Including another Loony Tunes show (already), another Scooby-Doo show (already), and another Tom and Jerry show. What do you guys think?

Personally, I'm wondering what they'll do with the Loony Tunes and it at least sounds more promising than their last show but, I'm not really digging that damn squirrel. It looks too generic and it's name is fucking Squeaks which has got to be the most unoriginal name you could come up with with no thought or creativity besides Squirrely. I'll give it a chance but it looks like something some executive added because they thought it'd sell.  >_>

The new Tom and Jerry might be good, I like how they didn't try and give them a shitty redesign but I personally don't like it as much when 2D characters have no outlines. That's a small nitpick and I'm not saying it will make or break the show but it makes them look really flat.

Scooby-Doo was never really a franchise I cared too much about, I already saw people bitching about the name (Be Cool Scooby-Doo) but I don't think that's a huge deal. Shouldn't we base the show off the show itself? The description doesn't sound awful and I kind of like his design.

The rest of the shows I don't really have much of an opinion about.  :P What do you guys think?  :)

I am with you on the Looney Toons show. I wanna see what they'll do with it.

I actually liked the last show of Looney Tunes they had with Bugs and Daffy living together.

Yeah, I watched that show pretty consistently and found it pretty enjoyable myself but I thought it was flawed. If it's the same crew maybe this will be a chance to take all the good stuff they had in that show and make it even better and more true to the originals and just funnier in general.  :)

The Bugs Bunny one certainly looks better than the Looney Tunes Show. Also Sonic Boom and Clearance look decent to me. I've personally had enough of Scooby Doo to watch another show on it. And I looked on returning shows. Could it be? Annoying Orange is not returning? It's canceled? all right!

TBH, most of them suck.  However, I will be looking forward to Looney Tunes, Tom & Jerry, Scooby Doo, and more Pokemon X&Y. That's pretty much it.

Meh. The lineup is okay, I suppose. The new Tom and Jerry doesn't look too bad.

The only shows I really care about on CN are

  • Steven Universe
  • Adventure Time
  • Pokemon X and Y

The Looney Toons Show was fine, they should've kept it going.

Tom & Jerry...Nobody cares.

Scooby Doo...Mystery Inc. did some great stuff with the franchise but beyond that, it probably should die.

I know that this is "semi" off topic here, but who else is really upset with what they have done to Teen Titans, that used to be one of the reasons in itself I would watch Cartoon Network. Teen Titans Go, I mean its the charcters you know and love, but not the show.

Found a trailer for the new Tom and Jerry show and I'm really not digging it. The gags just don't look very funny (and this is supposed to be a cut together of all the best to get you to watch it) and the animation looks alright but not as good as the classics or even Tom and Jerry Tales or those really lame movies which I thought managed to keep a really great level of quality even when the show or movie itself sucked. The animation isn't horrible or anything but I was really spoiled by the fact that shit like Tom and Jerry Meet Sherlock Homes or The Wizard of Oz still managed to have beautiful animation even when the movies themselves were super lame and the characters didn't do anything.

Also, that music sounds so familiar but I can't place my finger on from where.

The gags look funny and full of slap stick to me. Then again I wasn't really a fan of Tom and Jerry as a kid.

Yeah, there's clearly slapstick so there's at least that, it's just something about the actual execution. Then again, it mainly comes down to timing and if they need to cut that many scenes together for the trailer the timing would be lost so maybe it's still funny in the full version. :)

Cartoon Netwo-- CN, because clearly they don't air any actual cartoons anymore, died a looong time ago, as with Nick, Disney - all that hippygippy. They can try to revive the show all they want to, but in the end, they're just kicking a dead horse.

R.I.P

My two cents.

Did you read the article or any of the posts? There are no live action shows this time around and at least a few of them sound and look promising, in most of our opinions. You're free to your own opinions, it just seems like you didn't look at it.

Also, no offense but, I feel like people that grew up with something as a kid that see that it's different at all later (which is inevitable) just want to complain about their childhood being ruined. Again, no offense, I'm not singling you out but there's a huge group of people I've seen who won't give things a chance because they want to complain about it not being the same as their childhood. I don't get it but I can only assume it stems from nostalgia. Can't we give new things a chance and still have fond memories of the things we had as children?

I can speak about a couple of these

Clarence: The preview of it that was released a while back didn't endear me. It seemed like a really boring and tedious example of the "random shit happening" style of writing.

Scooby Doo: The art-style shown on the poster is already not making me feel good about it and what little I've seen of the current Scooby Show has just been "meh, it's okay" and it's actually pissed me off at least once. I'll have to wait to pass judgement until i actually see something of it though.

None taken.

TBH, the new Looney Tunes show is hilarious, and it serves as a glimmer of hope. But in my head, that still won't add up to years and years of streamlining. It's nostalgia man, it's like a drug. You can't really get rid of it.

Well, I think we can agree that there's still hope for CN, but Disney & Nick? Not a chance. Period.

Some, uh, interesting stuff there... although I don't watch much on CN these days save for the very occasional Adventure Time or Regular Show. I'll say that Sonic Boom somewhat intrigues me however.
