best way to make manes look nice again

I noticed some of my ponies aren't looking there greatest no more XD and the weird thing is all they do is sit on a stand for show in my room, I don't play with them just collect.

Would the best way is to just place the hair in warm water, brush it, place it the way you want and let dry? I don't want to get into cutting and changing the mane in anyway I just want the hair to look nice again and not in a huge frizz ball...

I dunno what ponies you have, but I know how to damn near perfect Rarity's mane and tail using a wrap-around technique :D

Eh. Regardless, what I suggest is going and finding a brushable that comes with a comb; I have a Rarity styled one, and lemme say, man, if you sit there and comb it over and over and over again for about 15 minutes and get all of the tangles out, then you're gold and it'll look straight ;)

For specific stylings, boil some water and have a bunch of mini-rubberbands ready; some paper towels, too, for later. Dip the manes and tail into the still hot water, but don't let it touch the pony itself at all. Just get it close to the head/plot, but you won't be able to get the whole mane/tail wet; this is a sacrifice that you have to make, because if water gets inside of the pony itself, then it'll get all stinky and nasty after a while and you'll be able to smell it from a mile away, because it'll mildew.

Then, on how to style it, just look up how to do it on Youtube; I know that there's a lot of good tutorials here, too; I'm linking you the Rarity one because I have it bookmarked, but this user has all of them, I believe:

I hope I was able to help in some way :D
