She could still be related in some way though.

I'm pretty sure she's supposed be around the same age as the Rarity, which might make her a tad too young to be Diamond Tiara's mother. Plus, its been shown that ponies don't normally inherit the colors of their parents (just look at the cake twins) so she could just be just a very mean pony with zero ties to the Rich family.

It's pretty interesting if Suri was Diamond Tiara's mom, with their personalities. Suri isn't exactly rich, so I could see that as a minor problem in the theory.

Hopefully not. Aside from the age thing, if she were she'd be able take out her frustration on the Apple family given her position to Filthy Rich. Good thing she seems more like a city pony.

That seems reasonable, but if it is true, where does Filthy Rich come in? Sure he has the same color eyes as Diamond Tiara, but that's pretty much it. And according to the Wikia page of Filthy Rich it says :Despite being a rich business pony and his daughter's mean spirit, Filthy is amicable to Apple Bloom, Granny Smith and everypony else: which would make him the complete opposite of Diamond and Suri.

Now that it's mentioned Suri Polomare seems more likely to be Diamond Tiara's sister as opposed to her mother. I apologize for the post, cause I now realize it doesn't make much sense thinking Diamond Tiara is Suri Polomare's daughter.

No she is too young. Filthy Rich is in his 40s. And Suri is the same age as Rarity. So no. That would mean that Sweetie Belle would be Rarity's Daughter.

I could see Suri being a cousin or sister. It would be interesting if both Rarity and SB had rivals in the same family.

Many similarities, and it's entirely possible that she and Filthy Rich got together, then divorced, and he and his lawyers made sure he kept Diamond Tiara and the lion's share of the money, while she had to leave and go do fashion stuff to make money. A restraining order to keep her away from Diamond Tiara may or may not be involved, but if it is, it probably has such a large radius that returning to Ponyville ever is not an option for her.

Its interesting and be honest, telling pony ages is hard once they become adults. While a lot of people uses Mrs. Cake bodies for adult mother, we have seen with Twi's parents, Dash's father that more or less they look pretty much the same as the girls and other "young adults"in Equestria.

 

If Suri is DT mother, it would simply mean that she had a child young and FR married someone much younger then him. Also something to keep in mind is Bab's did say she would tell DT and SS mothers and there was no reaction of, "I don't have a mother to tell"so if Suri is her mother, will have to assume that she is either divorced from FR sometime after BS or is simply living away from DT and FR for her career.

 

As for personalities, from what little we got, Suri in the pass was not always like this, it seems only "after" she came to Manehatten that she became a heartless manipulator, if we can judge by her comments to Rarity.

 

Personally Suri being her mother or some other family member would be interesting, simply because we could have a SB vs. DT using their (mother, sister, family member) to one up one another.

That is impossible!!! Filthy Rich is in his 40s. Polomare is in her 20s. Or 17. She is the same age as Rarity.  Tell me Does this look like a 20 year old Stallion? And does this look like a 40 year old Mare?. Your choice.

Interesting. It's a good find, but I doubt it. 

 

1. Suri isn't rich, and definitely doesn't look like it.

 

2. I don't see where DT could have gotten the white in her hair from, her dad has no white, nor Suri, unless another relative(ex. grandma/pa, aunt, etc)has a white streak.

In terms of their selfish and spoiled personalities, it could be. But they come from different places.

Well, there's the fact that it's implied Suri and Rarity are the same age because they were in the Ponyville Knitters League together, and it's a fact that DT and Sweetie Belle are the same age because of the fact they're in the same class...so at the most, they'd be sisters - but even that's unlikely  

Suri is much too young to be DT's biological mother, though

Sure, because no insanely-rich fourty-something man has ever married a significantly younger woman in the history of ever, right? And the inverse, where a young woman goes after a rich older man, is definitely even more unheard of! This has totally never happened!

 

...But in all seriousness... even if it wasn't a money thing or showing-off thing, it could just be a relationship that ignores age. Those do happen in reality, just like the thing I'd just mentioned.

I really don't think that Suri is DT's mom in anyway shape or form, but I do think that due to the similarities of their personalities, they would more likely be either friends for sister-type for both Suri and DT. If Suri is related to DT, they would most likely be cousins since Suri's too young to be DT's mother.

I think if Suri was Diamond's sister then we would have had her appear in the show already. I have thought of her being her mother before and it does make some sense due to similarities between them. She wouldn't be mentioned because she and Mr. Rich were separated which explains why Diamond fears her mother (Filthy Rich's influence) and why she comes from a broken home. She isn't rich because Mr. Rich beat her in court (Suri was found to be at guilt). If Suri is younger then it would make sense. The two of them had marital problems for whatever reason. Depends on the motivations of Suri likely. But again, that's all my theories on what happened.

I guess she's her sister since she seems to be about the same age as Rarity.
