Minty Wintergreen

Minty nodded at Redwave, walking slowly up the walkway, and looked towards her new surroundings for the next month or so. It wasn't that great - not as great as she imagined anyway. It was actually really small, and she wondered why it was called the Dawn Dreamer. She would have to ask Redwave that sometime when he is actually willing to talk to her. She looked over the boat - she's never been sailing before. Was she seasick? She could always just fly a little bit over the ship. She couldn't fly fast, but she could fly long enough.

Minty flew over to Redwave and landed on the deck with a soft thump. "So.. how are.. things?" She knew she sounded awkward, but she wouldn't want to say anything to anger him - she didn't like being yelled at.

Midnight Sky

Ahead of them Midnight could see the docks, but it took him a moment to realize that the patchwork ship ahead of them was there destination.  He knew not to expect something like what his father had brought him out on back home when he was younger, not much could compare to the Neighland royal flagship, but Midnight had expected something a little less... mismatched. Though he could see that the ship did at least seem well maintained, which was comforting since Midnight had never been too fond of sailing, the rocking of the ship on the waves made it harder for him to focus his magic. Midnight was also relieved to see the changeling return, he didn't particularly like or dislike the thing, but as long as Orion was in their charge Midnight knew they'd have it's support until Orion woke up. "So, how do you think Red will react to our new travelling companions? Somehow I doubt he'll be overjoyed to see Orion on his ship." Midnight said as they picked up the pace to catch the ship before it was ready to embark. Somehow he had a feeling that this little trip at sea was going to be far from peaceful.

Redwave.

@,

Redwave stared right past the green Pegasus without blinking - instead watching as Scribe climbed the walkway and began to wander the deck with an air of uncertainty.

"I have witness better days, admittedly. I have burned, bled and bruised... becoming one with the earth was a particularly uncomfortable - if curiously peaceful - experience which I have no desire to replicate in the near future." He elaborated with a sarcastic smirk. Reaching to his side, the captain flicked the bottle into the air, caught it in a hoof and took a deep drink. "But one doth protest too much! I have the Dreamer, and I have my drink, what more could I ask for? Aside from having to do the work that the guard should be of course... but is that not the way things always were?"

---------------

Kingfisher.

@@Icy Void,

"With a little luck..." Kingfisher murmured to the unicorn beside her as she continued onwards. "... he'll see reason... and dump them in the sea somewhere."

She glanced spitefully behind her. Orion, Zintiik and Mirror - especially that witch - weren't exactly here favourite ponies at that very moment... not that the navigator would go against the word of the Bard. For no clear reason she seemed loath to ever go against his advice: even when it seemed to go against her very nature.

Not that she liked doing as he advised...

"Or y'know... just leave them on an island somewhere. I'll figure something out."

Gwyn

Gwyn stared ahead defiantly. Not so much out of confidence as it was recklessness, as if inheriting the spirit of Willow Starsinger, only much more outspoken. She wasn't going to stay in Noble's shadow forever and nopony was going to stop her now. She walked up onto the ship with a cocky stride, only to trip halfway up and fall on her face.

"Ow..." She said, getting back up, though she wasn't cocky anymore. More like embarrassed about tripping. 'Nice one, Gwyn. First time on a ship and you trip...'

Aegis

Aegis was glad to be on something solid that wasn't a cave or covered in snow. After the last two weeks, he wanted nothing to do with caves, snow, trains or mountains ever again. Nor did he ever want to write another book as long as he lived. He may be more optimistic than before, but he still lacked his former passion and confidence. As evidenced by the way he moved, unsure and unsteady. He made a note to check himself over for any permanent damage caused by the previous week, considering how far he pushed himself.

"Got any food on that ship? It feels like it's been ages since we last ate." Aegis said. He really couldn't remember when they last ate anything, whether it was that long ago or just because he was too busy feeling sorry for himself. Either way, good food would be really welcome as far as Aegis knew.

Minty Wintergreen

"You.. drink?" Minty asked in horror. She snatched the drink away from the captain with a wing and took to the air so she knew he wouldn't be able to get it back. "Since WHEN did you start drinking, exactly?" Minty frowned. "Im doing this for your own good. You can't keep drinking like this," Minty kept the bottle in hand, waiting to see what Redwave will do - maybe she'll throw it overboard. This phony was nothing like the hero she met in the forest a year ago.

