writing Should I Keep Writing Lyrics?

These: are some of what I've written in the last few years:

  •
A hundred battles
A thousand scars
But your love is my salvation
I want to make this world ours
Treasure this time we have together
Rejoice in every moment
I can think of nothing better

In this eternally beating heart
I will always hold your love
Even if we must drift apart
When your lifetime has passed
And you find your way home
And I'm destined to outlast
Please wait for me

You've healed my wounds
Helped mend this tired heart
Feels like a thousand lifetimes
Since someone washed away the hurt
Now you stand by my side
Through the pain and joy
And we hold each other tight

In this eternally beating heart
I will always hold your love
Even if we must drift apart
When your lifetime has passed
And you find your way home
And I'm destined to outlast
Please wait for me

Even when you grow old
I'll still love you like now
Find you as beautiful as this moment
Always love you with my all

In this eternally beating heart
I will always hold your love
Even if we must drift apart
When your lifetime has passed
And you find your way home
And I'm destined to outlast
Please wait for me

Just another face in the crowd
Another voice among the choir
Two more foot prints in the dust
Oh, but we could be so much more

Find that spark
Down deep inside
Let your soul fly free
Let that light burn bright

We can break free of these shackles
We can walk in the light
We can stand free
Find our place in this life

Find that spark
Down deep inside
Let your soul fly free
Let that light burn bright
We truly are so much more
More than flesh, more than blood
So much more inside
So stand tall
Let the world see.

Find that spark
Down deep inside
Let your soul fly free
Let that light burn bright

He listens to the roar of the crowd
Stands in that hot spotlight
Oh, He makes that guitar sing out loud
Gives it all he's got
The girls cheer for more
Yeah, this moment in time
Make's it all worth fighting for

Yeah, don't give up hope
Nothing's as far away as it seems
If you fall, get back up
Keep your eye on that prize
Keep chasing that dream

He never thought he'd find love.
Thought he'd always be alone
Oh, but now he's thanking heaven above.
He watches her walk up the aisle
He feels his heart sore
He feels the tears in his eyes
This moment was worth waiting for

Yeah, don't give up hope
Nothing's as far away as it seems
If you fall, get back up
Keep your eye on that prize
Keep chasing that dream

When it feels hopeless
When you faith has run out
Stand up, stand strong
And remember

Yeah, don't give up hope
Nothing's as far away as it seems
If you fall, get back up
Keep your eye on that prize
Keep chasing that dream

A fragile young life caught in the fray
She's slipping away, growing weak
Too tired to even pray
She's afraid of what's next
Darkness closes in
She drawls her last breaths

She feels so alone
Hope seems gone
Her cries seem unanswered
Until darkness grows to light

She feels the warmth and hears a voice
A soft prayer spoken into the night

May comforting arms hold you tight
Take away your pain, Dry your crying eyes
As heaven's tears fall down tonight

A sister's heart breaks
She shoulders the blame
She cries to the heavens
Can't take this pain
She misses her so much
Tears fall like this cold rain

She feels so alone
Hope seems gone
Her cries seem unanswered
Until her darkness becomes light

She feels the warmth and hears a voice
A soft prayer spoken into the night

May comforting arms hold you tight
Ease your pain, Dry your crying eyes
As heaven's tears fall down tonight

She stands in the soft light
She sees her smiling face
She knows it's alright

Another prayer comes from the night

Safe arms held her tight
Her Pain is gone, Her tears are dried
I took her home that night.

"You know, I don't know who or what you are Methos, and I know you don't want to hear this, but you did teach me something. You taught me that Life's about change, about learning to accept who you are, good or bad. And I thank you for that."

You may be good at it, but I don't like it.

The topics are all things I've seen before. I have never liked repetition.

I love lyrics that make the singer sound special or unique.

Yes, you should always feel good about your work.

But, then, how can you get the motivation to improve if you always like your work?

See flaws, or you'll never know how to correct them.

The extent of my interest is in things that don't exist.

Or, at least, things that aren't in the basic man's senses

Well, simple. You look at it yourself and go back. You can be critical of your own work, but to dislike it sort of puts yourself down.

It can depend. Sometimes disliking your work can bring more of an urge to correct it. Take me for example...

As long as you like what your doing than you should keep doing it. Personally, I enjoy lyric video's because I sometimes want to sing along or because I actually want to hear the video instead of having to watch an official music video buffer.
