HeroSparks 232 April 25, 2014 Share April 25, 2014 So as you may probably know Nintendo is releasing Super Smash Bros on 3DS this summer and WiiU this winter. Also, as you may or may not know, Nintendo has been needing/trying some serious big guns to help them out. So maybe with such a diverse cast in Smash, we'll see some new franchise games announced at E3 this summer. Probably at least a new Metroid or console Zelda and with as much as they need it MAYBE (big maybe) a new Starfox or F-Zero. So what does everybody else think? What do you think the possibility of getting some franchise games besides another 3 Mario games is? 2 When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree next to the river of truth, and tell the whole world"No, you move." Fox 5,331 April 25, 2014 Share April 25, 2014 I think their main focus will be Super Smash Bros Universe and the new Zelda game. Hopefully they'll surprise us with something in the end. For new stuff, I'm really hoping for a new Starfox, F-Zero, or Metroid game to be announced this year I'm also expecting a new IP or two this time Strange I was interested in a F-Zero game. Even though I have never played one, I think it would be a good play. Also, hoping a metroid is announced. I wouldn't even mind is it was a game for 3DS. Something comparable to Metroid Prime Hunters DS.

Or that S.T.E.A.M thing that was announced a while back Or they could always bring back Project HAMMER(whatever happened to that?) HeroSparks 232 April 25, 2014 Author Share April 25, 2014 Typically, I'm fairly against Mario games, just because of the sheer amount that gets released compared to everything else but I wouldn't mind a new Mario Party since it's been awhile since the last one. The last F-Zero game (I'm not counting the TV show based Game Boy ones) was beautiful even on the Gamecube. I know Mario Kart has kinda become the big Nintendo racing game, but F-Zero was so much more intense which is something they really need right now. And onto Starfox, they really don't have any other game that's like Starfox so they have no reason not to do it. Metroid really needs a good boost right now too, especially after how Other M was received (personally liked it but can understand the hate), it made an amazing FPS with Prime which is another genre Nintendo doesn't have anything for When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree next to the river of truth, and tell the whole world"No, you move." Give him a break, stick to the main titles and the occasional kart racer and RPG, that's all they need
Radiance64 7,059 April 26, 2014 Share April 26, 2014 I hope for a new Metroid announcement. I mean, I really want that at least... Other than that, I hope for some trailers for the new Zelda, X, SMT x FE, and Yarn Yoshi, along with a new character reveal or two for Smash. Maybe some reassurance of their third party relationships as well, hopefully MK8 will make enough sales to bring some more on board for Wii U at least. Oh, and hopefully they'll have a real press conference and not just a Direct this time. They could really use that sort of publicity.
Geek0zoid 1,468 April 26, 2014 Share April 26, 2014 I really hope for a new Metroid game above all else. I recently bought Super Metroid on the Eshop, and there's been almost nothing else I've played since I've bought it. I'm itching for something like a new console Metroid game. Same goes for Zelda. I have Wind Waker HD already, but I don't exactly want another HD re- release. I want something new, y'know? I mean, sure, we've got that Hyrule Warriors thing, but that doesn't really seem like something I'd enjoy, Zelda or not. They've said it numerous times in Nintendo Directs. I'm certainly expecting we'll see something of it this E3 at any rate.

I don't remember exactly who it was, but I remembered that they were rather infamous for making low quality titles for certain franchises. I'm certainly expecting we'll see something of it this E3 at any rate. Yup, Aonuma (the current director of the franchise) was even going to unveil it at last year's E3, but decided against it for some reason. He was also going to reveal it at some comic con last year, but he decided to talk about ALBW instead. On topic: To be honest, even just a new Zelda will probably satisfy me (I've only played Skyward Sword and Wind Waker, as far as the series goes, and they were two of the best games I've ever played), but a new Metroid would be really nice. I'm a rather casual gamer, at least probably in most "hardcore" gamers' eyes, so I'm not familiar with a lot of the franchises everyone is raging for. Bright Honor 2,834 May 1, 2014 Share May 1, 2014 They really need to deliver this year. Last year's E3 wasn't terrible, but it was boring and predictable and ruined by stream issues. There needs to be a good surprise or two.
11th Doctor Whooves 794 May 1, 2014 Share May 1, 2014 I'd kill for a new Star Fox game, especially if it were more like Star Fox 64. Don't get me wrong, I liked the Gamecube game, but I still go back and play 64, that's how much I love it. Also, if they really want to make a new Pokemon Snap, that'd be nice too.....come on Nintendo, you know we want it, give it to us already!!!!! HeroSparks 232 May 9, 2014 Author Share May 9, 2014 Microsoft will drop Rare, and Nintendo will pick them up like they should have in the first place. ...A girl can dream. Fun fact, you can't get the Donkey Kong Country trilogy on the Wii Virtual Console anymore. I'm guessing it's because of Microsoft owning Rare and being butts about it So I heard Nintendo is gonna announce a new home console next year. Admittedly it makes me a little sad that they're giving up on the WiiU without really even making an attempt to save it with some good games. I have one and I really like it, it just needs a better library. I'm still hoping they still give the WiiU some love while they have it though and not just move everything back a couple years to the new console. Also, this is only speculation and there may be nothing to worry in the end anyway When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree next to the river of truth, and tell the whole world"No, you move." From what I've heard they're only making new consoles exclusively for emerging markets like China(who recently lifted it's game console ban)
