Unless Capcom either finally get their shit together or they are given to publishers/developers who actually care, all Capcom franchises(mainly Resident Evil)

If they at least hang on to Ace Attorney or give it to Level 5, only then is this acceptable.

 

As for me,

Duke Nukem. This franchise is everything I hate in the world and more. It's an action-oriented first-person shooter where you play as the absolute scum of humanity saving the world and everyone loves him. If the failure that was Forever leaves the franchise dead forever, I hope it doesn't slam the door on its way out.

 

Saints Row. Duke Nukem is hated by me for it's character and the fact that things work out for him. Saints Row is hated by me for that and just about everything else. The franchise focuses on sheer insanity and the absolute most vulgar "humor" I can imagine. It's like an M-rated Uncle Grandpa. That show isn't very good either.

 

Crash Bandicoot. Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE the original Crash games, and even Twinsanity is a pretty good game. But Activision has taken it in an unnecessary direction centering it around melee combat and Titans. I don't care if the company made the effort to go back to Crash's roots for real with another game, I don't trust them with Crash.

Unless a good company with true respect to the original can make the next game (or at least something with respect to Twinsanity), this franchise needs it's long-awaited rest already.

Grand Theft Auto. I will never understand the appeal to this series, it's an entire game about being a law breaking asshole and giving anyone against video games perfect fuel to say "See? This is what all video games are like! The must be banned to stop children from turning into psychopaths!"

 

CoD needs to die already. Especially when people keep considering it the best series ever made and you're only a "real gamer" if you play them. I'm not even kidding when I say that some troll once posted on every video of one ChuggaConroy's Let's Plays that he, quote "Isn't a real gamer or a man for playing these terrible kiddie games" and "needs to let's play CoD to prove that he is". Yeah, cause mindless shooters are leagues better than any game where you actually have to think.

Legend of Zelda. Talk about trying and failing to copy the overrated game that is Ocarina of Time. With painfully miserable graphics.

 

Call of Duty. Worse than LoZ about repackaging the game with worse graphics. But no, NOTHING DIFFERS. Only the melee button. And, maybe, worsening balancing problems. The Modern Warfare 2 Spas-12 was bad enough. Now there are weapons like the MW3 CM901. CAN'T BE BEAT, in the hands of campers. (HALF of the people that play, OR MORE.)

Sonic, the new ones are pure poop i can't belive people still buy them. Oh, and BF, CoD, Halo and other mainstream FPS. Why can't they just make free updates for the old games, oh now i remember BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BE ABLE TO SWIM IN MONEY.

Not everything rated M is necessarily gory or awful, there's a lot of games that are pretty thought-provoking and/or emotional as well. I mean, I teared up a LOT during the new Tomb Raider, despite there being a bit of a gap between Lara's actions and the game content. :-p And Bioshock is incredibly set and has a really cool storyline.

Obviously there are games out there that give that rating a bad name, but that's not really a reason to get rid of all of them.

 

Anyways, some series I would be happy to see go:

-Killzone and CoD

-Fallout (they're going to get really bad, really fast)

-Grand Theft Auto

-(potentially) Saints Row

-KINGDOM HEARTS EW EW EW :c (and Final Fantasy)

-Devil May Cry

-pretty much every Asian fighting game series ever. There are way too many.

-Sonic

-Batman

-Bioshock, Mass Effect, Portal (PLEASE END THEM ON A GOOD NOTE LOL)

Any game in the style of DayZ/WarZ. All the companies that are making clones need to come together and try to make one super awesome zombie survival game. Something that really resembles a zombie infested world(Which in my opinion, dayz standalone kind of captures it, but the immersion could be a little better). I'd like to see a zombie survival game with a gigantic map(I'm talking about 6 times the size of Chernarus from DayZ) with support for thousands of players. Something with a really awesome feeling zombie enviroment. Theirs my input + a little idea for an awesome game I've had in my head.

Yeah. Just the shooter games I'd like to see end. Like Grand Theft Auto and stuff. But that's just because I'm not a person who wants violent things, but I can see why it might be fun to just shoot pixels when your bored I guess.

Resident Evil.:It stopped being fun a long time ago.

 

Final Fantasy.: I might be outdated for stopping at 6 and 7, but past there I stopped liking it. 10 was okay, but it wasn't a Final Fantasy. Anything past is just no.

 

Diablo: 3 ruined it for me. My Diablo 3 account password got hacked and I didn't even care.

 

Certain Mario Games: Any Mario with new or 3d in the title. They're basically "Hey remember the old games? Here's that again." Galaxy is very good though.

 

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow specifically. It's just not even a Castlevania.

 

Oh and Soul Calibur. It used to be a fun fighting game, now It's just Jiggle Physics, stupid outfits, and the bare minimum requirements to be a game.

Actually, there really isn't a need to be rude; I did play the Batman games, and I didn't like them, and I don't want to see more. So. That's that.

And I wasn't even going to mention Halo, I have loved all of them. I mean, 4 was just okay, but I still enjoyed it.

Maybe. I don't know why I assume such things @Queenie-chan. I guess it was because you seemed to have a lot of responses to the subject. Some of them I don't agree with. I don't know why I went to that extreme. But I still don't really like that opinion of Fallout.

 

Saint's Row. The games were absolute crap.

Need For Speed. They seem like good games, and disappoint me as bad as Modern Warfare 3 did. A shame of a franchise.

And, lastly,

Elder Scrolls. The games were never good, but just QUITE overrated...