Kingfisher.

@@Windbreaker,

"Aye. Red should have stocked up if he's planning on going anywhere." The mare shrugged, winking pointedly at the writer as she continued. "Failin' that, there's always ships biscuit - though y'might rather starve than live on that stuff. Now thats a horror story to write about!"

Chuckling dryly, Kingfisher slapped Aegis across the back with a hoof.

"How you holdin' up?"

Redwave.

@,

"Since... always?" Asked Redwave quizzically - forgetting even to pick and choose his words in his confusion over how Minty was acting. "If I recall correctly - which I honestly believe that I am doing - you might be without a wing right now, if it weren't for my Brandy saving infection setting in..."

Shaking his head, he sighed theatrically.

"Can we not discuss this at a appropriate time?"

"Alright.. but don't drink when I'm around, okay? It's disturbing to.. see you like that." Minty frowned, landing on the floor. "Im just worried about you. Especially since you're.. well, steering this ship. Not to insult you or anything.." Minty looked at the ground sheepishly, only bringing up her eyes slightly to see Red's reaction.

She tried her hardest to remember if Redwave had ever mentioned that he drank. She's heard him mention Brandy, but she never thought that he drank it. It sort of made her see him in a different light - of course it was too good to be true for him to be, well, charming and heroic but he drinks. It could get out of hand, and she'll try her best to stop it. Especially since she wouldn't want a drunkard steering a ship into a possibly very dangerous area.

Aegis

@

"I could've done without the slapping part. But all in all, I'm actually kinda depressed..." Aegis paused, as if unwilling or embarrassed to say the next part. His mare-ish features tended to mask actual problems sometimes, as evidenced by his muzzle scrunching up as if he was a teenage filly too embarrassed to admit a crush on somepony. Eventually, he gave in. "Alright, the truth is I'm kinda jealous and a bit demoralized. Bardic's better at keeping morale than I am, and with everyone else being good at what they do and you have somepony better at my old job than me, I feel kinda useless."

---

Gwyn

She sat down alone by the mast, rubbing her snout. It was a bit sore from her little tumble, but her pride was in worse shape, exaggerated by the fact that she was a teenage pony. And then there's the fact that, so far, the only one she had on her side was Scribe. Not the best way to start making friends. Even worse, Redwave knew she was Noble the Betrayer's sister. She nervously reached out for that familiar connection, if only to hear Noble's voice one more time.

< Brother? Can you hear me? >

Nothing. Just a fuzziness in her head where Noble's voice should be. She withdrew from the connection and looked for a place on the ship where nopony would find her. As far as most of them knew, her brother was a traitor and they'd likely send her away if she was caught crying for him.

Midnight Sky

"Some food will definitely be a nice change of pace. Even my dry biscuits are almost gone." Midnight said when he heard food get brought up. He didn't expect much, being that the food they will get is meant for long voyages at sea, but the taste of nearly stale biscuits grows old. As they kept going, Midnight overheard what Aegis said to Fisher about not feeling needed and being depressed. It saddened Midnight to see that the enthusiastic writer who appreciated a good story was now a depressed pegasus who looked like his spirit's been crushed, though Midnight could relate a little, after all he suffered through the same events.

"Hey Aegis, don't stress over it so much. By this point all of our particular areas of expertise aren't as important as simply living, and believe it or not but Bardic just can't take your place. Remember when we talked way back when we first arrived at Neighagra Falls? If I recall we were talking about your books and how your darker but more accurate stories of the Crystal Empire back in Sombra's rule weren't very popular, but were still excellent books and important for keeping to the truth of things. Well think of it this way, despite how horrible this current situation is it is still vitally important in shaping how each of us acts, so instead of worrying about the dark parts, focus on the good this all has brought us. We have knowledge of magic beyond our full comprehension, we've learned a bit more about ourselves, and we have all made some new friends along the way. So in truth you're talents are some of the most important in our group, who else is going to write a book that covers everything that's happened lately using first-hoof experience in what happened so that we can remember and learn from everything that's happened, because Bardic sure can't.?" Midnight said. He was fully aware that he had rambled on too much and Midnight felt very self-conscious after giving that motivational speech, but he hoped it helped Aegis work through what he's feeling, and maybe even help everypony else out too.

