What is your favorite Pokémon, why and what is your best memory from the game?

Forgot to mention, that my favorite in the series would be Pokémon x and Pokémon black versions. I started playing the games in Pokémon black version, so it's great nostalgia for me.

My favorite Pokemon game is probably Pokemon Y, currently. I just found all of the possible catch-able Pokemon to be of nice variety and the transformation to the Mega Evolution forms just look super badass.

In all honesty, I love Diamond and Pearl..I know its not a CLASSIC one or a CHILDHOOD one, but its gonna be a classic one day. I do LOVE X and Y for how its SO great looking, more to do, all the generations are mixed up, and junk, but I enjoyed Diamond and Pearl a lot. A lot of the Pokemon games do have similarities and stuff...but I kicked butt in Diamond and Pearl.

I do love ALL the generations as well, though..its harder to memorize more and more new pokemon :/ I have so much trouble with the new ones, even though I love the new ones.

It's PokemonType: Wild...

I call my own bluff, it's actually Pokemon Platinum. In all honesty, I think Platinum achieved that certain something that made it both simple and enjoyable, without all of that extra crap the new games started throwing at ya'. (Mega Evolutions! FTW)

I loved Yellow. Walking around with a Pikachu following me made me very happy... especially since I had no actual friends. So yay for Pokemon Yellow.

I can relate with that, it took me a bit to actually get friends. But that game was fun too.

Pokemon Yellow is my favorite.... It's my most favorite game. my daddy and I used to play it all the time, but we never finished it... I found the game this year and promised my dad I would finish it with him (I couldn't beat the dumb game, only game to do this too me. and I swear it is because I wasn't playing with my dad.) Anyways my dad passed away a couple weeks ago... we never finished that game and I never plan to. I want to be burried with my pokemon yellow so I can beat the game with my daddy in heaven.

<3 I love you daddy forever and always (I just wish we could have finished one more game. :()

I loved emerald but I have to say, X (or y).

Very refreshing with the way it's looks and is designed and also the new pokemon are cool. Gym design is ridiculous and the way that they give you the xp share early lets you play with loads of different pokemon and actually use a team!

I feel like they tweaked and perfected a lot of things in x :)

I haven't really been into Pokemon in years. I've tried over and over to play many of the games. I just don't care for the "gotta catch 'em all" mentality.

This is why Pokemon Coliseum was slightly better for me. Not EVERY Pokemon was available to catch (as far as I know) and it had some amazing atmosphere and environments. I haven't really played much since Diamond (which I only played about ten hours of anyway) but what I've heard of X and Y make them seem fairly interesting so I might check them out.

I'm a huge roguelike fan so I've wanted to give the Mystery Dungeon games a shot. I played one of them for a few hours but got distracted and never went back.

I've always thought that Pokemon would have made a great Action RPG but to alter the game's mechanics so much, especially with so many Pokemon...it'd be a huge task that isn't even guaranteed to do so well. That's not even to mention the nigh-impossible task of programming each Pokemon to be different enough to want to play more than like ten of them. Don't be like Bakugan: Defenders of the Core where there's only like three or four actual character types and ALL of the Bakugan fit into it. That's precisely what an actiony Pokemon would be like methinks.

I'm going to have to make two choices.

Red version was the most curious for me. Pokemon was new and that game had so many glitches. MissingNo, glitch city, the guy on the Cinnibar roof, it seemed like nothing was impossible. I tested out lots of those pokegod gameshark codes, my favourite is still what was called charcolt.

Coliseum was where I had the most fun. I was already hyped because of the free jirachi, but it was the first pokemon game where the plot was more than collect the badges and beat the elite four. Shadow pokemon were a new concept and it was exciting to have a way to transfer johto pokemon to the third generation (including 4 legendaries and all the starters.)

But yes, the plot was engaging and I liked the idea of a 3D Pokémon RPG. It saddened me when revolution was just another pokemon stadium. They went backwards...

Ah, I may have started with FireRed (which was pretty awesome!), but Diamond and Pearl were definitely my favourites. Gosh, I remember trying time and time again to beat the Elite Four, only to be destroyed by the Champion, Cynthia ... oh but when I finally won ... good times, good times indeed. :D
