It's been a difficult fight for both characters, but Braeburn proved to be the stronger of the two as he barely ropes Babs Seed 15-13.

 

Now for the other semifinal... The ever stoneful Maud Pie takes on the flashy in Cheese Sandwich...

Do you realize how conflicted I am here? Maud and I share a personality to an extent, or at least I understand her very well. Cheese Sandwich is just so gregarious that I have to love him. This must be the toughest decision I've faced here...

These decisions just keep getting harder, Cheese Sandwhich is Weird Al as a pony ad Weird Al is awesome but the tie breaker here is that as awesome as he is he is a male Pinkie Pie while Maud is a character unlike any we have ever seen in this series. Maud Pie is a great contrast to Pinkie Pie but also a great compliment to her, they are different from each other but you can still clearly see the love between them. Maud Pie is the best character introduced this season (aside from the season finale villain who is now my favorite villain) although Cheese Sandwhich is a close second. Her relationships with Pinkie reminds me a bit of my relationship with my brother, except he is more of a Rainbow Dash and I am more of an Applejack and Twilight combo and our differences are stark but not quite as much as Pinkie and Maud's. Go Maud

Despite how much Rainbow Dash would want to win this competition...she doesn't qualify for it and is not involved...she is a competitor in the MLPF World Cup! The link to that competition is in the scrolling banners atop the forum, or in my signature! haha

Button Mash is a fan character. So he is not eligible for this tournament. He almost qualified for the 2014 MLPF World Cup though, barely losing out to Granny Smith. That in itself is an accomplishment.

And so, although Cheese Sandwich put up a valiant comeback effort, it was halted short by time as Maud Pie goes past him 17-14.
