Besides both of the new consoles have 8 gigs of DDR5. 

 The Xbox One has DDR3 RAM, which is fine for everything but graphics because it's too slow for that kinda stuff, while the PS4's GDDR5 RAM is good for only graphics because its latency is usually much higher than DDR3. Moot point though because every PC GPU, mobile or desktop, since at least 2008 has at least 1GB of GDDR5 RAM while there's usually a much bigger pool of DDR3 RAM for everything else.

Unfortunately not all PC gamers are like that, but those who just shout "PC MASTER RACE LOL PEASANTS" and are completely serious should be rejected by the PC community as a whole. We should not associate ourselves with these people.

This holds true for the new consoles as well.

 

So given the choice between console and PC some choose PC and as GTA 5 was written on a PC, why not port to PC? Personally I don't care because GTA has been meh since 4 and my sandbox needs have been filled with Just Cause 2 mp mod and Saints Row.

GTA V is a shooter / racer / sandbox.

 

Shooters work best on PC, as you can flick the mouse easily to aim to one side, etc. Unlike the controllers, where you have to sit and wait.

 

Racing games are usually great with mods, and what better than a PC port?

 

It's a sandbox, and PC's are usually classed as the master race. The graphics and gameplay can be improved immensely (not that the gameplay needs to).

 

So, yeah, a PC port would be great for the community, and for rockstar to just sit back on their chairs and just make coders make all the things people want as add-on mods.

first of all, I'm a total PC gamer, I play PC more than anything. but when it comes to GTA V on PC, I'll give it a pass. Rockstar, to be fair doesn't have good security in their games, look at GTA IV, Red dead redemption, Max Payne 3 and even the GTA V already on consoles. all of those titles were hacked, almost to the point of unplayable. rockstar then says they will keep hackers in sessions with other hackers, but guess what? they've always found a way around that. my point is that the PC version of GTA V, much like IV may turn into a hacked out online mess

Excellent modding community, some people don't own consoles, bigger multiplayer lobbies, (potentially) better graphics. Nine times out of Ten, a game is just better on PC. This isn't me being a PC elitist, I own all three of the next gen consoles, but I find myself getting the PC version of most of the games that come out. It's just because the PC version is usually superior.

I've played XBOX 360, PS3 'n' the PC, and, honestly, you're lil consoles do the same thing. Stop stereotyping PC gamers to be people who want to show everyone how 'excellent' and 'exciting' a PC is. All platforms usually call eachother 'fags', use 'gay' like it's the only way to breathe air, and, well, fap on microphones. They're generally the same. That's outta the way, let's analyse.

 

PROS:(i'll be listing five so i don't drag it on)

 

CONSOLE:

 

Easy to use, just buy a game and turn it on.

Good interfaces with most consoles.

Graphics are usually sharp.

Indie market's pretty good for a start in game development.

Controllers are smooth and feel good in your hand.

 

PORTABLE COMPUTER:(yet again, five)

 

Hardware upgrades all the time, faster and stronger.

Shit ton of free games, whether they be flash or downloadable.

Keyboards. Easy to use, brilliant for chatting.

The mouse is generally nice and is great for FPS/Point+Click.

Getting Mods for games is generally easy.

 

CONS:(dundundun, another five)

Chat interfaces are usually shit, you're pretty much forced to buy a headset.

Communities terrible at points. Fuck up once and you're known as 'Sir Faggot McDickshire'

Indie market's for consoles generally have no standard, so you end up buying flash games for 5.99.

Pretty costy nowadays.

Too much gritty and brown FPS games on 'em. They should both be called 'Pistol 360' and 'Revolver 4'.

 

PORTABLE COMPUTER:

Good computers are pretty costy.

Mod downloading, at times, is as worse as your computer trying to survive without important files.

Search history bar Computer's are costy to fix at times, and can break easily.

Online gaming isn't as fun as couch buddy gaming.
