I just reactivated it to advertise my Sburb RP, I guess, but I really wanna talk about Homestuck too. x3 I'm kinda new to the fandom myself.

My advice to anyone new is to stay away from tumblr, save for the art/occasional ask blog, it's mostly just a bunch of people who need to check their privileges while checking others, and insisting their "headcanons" are better than everyone else's.  Also, a lot of the cosplayers on tumblr are really, really rude/nasty.  They have an unwarranted sense of self-importance and think they're ~the best~ at putting on a pair of glasses and a T-shirt.

 

Admittedly, tumblr was probably the reason I became more of a closet Homestuck fan and was more open about being into My Little Pony, since this fandom (on and off tumblr), has a lot less unpleasant people.  I'd say 50% of my experiences with Homestuck people were bad, while I've probably never had a particularly bad experience with bronies.

  If I recall correctly, Hussie has changed/deleted (or at least abandoned) several of his "official" social networking stuff.  Occasionally, I get notices from the MSPA game kickstarter, but finding any updates usually involves going through everything with a fine toothed comb.

 

There is a particular Homestuck cosplayer on tumblr that I remember, because his logic was ridiculous.  I believe he usually cosplayed John, and maybe Jake (possibly Karkat, too).  He was known to rip on people's cosplays constantly, as well as berate anyone who crossplayed (or at least, he berated all of the girls cosplaying male characters), or Rule 63 cosplays.  Then he got into Attack on Titan and started cosplaying a female Titan and I think Annie Leonhardt.  It was cray cray.

 

I also went to a Rocky showing that was completely ruined by a bunch of obnoxious/rude Homestuck cosplayers.  I was bumming a ride from someone on staff and they would not leave, which sucks since staff can't leave until everyone is gone.

I like to examine the Tumblr Homestuck Headcanons, especially where fundamentals are involved (Like classpects, for example) but I take everything with a grain of salt. After all they are just headcanons. Everyone knows Tumblr gets... Questionable.

Oh yeah, the fandom is a hot mess, it always has been, especially when pitted against MLPs which, in most instances, seems to have some loose organization.

I've seen April 13th being spouted hither and thither, especially on Reddit. The date's especially important to the comic itself, and within the comic. What do you all think we can expect from Sunday? Is it the end of the Gigapause?

I wouldn't put it past Hussie to be bluffing the sheer size of the Gigapause, but I'm personally not expecting anything. He's missed 4/13 before, just last year in fact, nothing major (that I can remember) happened that day.

Are there any pages or sites that still do OC evaluations? I'm making some fantrolls that I'd really like to get some feedback on, since I plan on doing a fansession with them. Also, is there a character model or template I can use to draw them in a symbolic manner?

Wow there is a homestuck general?, well guess there is a place where i can say this.
 
You know i used to think homestuck was boring, gimmicky and mud paced faster than the plot in it, if there was any plot to begin with, and yet i still think this
 
But somehow after forcing myself trought more than the first pages i start to get this constant feeling of wanting more, of wanting to see whats gonna happen next.
 
Like being a secret military base full of red buttons, you know you dont like whats gonna happen but you still want it to happen to know what it is.
 
And now i cant get off this damned ride, and i got a long way to go.
