Don't really have a favorite military or anything. But favorite military vehicle would be the German Leopard 2A. When it comes to helicopters it's the UH-60 Black hawk helicopter. Then it's the ACR rifle as well as the 50. cal Barrett. Favorite jet is the German Tornado. Also, like the humvee.

Hmm, I'd have to say the United States Marine Corps.
For weapon? Gah, there's too many, but if I had to choose one, it'd be 870 MCS probably because I own the civilian model.
For a vehicle, I'd say the LAV-25.
Would we be allowed to post kit that is no longer issued? i.e. WW2 era

Kinda off the top of my head:

 

Specific military? Eh ... I've got no real favourite, but I do like the Canadian Armed Forces ... totally not biased in any way whatsoever ... no but seriously, I also like the Russian Armed Forces, and the US Armed Forces.

 

As for favourite vehicle, well ... on the ground, I'm gonna have to go with ... either the BMD-2, BMP-3, or T-90. One of those. For aircraft, I really, really like the MH-6/AH-6 Little Bird. My favourite chopper to fly in Arma! And the Mi-24 Hind is pretty awesome as well.  

 

Weapon, I'd probably go with an LMG or something, like the M249, or the PK machine gun.

The fly-overs are always a fun thing to notice, and due to where I live it happens quite often. I live near a military installation and an international airport, so it seems like there is a constant buzz of rotors and engines in the air. I have seen many even fly close enough to identify. Chinook is the most common, least one about every Wednesday, but I have seen a few Blackhawks around, about half a dozen Littlebirds and I swear even a few Apache Longbows. I have heard so many helicopters I can make a good guess at how big it is by the sound alone.
