It would be significantly creepy. Look Rarity, just because Prince Blueblood turned out to be a classless douchebag, and just because Trenderhoof likes Applejack instead of you, that doesn't make it acceptable to be a cougar (or an apprentice cougar).

Pfft. Rarity is mine.   But yeahh, the dynamic of the show would be different, and it would be a bit creepy considering all the factors.
