Dargent 80 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 I was devastated when while looking for a Vinyl Scratch background I was confronted with R34 materiel almost immediately.Even while searching simply for "Fluttershy" I found NSFW right off the bat. Hm, here's what you can try: instead of using google, instead search DeviantArt which I think is where you can already find just around if not at least 90% of pony fanart. DeviantArt is a largely SFW website with a Mature Content Filter in place so you can't really go wrong there.
Zhortac 1,475 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 Of course, you have to stop it at your end. Google won't, because they get quite a bit of money from making sure that stuff is up front, or whatnot. Like it or not, that kind of thing is a big business. Feel free to add me on steam if you want to play something. Also don't be afraid to message and talk to me. I've had bad luck when I start a conversation, so I more then likely won't start one.

Andaasonsan 3,205 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 It's gotten to the point where "If you can't handle this sort of thing, you shouldn't be on the internet." because there's nothing that can be done to stop it. All this "flagging" nonsense isn't going to do anything, sorry I became a fan within the last year or so, and I've actually never seen any "hardcore" clop. Just the occasional suggestive picture, so it would seem from my perspective that the flagging is actually working. Though it probably helps that I also don't spend a lot of time on places like Derpiboro. 2 Application REJECTED!
Panne 1,342 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 Nah, i'm a clopper but i can still tell right from wrong, And this is wrong. Right from wrong on the internet? Sorry but I think it is up to the person to defend their own computer from "filth". There is no moral right or wrong on the internet. Regulating the internet about what is right and wrong doesn't end well. Heck most of the time it falls flat before even starting, ask SOPA.

Manman20x6 359 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 Rule 34 exists for every show. A lot of people search for clop, so Google automatically suggests it to people who type the name of MLP characters in Google Image Search. The word "clop" by itself is not offensive, what's offensive is the images that clop refers to, and if you have Safesearch on these images won't show up, even if Autocomplete suggests it as a search. I think clop is no different from any kind of furry porn. Some people like it and some people don't, and if you're in the latter then you should at least respect the former even if their tastes are different from yours. That's kind of what I was saying you can tell me that RariJack, clop, or my crippling addiction to Jontron are wrong but in the end it's the wild west on the internet! spezzzzzhdafuigb 49 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 (edited) Actually, the autofill indexes your previous search terms and qualifies what it should guess next. Just say'n. Awww snap! That must be pretty embarrasing lol EDIT: Ok I just looked that up and the same thing happened to me. Does that say something about me or is it just commonly searched? Vinyl Scratch. 604 March 9, 2014 Author Share March 9, 2014 I don't have anything against cloppers, and I'll admit, I have looked up r34 before but think of this: If you google the name of a porn website or something, it wont show up in the autofill suggestions. But if you google anything related to mlp, chances are r34 will pop up straight away in the suggestions box, we have to think that this show is based at a younger audience, what if a young girl is, for example googling fluttershy and sees "Fluttershy r34" In the google suggestions and gets curious, well, you get the idea. FoxyCryptid 4,330 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 I agree we should make every effort to help keep safe search clean for the kids, but parents also need to do their part of guiding their kids because some sexual pony art is pretty low on the totem poll of screwed up shit on it and there's far, far worse to stumble on. 2 "You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. PsychedelicPony 440 March 9, 2014 Share March 9, 2014 To be honest, the reason r34 comes up pretty quickly is because more than likely your safesearch is off. When it comes to adults searching with safesearch off, I hope they have the discretion to not view r34 if they don't want to. When it comes to a child searching safesearch on is the default setting so they would not view this unless 1. they took it off on purpose or 2. the parent had taken it off and forgot to reinstate it Sig by The Frozen Pegasus Avatar by Royal Samurott
