I disagree, to be honest I am annoyed that they are never giving Dash her own song because her VA is a singer in real life, and they keep making her sing with the character that she has to fake an accent for over the one where she can talk fairly normally, thus we could get the full extent of her talent.

Thunders right! The pinkie pie part is the best! I can do the best impression of her. Like my friend played an audio of pinkie while I did a quote. It sounded so much alike! Plus I can sing in her octive.

oh yeah!!! best song of season 4 so far, it's insanely catchy, and have a very cute message, the song with the video made me smile instantly, I think this song is a smile 2.0

I put this song among not just season4 favorites but the whole series favorites!

Where did I say that was why I didn't like the song? No where. I was disappointed that they are not giving the voice actor a chance to sing without having to fake a country accent which I feel is stunting her singing. I don't really find the song catchy, but I was also expressing how Dash definitely needs more chances to sing.

 

There's no reason to insult me. If you wanted more clarity on my statement, I would have gladly offered it.

What makes you think Dashie is never getting her own song? Surely, if Ashleigh is a professional singer, she can quite capably sing for both the characters which she has voiced for the last three/four years. I bet she's pretty used to them now — Dashie's raspiness and AJ's accent come so much more naturally after the years of practise, especially as she has had time to adapt them to her suitability. I'm sure, with her talent, Ashliegh can execute a song for Rainbow Dash. I do love Dashie's singing voice, too.

 

Anyway, on topic, I LOVE Apples To The Core, it's super catchy and very heartwarming. One of my favourite songs of the show by far. My others include Babs Seed, A True Friend, Hearts as Stong as Horses and I've Got To Find A Way.

If Equestria Girls counts, Helping Twilight Win The Crown is NO DOUBT amazing, too.

oh no no no!! it's not my style to insult other users unless they provoke me, it wasn't my intention to do that, my pardons, as I used polite words to show my disconfort. Your previous post was pretty unclear if you ask me.

They're not opera performers or anything like that, and I prefer to imagine that AJ is singing instead of Ashleigh Ball, so she did a pretty good damn job with AJ's part, she has a lovely southern singing voice.

 

and if Dash doesn't sing that much, perhaps it is because that singing thing doesn't suit her character, but I may be wrong.

What I'm saying is because she's a singer in real life, she can sing for Dashie perfectly fine. But you are right, it is very silly of them to have kept Dashie's beautiful voice to themselves for so long!

 

EDIT: Oh wait, I think I do understand! You're saying BECAUSE Ashleigh is a professional singer, they should have given Dashie a song (and plenty more) LONG ago! I get it. Sorry for my thickness.

Well, I certainly liked it and this is coming from someone who doesn't go that much on the MLP songs. The best song to me though is still  a tie between 'A True, True Friend' and 'Celestia's Ballad'.

If Granny Smith didn't sing it would be perfect. When you have such a cartoonishly decrepit voice trying to carry a tune, especially one that's as full of energy as this one it doesn't work all that well. I actually would have preferred hearing Big Mac get a turn with a verse. I'd imagine he has a pretty soulful singing voice, a shame he never got a chance to show it.

 

Then again this is called being objective. It's still a great song.

Don't know about the other person but It is my observation that they won't give her a song or they would have done it by now. When I heard Rainbow Dash speak about ponies "bursting into song" randomly, I thought it was meant to falsely tease the viewer into thinking she would sing but then when Rarity butts in out of nowhere, it is meant to symbolize the fact that RD will always be overshadowed. Just a thought.

It's not bad. I like it, but it's far from my favorite. Definitely catchy, however.

The song is really good, but I still prefer "Hearts as strong as horses"  Overall though season four's songs have been mediocre compared to many of the songs in Season 1 and 2, but then again it's hard to go up against perfection.

I disagree. Ashleigh doesn't normally have that rasp in her voice that Dash does, so I think that AJ might be the better character with which to show off her talent.
