Thoughts on moderators.

umm...I have not been active on this forum long enough to really see any moderator action...but I am sure they are lovely people, even if what I have read indicates that they are rather silly sometimes..but that is not a bad thing ♥

I am fine with the Super Mods but there is a certain one I am not happy with that is in the normal mods, I will not say who it is. But I just want to say that.

I have only met one (maybe two, I'm not sure I remember) real mod before because I haven't been on this forum for very long, (and Feld0 of course =P) although I just met like 3 more by reading this whole thread, lol

There are two major differences between my job at Wal-Mart, and my moderator position here.

• Wal-mart gives me money for my work, but here I give Feld0 money to help keep the site up.
• I actually enjoy working on the forums here as a mod. Wal-Mart sucks

The other mods are all awesome ponies. When I first joined I was glad to see the admins actually involved in the community, rather than just floating in the background, waiting for somepony to make a mistake they could fix like pretty much everywhere else.

 

One thing I don't understand is this strange fascination everypony seems to have with Zoop... Sure he's awesome and all, but seriously guys, he's just a bald Oregonian. Feld0 is the one who deserves the fan club

i love Zoop. i am extremely close to him as a friend, and he's always being helpful and supportive towards me, no matter what. he's my giant, bald, cuddly teddy bear and i love every fiber of his body, soul and mind.

 

Feld0, on the other hand, i barely know anything of, even if i knew of him before he started these forums. even if i appreciate all of it when he started this website (seriously, eternally grateful for this, Feld0. you really have no idea), i'm in the Zoop club because of what i said above.

 

i love Zoop. 'nuff said.

 

(this is not to be confused at all. i still love Feathers deeply and will never let go of him. Zoop is the closest friend i have. Feathers is the love of my life. simply put)

I think the only mods I've ever actually talked (Through text, of course) with have been Ary and Zoop, and those guys are awesome. I'm incredibly grateful for the moderation system here. I think one of the reasons I like the mods here is that they act like actual people who communicate with the members, participate in the forum games, little things like that. Makes them seem much more human. On the other end of the spectrum, I've never seen a post from Feld0 that wasn't automatically generated. Might want to step your game up there.

I'll make this my serious post, I suppose, since my other ones haven't really concerned anyone but Feld0. While Feld0 is a great guy, and, of course, the guy I have to thank for my position in the first place, the other mods are all awesome to work with, too, and I'm proud to call them my friends! Heck, I'll give everypony a breakdown on what I think of all of the mods individually. (Don't worry, it's all positive!)

 

Feld0 - Everypony should know that I hold him in high esteem. I don't hide it, and I'm not just here to kiss up to him; he's seriously an impressive fellow! He manages to juggle multiple successful websites and his school life while he's only sixteen years old. If that isn't impressive, I don't know what is.

 

Zoop - My first friend here on the forums, I knew he would make an excellent mod before Kurtiss had even stepped down from his position as an admin and started the hiring of mods to begin with. Sure enough, he got the first moderator position, and for great reason. He's calm, collected and intelligent, but not above being silly and mingling on the forums.

 

Swoop - What can I say about Swoop except that he seemed like an excellent choice? His intelligence isn't even questionable, at least not in the field of vocabulary. He's a bright member on the staff and a good choice for a super moderator, as he is reasonable and rational in his actions.

 

Jonke - This guy was my first friend out of anyone here, but that's due to me meeting him over at Wii U forums. He started off as a moderator of the Minecraft server and forums and worked his way up to a standard moderator, proving to be as competent as you'd expect from this intelligent, if not shy, Swede.

 

Klopp - He's my bestest brony buddy, by his decree, and I'm pretty well inclined to agree with him. He's always ready to enforce the rules here on the site and is as silly as he ever was before he received his promotion to being a moderator, making him a very likable fellow even now.

 

Arylett - A moderator with a section all to herself now, she's proven more than capable of being able to establish an intelligent, organized new Role Playing forum and enforce the site's rules without being a crazy banhammer wielding psycho. As the only female member of the staff, she deserves a bit of recognition for putting up with the obvious sexism that's in place for our staff here. (That was a joke; we're not sexist!)

 

King K. Roop - I can't say that I know this fellow very well, personally, but working with him and seeing him in the chat I can tell that he's friendly yet responsible. He'll never be quick to jump in with a banhammer in the chatroom, but he's far from one to shy away from his responsibility and he'll be sure to let members know when they're breaking the rules.

 

Apple Bloom - I don't really know him very well and I can't say I've seen him around too much moderating things, but when he does do his job he does it right, so I suppose there's no complaints to be had.

Nico - Nico was probably the first actual friend I made from these forums, and well... I guess that might make me a bit biased in my opinion. But Nico is a good mod. He seems mature and mostly tolerant, minus the occasions where he becomes a bit too... Nicofrustrated. But with a job like this, it's understandable. He's good at not taking nonsense, but at the same time, is understandable and tries to give people chances before being overtly harsh with the banhammer. Also, if anything, he's really dedicated to watching the chat and making sure it's under control, which I respect.

Unlike other forums the moderators here are reasonable and were well chosen. You can't go very wrong when you have Swoop and Zoop as super mods and the standard mods are also just as good as their jobs.

Well the proof behind the success of their work is really shown through how smoothly the site operates. Hardly ever have I seen conflict or problem arise that hasn't been taken care of almost instantly (which alone leaves ALOT of other sites in the dust). Overall just look at how far the site has come and how well it's handled the influx of new members. It's all due to the excellent managing skills of the mods

The mods on this site? Fan-fluttershy-tastic. I have never been on a site with such competent, mature, unbiased, and all around FUN moderators!

I know King K Rool the most. I talk to Jonkay a lot, Klopp too. Sometimes Feld0 is on the Skype group. So is Arylett. Then the rest I don't talk to often. You only have yourselves to blame
