This is probably my favorite of the Rainbow Rocks shorts. Probably due to favorite pony bias. Also Pinkie and Rainbow play off each other nicely. Also Pinkie is best drummer.

This Rainbow Rocks short just really entertained, just like the other ones but this one did it very well. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were in complete harmony, with the comedy and everything else.

Yeah honestly I feel like Equestria Girls is actually better if it stays away from the main plot. From these shorts I've realized that it's entertaining on its own.

That drum solo reminded me of one of rock's greatest drummers, like Bonham, Peart, and all those gods in drumming. Still not as good as them, of course.

I was thinking the same thing. When watching this short, I didn't feel like I was watching Equestria Girls. The characters were done really well in this short. As others have said, Pinkie and Rainbow have perfect harmony. This movie seems to have a lot of potential.

I really liked this short when I saw it the other day. I loved Pinkie's huge "glitter drum". That was just so perfectly her. I also found it really interesting that Rainbow appears to be the one starting the band. I hope this scene is in the actual movie and honestly I think it will be. The crazy face Pinkie made when she was panting made her look like she completely lost her mind. I attached a pic of the particular scene I am referring to.

Yes I agree that this was great character development for human Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Seems like without all the "get the crown" plot going on they are able to really develop the human mane 6 as unique characters this time. In "Equestria Girls" Rainbow seemed underused so I was glad to see her get more focus. I think the music plot and Pinkie gaining her pony ears and hair/tail represents the harmony between Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie in their interactions and the friendship between all the girls in general. My guess is that the idea of a musical harmony is going to be connected to the Elements of Harmony/harmony in general as a metaphor and a lesson for the movie.
