Inconceivable! Still no Ponies at Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards?

MLP:FiM has been around for over 3 years now, and it has come such a long way; but it has still not yet touched one place I think it deserves to be, candidacy for the “Favorite Cartoon” Kids Choice Award in Nickelodeon’s KCAs.

 

Yes, the KCA’s: Nickelodeon’s annual awards ceremony where the kids get to pick who will win the title for “Favorite TV Show”, “Favorite Book”, “Favorite Actress”, etc.

 

In the past, the candidates for the KCA’s “Favorite Cartoon” have included (among others) well known and groundbreaking shows such as “Rugrats”, “Tiny Toon Adventures”, “The Simpsons”, “The Powerpuff Girls”, “Pokemon”, and “Avatar: The Last Airbender”.

 

This year’s candidates are “Adventure Time” (yuck), “Phineas and Ferb” (a worthy candidate), Spongebob Squarepants (despite it being over milked for more than it’s worth), and Nickelodeon’s version of TMNT (I personally would rather watch other versions). Once again, there are no Ponies.

 

But, I’m certain many of you will agree that MLP:FiM would have made a better candidate than either TMNT or even “Adventure Time”. Now even though many of us are a little too old to participate in the KCAs (I don’t vote anymore); I still think you’ll all agree that MLP:FiM deserves to participate in Nickelodeon’s KCA’s. I do sometimes wonder if Nickelodeon is afraid of the likely influx of votes from Bronies all over the world and thus believes MLP:FiM is “way too good” for the other shows to have a fair chance against it.

 

I’m certain even Tara Strong (who just recently called herself “Queen of the Bronies” on Twitter; and I agree), who as we know also plays “Timmy Turner” at Nickelodeon in addition to Twilight Sparkle would agree that MLP:FiM should be a candidate in Nick’s KCA’s come next year.

 

I think we should all petition Nickelodeon.

I personally think that it's more Brony-like to talk about the possible rather than the impossible.

The possible is that this show is exposing all of those awards shows as complete bullshit frauds, as if the DreamWorks scandal at the Annies a few years ago wasn't indication enough, and that this show was unfortunately only able to compete at the Leo (British Columbia) Awards, where the competition probably isn't all that strong.

I for one would sign that petition if someone made it. I was literally checking to see if MLP was in the KCA just a few days ago. I'm not saying the KCA actually matters but it would be cool to get MLP more recognition. (Plus that fact that winning would be inevitable with all the fans that will spam vote lol)

I don't see the big deal with winning the Kid's Choice Awards. It's not like one of the big awards actors and actress are aiming to win. So even if it won, I don't think anyone would make a big deal about it. And even if I was voting, I would most likely Vote for TMNT over MLP. I just like that one more right now.

 

Besides I don't think MLP is that popular with kids. Adventure Time, Sponge Bob (which should be kicked off the list for being on there for to long), Phineas and Ferb, and TMNT are just more popular with kids then MLP. That's just what I think.

Now here's what would happen if Mlp was nominated:

Sethistro would post this on Equestria Daily and just like every time Mlp is nominated for some award, every brony would vote spam every day and Mlp would win and some executive would get fired for no lying and saying Spongebob won.

I admit that Adventure Time may not be the best show for kids, but it's not that bad all the time. There are worse show's to watch. So I wouldn't be bothered by the fact that they are watching it. Besides, even if parents told them not to watch it, they would find away to watch it. Even if ADT was kicked out for not being good for kids, I think they would have a different show ready to pick and I don't think MLP would be high on that list.

Yeah MLP might be popular with some older viewers, but this is still the kids choice awards. So it's going to be based on what kids like and I have seen more kid's playing Adventure Time, Buying TMNT toy's, watching Phineas and Ferb, and wearing SpongeBob shirts. Never have seen playing with MLP stuff. Even if they had Tweens and Pre-teens I just don't think it would be a high number who watch it compared to the other shows. MLP is popular I just don't see it being popular with that group.

I would like to say that I lost interest in the KCA quite a while ago. Nick still has a, few good shows but the awards aren't really that interesting to see anymore. I'm surprised Adventure Time and Pokemon was even nominated since its Cartoon network that airs them. (Both good shows btw)

 

Now onto MLP being nominated. Frankly it wouldn't matter much because the show already has a lot of publicity what with being the kingpin of internet memes. Besides that I think bronies would spam vote the heck out of the show if it were up.
