I thought about this the other day,

well before seeing twilight time,

wasn't even thinking of flight to the finish,

 

one of the things holding the show back is the writers keep making the main six re learn lessons.

 

Flutter shy relearning not to be shy,

rarity learning not to treat her friends last , (it will be the main theme in her episdoes in the future I will sig bet anyone who says other wise)

Pinkie having a emotional crash (i'm not sick of this one yet lol),

twilight having a mental break (still kinda fun),

Aj being sturborn,

and Dashi.. well dash having to shame down the wonder bolts.  How often do we gotta see that?

The problem is the main six by now should at least for the most part have their act together.

 

So what than?

why can't the main six help other ponies?
Twilight time showed that.

 

We already got 2 out of the main six teaching the cutie mark crusaders,

and it WORKED amazingly well as an episode.

 

...even aj and rarity teaching trender hoof.........

I guess it was good seeing the Mane Six help others, that was good to see.

well the main six teaching the main six is great.

Pinkie apple pie for example,

but that might be hard to expect from the writers on a regular basis.

 

I think it would be neat to see flutter shy help someone else over come stage fight.

Actually shouldn't rainbow dash been the one to help flutters with that?  Sonic rainboom?

 

Rarity might been a good teacher for the cmc instead of twilight to remind them of it's important to remember your friends.

 

seeing as how the basic levitation spell is something rarity could taught sweetie bell,

the ability to take something apart and create might been something she could helped scoots with (though i don't think the scooter would been a scooter anymore lOL),

 

Not that i dis liked twilight time,

 

it would help move things along having new ponies with problems than seeing the main cast relapse cause well,

 

they writers don't know what else to do at times.

Still I do agree that it would be interesting to see a few more episodes where the mane 6 help teach others. But I feel that would also getting boring in time. So maybe a good balances would be good. Mane 6 still learning episodes and some times them teaching lessons.

The Mane 6 setting an example for others is a constant theme in the key episodes. Magical Mystery Cure was a symbolic moment where the students became the teachers.

This kind of balance is pretty much what we are seeing, only the "teaching others" needs to expand beyond just the key episodes. Maybe something for season 5? Edited February 23, 2014 by pegasusexpress2010
