Today, Challenger Ethan fought me over the Fist Badge. Breloom, Gallade, Heracross and Primape clashed with Pikachu, Espeon, Samurott and Infernape. 

 

Near the end of the battle, when a weakened Fist Gallade was about to face down Ethan's sole remaining Pokemon Infernape, a communication error occurred, preventing the epic conclusion from taking place, and preventing a Battle Video from being saved. Ethan was granted the right of owning a Fist Badge, as Infernape was likely to outspeed Gallade and KO it.

The challenger Ethan took on the Aurora Gym and after the challenger's Samurott, Pikachu, Infernape, and Espeon clashed with the gym's Aurourus, Abomasnow, Lapras, and Weavile, the challenger walked away with the Aurora Badge.

Afterwards, the challenger continued on to battle the Spine Gym.  The challenger's team took on the gym's Skuntank, Nidoking, Venusaur, and Dragalge, but after a close match were unable to claim the Spine Badge.

I have over 30 Shiny Eevees as well as over 60 shiny starters, however, i wouldn't mind taking on the challenge for laughs and giggles.

Challenger Ethan fought for both the Navi badge and Candle badge. The challenger used Infernape, Pikachu, Samurott, and Absol. The Fairy Type leader used Azumarill, Togekiss, Whimsicott, and Mawile. Whereas the Fire Type leader used Heat Rotom, Talonflame, Chandelure and Charizard (Mega X).

 

The challenger was not successful in beating either of the leaders.

Unfortunately, my internet messed up just before the Navi badge battle was finished. Though we did fight til the last turn, the battle wasn't saved. A summary of the battle is that Azumarill killed everything.

The challenger used Volcarona, Jolteon, Metagross, and Greninja while battling the Fire type gym, and then changed that to Volcarona, Jolteon, Lucario, and Greninja while battling the Fairy type gym. The leader of the Fire gym used Heat Rotom, Chandelure, Charizard, and Talonflame. Whereas the Fairy gym leader used Azumarill, Togekiss, Whimsicott, and Mawile.

 

The challenger was not successful in defeating either of the gyms.

For challengers following the thread, I have a small announcement on my part.

 

Due to the Auroura gym being somewhat of a push-over, I've been hard at work to give the team an overhaul.

 

The Auroura Gym is changing names to the Tusk Gym. The signature Pokemon has been changed to Mamoswine. The gym's type remains Ice, and of course previously distributed Auroura badges are still viable in the challenge!

 

Here's hoping these changes make the ice team more worthy of being considered a gym. Happy challenges!

Now, do we have to use a 3DS and online to do it? Or can we use pokemon showdown? Because I would totally do it for pokemon showdown if someone wanted to do that. I could get Ralts' from breeding my kirlia that I got from wonder trade and use them. The thing is, breeding and EV training a team with the main game is a chore, I'd just prefer to use pokemon showdown to make it easier on all of us. If you're fine with letting me have a gym that is. Otherwise, I'd be up to challenge it.

 

And do we use Smogon rules, like moody clauses and stuff?

We run on 3DS, and 3DS only, since that's where the Eevees are distributed from. I suppose you can battle the Gym Leaders on Showdown, if they have accounts there, but I wouldn't really consider it official. You have to put in the work. EV training isn't really a chore anymore with Super Training, either. It's more of a fun minigame now. 

 

Now don't even get me started on IV breeding.

 

We don't strictly abide by Smogon's rules, but we do ask for fair play. So stuff like Sleep Clause and Moody Clause are implied. We do allow any pokemon that isn't both a legendary and uber to compete. Wanna use a UU Mesprit? Feel free. Blaziken right in your play style? Go right ahead. Just keep your Groudon somewhere else.

Yeah, all battles in online play are auto-leveled to 50.

Our leader Firebolt decided to take on the Tusk and Spine gyms as well!  

 

She managed to easily defeat the Tusk gym's Abomasnow, Mamoswine, Cloyster, and Glaceon with that little ball of hatred called Rotom-Heat.  Oh, Aerodactyl, Heliolisk, and Lilligant were there too, though they didn't need to be.

I don't think there are any Elite 4 yet. As we get more leaders some people will move up to the Elite 4. As for night battles that's up to the gym leader.

I'm not sure about the IV's, I was breeding for shinyness, not really for stats. However, I can illuminate you on the specs of each Eevee.
