There are 2 kinds of people. There are ones that tell only the truth and others who tell only lies. They are indistinguishable from each other from the outside. You meet three of them. A, B and C.

A says that all three are liars. B says that only one is a truth speaker. Which ones are liars and which ones are truth speakers?

Well if A said all three are liars that will include A is a liar  too.  and since B said one is telling the truth that would be A, who  speak  the truth that they are all liar. but then again B could tell a lie that A is speaking the truth  so then neither since its all contradicting

That's the wrong answer. A can't speak the truth because that would lead to liars paradox. The liar never speaks the truth. So not everyone can be liars. If B was a liar, he would speak the truth, so he cannot be a liar. (controversial law). This means A and C are liars. B Speaks the truth. (Brownie point for trying.) 

If Alex doesn't feel like going to school, he stays home. Alex stayed home. Therefore Alex didn't feel like going to school.

Is this conclusion formally valid?

nope because the last part there's could be another reasons beside "not feeling like going to school"  why would Alex stayed home.
