Any characters you like in fanon instead of canon?

Due to drought of ponies, I started reading more fanfics, the show, etc to review on my upcoming blog I am starting. I keep finding universes that make me love characters better then the actual maneverse. This changes my outlook on these characters that previously I disliked.

 

I find Diamond Tiara very interesting in fanon. Her portrayal is viewed in a variety of ways-but we see more of her character here than in the maneverse. I fell for her reading stories in Lunaverse where you see her in a better light. Yeah-she is a bully, but we see she's not completely mean.

At the same time, I started liking Cheerilee and Applejack more from if. (Despite how one acts)

None really. I've always preferred th canon personalities of the characters over the fanon ones. For the most part I care very little over fanon

Maybe it's pointless because he only had 2 seconds in the show.

Well, the Vinyl Scratch we're all pretty familiar with is her fan-made form, voiced by Nowacking and a true bass-wuber to her very core.

 

IN the show, she's barely done a thing, really. ^^"

 

Also, I love the whole fan-made idea that "Lyra wants hands", it's so cute I can help but giggle at it! ^^

Yes, Prince Blueblood in TBNE actually shows that even the most odious is redeemable.  As for RD in MAS and FiW -- I do not like the idea of poke-dash and RD is far stronger in Rainbow Dash presents than she was shown in MAS at least in the beginning.

I prefer most fanon incarnations of Twilight vs. canon Twilight.

 

Vinyl and Octavia's fanon incarnations can be interesting, but I quickly got bored with them. Same with Lyra.

 

I started a fanfic in which I reinterpret almost everyone's character in one way or another. I hope I get over my block and finish one day.

Trixie. In the show she's annoying and extremely uninteresting, fanon helped me to see her in a better light and some fans have very good ideas how to make her character more interesting and appealing. But I still dislike Trixie in the cartoon and I really hope she won't appear in the next seasons.

I'm not huge on fanon, because most of the time, its twisted to fit some deranged lame fantasy.
