Applebloom has a secret she's too ashamed of admitting so she keeps it hidden under her bed:

I guess she really did like her after all and didn't want to look uncool in front of her friends? I wonder how she managed to sneak it away from Big Mac? :lol:

 

Unless Big Mac plays with her in Applebloom's room.... a bit odd if true! :huh::)

If I had a bit, for every subtlety in this show that can be taken as an allegory for what it's like to be a Brony...

 

I'd have DHX produce my own show.

Nice find! Maybe Big Mac gave it to her because he wasn't under Twilight's spell effect anymore.

 

Thanks! I thought the spell wore off as soon as Celestia swooped in and cast her all-powerful anti-Twilight-magic magic on everyone, but maybe she missed Big Mac? :lol:

Haha, how funny.

 

I would say this is either where Big Mac keeps Smartypants, or Apple Bloom really did like the doll. Who knows! I'd believe either, personally. :)

I think it's more of Big Mac's secret. You see, Big Mac was never quite comfortable admitting his love for playing with dolls. So, whenever Smarty Panta isn't with him, Big Mac plants it in Applebloom's room. That way, if it's ever discovered, everyone will think that Applebloom's has been hiding it and Big Mac's secret will be safe. Big Mac is a sneaky guy.

I think it's more of Big Mac's secret. You see, Big Mac was never quite comfortable admitting his love for playing with dolls.

I got the same vibe from Big Mac at the end of "Lesson Zero" when he looked in both directions to see whether anypony was watching him - he didn't want them to know he really liked Smarty Pants even without the spell. So him playing with Smarty Pants in front of Apple Bloom is what I would find a bit odd. :)

:lol: I do like the idea that Smarty Pants really is popular with more ponies than let on after the spell was canceled out at the end of the episode and we'll eventually see it hidden among all of the CMC's homes and maybe even a few adult ponies too, like Mayor Mare.

 

 

So, whenever Smarty Pants isn't with him, Big Mac plants it in Applebloom's room. That way, if it's ever discovered, everyone will think that Applebloom's has been hiding it and Big Mac's secret will be safe. Big Mac is a sneaky guy.

 

He is pretty sneaky! :lol:

But I'd be careful of doing that if I were Big Mac: If I had, say, a stuffed toy in our universe from a popular TV show many folks thought was meant for little girls I'd be nervous about hiding it in my little sister's room lest they or a parent finds it, wonders who it belongs to, and decides to toss it out. :(

 

Now I suppose Apple Bloom is a bit of a special case since she already knows Smarty Pants belongs to Twilight, so she'd probably simply return it to her. Of course that means Big Mac would have to become Ninja Big Mac and quietly get it back from Twilight again. And now she probably even has royal guards he'd have to sneak by! :lol:

 

I have a head canon that Big Mac is the equivalent of a brony in the MLP:FiM universe and Smarty Pants is one toy in a line of six that were popular way back when Big Mac and Twilight were youngsters, and he was overjoyed to find one of them again and claimed it as part of his collection. :)
