The whole point of his character was to do it. It'd be like if Pinkie Pie stopped throwing parties but once every year she'd still have a birthday party for herself. That'd 100% ruin her character. What do you not get about this?

Wow, it's almost like we disagree that he lives up to his character in every appearance. How weird is that?    I'm at least trying to explain why I feel he doesn't live up to his character and not just saying that I'm right and that you're clearly proven wrong because of the fact that I am right.

No, would you stop acting like you've provided the most definitive proof ever, please? You can disagree with me but my point still stand for holding my own opinions and your arguments have amounted to little more than "They didn't phrase it that way in the show" and "I'm right because you're wrong and you're wrong because I said so." I think his character was ruined because his purpose was to cause chaos and now he's hardly doing anything whatsoever. He ruined the whole town originally and now he's kind of annoying, big difference. Maybe just agree to disagree or provide an actual argument before you say I'm just wrong because so far you've done very little to even attempt to actually prove me wrong at all.  :okiedokielokie: We can agree to disagree, though. Discord....proposing to Fluttershy...... reminds me of that sarcasm remark made by Daring Doo to Ahuizotl.  However, I, for one, dislike Discord, b/c he's just annoying, yet I respect John De Lancie, voicing him, but just the character, himself, I dislike.  Anyhow, Fluttershy would most likely say no to him.

Bam, giraffe legs!", "Normally people drink the milk, I'll drink the glass!", "Normally houses are on the ground, now they float!", "These ponies act this way, now they act the opposite way!"...It was all just kinda 'opposite day' stuff. He just took the rules of various things and flipped them around but that's still revolving his chaos around those rules. It was not pure chaos at all.

 

If he wanted to be really chaotic, he'd have turned the bunnies into multi-eyed blobs that suck up ponies like vaccuums or something and had the houses transform into giant animate Breezy marionettes that spontaneously explode and then the debris comes to life and starts playing hide-and-go-seek. Utterly nonsensical stuff detached from any sense of order or law, that would be pure chaos. As it was, everything he did in his debut followed an internal rule of just kinda being the opposite of the default. (Unrelated: In Discord's next appearance, he needs to be munching on Breezies from a fun-sized chip bag because the image is too darkly hilarious to not exist.)

 

Also, that you just basically stated that Pinkie's entire character is "PARTIES!" (To paraphrase: "If she stopped throwing parties all the time, her character would be ruined!") shows a certain failure to understand characters. I mean, really? She throws a lot of them so her character is just "parties"? Guess Dashie's character must be "lesbian" because her mane is rainbow-colored then, or maybe "sports". And Twilight's character must be "books" because she reads a ton. I think I realize why you're too hung up on the whole 'pure chaos' thing now. You don't seem able to comprehend characters beyond a single trait.

This is Discord were talking about, the baby could be anything. I doubt it'd be the antichrist since Discord isn't a satanic creature. That role would probably go to Sombra. Other than that, there is no pony Satan.

The only thing bad about Discord is he "plays deity" by creating disharmony among the ponies (which is really bad in the ponies' perspective) for his own entertainment and he has the typical villain need of using his powers to shape the world to his desires.

I didn't say it was her entire character, I said it's such a big part of her character that if it was taken way she would be out of character and a ruined version of herself. This is fact, PINKIE LOVES PARTIES!!!!!!!!

Discord would never marry her. If he did he'd probably be his trolling self,hurt her feelings and make her cry....which is not cool.  Nothing  makes me more upset in the show than seeing Flutters cry...It makes me want to just wanna be there to hug her and say everything's okay.  I think Discord knows enough that he'd never intentionally make her cry anyways, even if he is the god of chaos. So he'd never ask her out, knowing he'd just make her cry in the end. 

 

and I don't think they'd even write that in the show to begin with....they'd just be simply friends as they are now. Nothing more.
