Introduction

The Circulation is a roleplay about a group of skilled individuals looking for an ancient relic hidden within their own planet. No one knows about it's whereabouts, but that doesn't stop them from looking for it.
 

Plot

 

The main plot will be attempting to obtain a relic called God's Hand that might or might not exist, hidden deeply within the very depths of the planet. Some say the people who look for it end up getting lost within the endless labyrinth, others say that the relic consumes whoever lays eyes on it and some even say its hidden in a parallel universe. No one will ever know the truth.

This all takes place on a planet called Cynrador. This is all happening within our current era where people travel around in cars, trains and airplanes. Guns exist alongside espers, magicians, warriors and assassins.

We'll be travelling around the planet which resembles Earth in some ways, such as technology, vehicles and buildings. The only thing different about Earth and Cynrador is that criminal activity is higher and humans with magical or superhuman abilities exist.

Exploration and creativity is a huge part of the RP as we'll be exploring many places around this fantasy planet of Cynrador as we attempt to locate the mysterious location of the relic.

 

Combat

 

Combat will play a huge role within the RP. You'll have three choices of combat. Melee, Magic, Esper or Marksman.

1. Melee is basically either fighting with your fists or using a melee weapon, which could be anything ranging from a katana to a longsword to a battle-axe.

2. Magic is a bit more complex. There are many systems for magic, but since this roleplay takes place around the entire planet, there can be many types of magic, so as long as there is a system for how you use magic, it should be fine. If you want to be a magician in the RP, please pick a system below or create one yourself and post it when you're signing up.

• Inner Mana: Uses mana contained within yourself. The advantage of using this is that you can use magic anywhere as long as you keep it contained within yourself. The disadvantage is that if you run out, you'll need to drink a potion to replenish your mana or to rest.
• Surrounding Energy: Uses energy around your surroundings, allowing them to cast spells. By using this type of magic, you'll be either leeching off nature or any sort of energy. The disadvantage is that you won't be able to use it everywhere since energy doesn't exist everywhere.
• Rune Magic: Uses runes as a source of energy. The advantage is that it can be drawn on any flat surface and activated at will, but the disadvantage is that it takes time to draw them which makes you vulnerable to others when doing so.

3. Esper powers are basically any power that you can think of. It can range from flying, teleporting, controlling an element and all sorts of things. Choosing his however, will limit you to only one single power. A power that gives you the power to do multiple things are not allowed, only manipulating that one single power is allowed, as it won't be fair.

4. Marksmen are people who use guns such as sniper rifles, rifles, pistols, shotguns etc. As long as it's a proper gun that exists IRL and is easily purchasable at gun shops, then it is allowed. You can even create a dart gun of some sort if you wanted to, as long as it's not overpowered, it's fine.

Rules

 

 

The rules are just the usual.

• No god-modding
• No overpowered weapons
• OC has to be original
• OCs cannot be flawless
• Develop your character slowly
• Kissing is allowed, but don't make it too detailed
• Keep all the OOC talk on this thread
• Make sure your grammar is understandable
• Post more than the bare minimum
• Remember to have fun

 

Signing Up

There are going to be two or three groups of four depending on the amount of people who join. Even though we aren't on the same team, we'll roleplay with each other sooner or later, but remember that you'll be spending most of the time roleplaying with the other three players in your group. You could have a squad leader or not, and if you want to give your squad a name, feel free to do so.

I'm actually rather interested in this. I'll create a character (Actually adapt a character I've used for other RPs before) for this tomorrow, though I have a question. If we choose an esper power (I'm thinking telelectrosis, or electrokinesis) does that mean we can use the power in any way we can imagine it, so long as it's in the extent of reality?

As long as your power and what you imagine makes sense, it's fine. There are limits however, so don't make it too unbelievable.

Until we have two to three more people join, I'm not sure when it'll start, but if it's taking too long, we can start first and the others can drop in along the way.

It would be better to give it a bit more detail, even though you won't be using it yet. If it's some secret weapon, you can keep it a secret, but if it's what he'll be using every time he fights, then you should write it on your page.

That's the thing. She's not really a fighter, and if she has to fight she'll usually just use her environment or rely on any allies she has at the time.

Well, I think it is only right to tell you, that this is a combat RP. And so, unless your character is a strategist and stays behind telling others what to do, she needs an ability or weapon to defend herself with.

I am aware that it is a combat RP. I guess the question is whether a nano-disassembler counts as a weapon or not. If it doesn't, I'll have to come up with something that fits thematically.

It depends. Lets just say if I were to attack you with my dagger and I was running straight at you, how would you try to counter-attack me or stop my blade from going straight through your heart with your "nano-disassembler"?

I really don't want you to leave but it's just that you would have killed my OC in one shot. You can't just do that. You have to give your opponent a chance to dodge an attack, whether it be a slice of a sword, a firey spell, gunshots etc.

That's the thing, You didn't ask what my character would do, You asked what I would do. I'm a pragmatist, You were a threat, thus the most efficient and lowest-risk strategy is the best. However, in character it would be different. Hell, in character I'd probably try to reason with you and only resort to disarming you if there was no other option available.