Patience

@

Patience remained silent and trailed behind Scribe and the rest when they made their way down to the docks, simply content to follow after her question had been answered seeing as she had little interest in chatting needlessly... Though she was uneasy for the entire trip as she was anticipating an attack from something, she figured that the Jumpers and their kin where driven away from most of the roads but she wasn't about to let her guard down till she was on the ship and she had checked the dam thing over from top to bottom. Last time she had assumed that it was clear one of them had nearly torn Dice to pieces, the dam things could practically smell it when you dropped your guard... And she wouldn't put it past them to actually be able to do that, they learned too dam fast for her liking.

When they got to the docks and Patience got a chance to see how few ships there where in any condition to be called a ship she relaxed slightly, Not to many places to jump from with nothing but wrecks and derelict vessels around... Of course this only lasted until every time they walked by a abandoned ship on their way to the Dreamer, there was plenty of places to jump from on those few vessels that could still vaguely be considered ships. Though she did take her time to pause and look at one particular empty spot in disdain as they made their way down to the Dreamer. *'Offfffff course, i bet he fled the moment things started to get hard. Dam coward didn't even tell the rest of us that he'd left...'*

Though when they arrived at the ship Patience sat behind the rest to examine it for a moment... While it wasn't the biggest or most top of the line ship it was still a pretty nice little Caravel. It may have been patched up enough to look like there was little that hadn't been replaced at some point in its past but to be honest... That only spoke well for the little ship to her. It had lasted a long time and wasn't sunk yet and its captain clearly cared enough to keep it in good shape thus it was reliable and even better the Captain was. You could have the newest ship in the sea but if it where untested then it might have design flaws yet to be found, same goes for the captain, but this vessel had obviously taken its kicks and kept on going.

That said even with her opinion of the ship and its captain being rather high when he started his speech and rounded on them Patience merely listened attentivly, visibly unimpressed at the bravado even if she was listening, to the captains words and shook her head after he went on deck. He must have assumed she was an Equestrian but she was completely willing to listen to him in the exact manner described. Problem was that Equestria only carried as much weight as it carried bits to her and the sisters meant nothing without their coin... She wasn't getting paid. Sooo she'd listen to him as long as she liked and as far as she was concerned she was following his words to the letter, no breaking of her word required.

So after the others made their way on deck Patience glanced around a moment before sighing and following them on deck... Just in time to see the Pegasus mare grab the Captains drink and fly a meter or so in the air to presumably ensure that he couldn't take it back... Note to self, don't let the mare see her drink nor let her take it if spotted. Either way she didn't want to get involved in that, though a note was taken that there might be brandy on board and she needed to ask about it, so she looked around to find Scribe. She wanted to find out where she could keep her stuff and the Captain was busy. So after spotting the unicorn in question she walked over till there was a meter between her and the stallion before speaking up with amusement. "Soooooo is it time for step two or can you direct me to wherever i'm allowed sleep?... As well as possibly showing me a bit of the ship cause i'm afraid to say that i haven't been on a caravel this small before so i have no idea where anything is on board."

Kingfisher.

"I wouldn't put too much faith in Kazemde..." Shrugged the mare. "We owe him a lot, but he tends to, uh... get distracted pretty easily. I think folks are just happy to see another friendly face."

Coming to a steep embankment, the mare hopped forwards - bracing her hooves against the dirt as she slid downwards and came to a sudden, heavy stop at the base. Another dull thud sounded the form of Orion coming to a halt beside her.

She looked back up towards the others.

"Don't know about you, but for me? It's a relief to find someone that isn't trying to kill us for a change."

---------------

Bardic.

Bardic tore his gaze away from the quill - which had been scribbling away at a notebook in front of his face - for a brief moment as he stumbled down the embankment. On reaching the bottom, he returned to the characteristic scribbling, oblivious to the world around him.

---------------

Redwave.

Issuing a sudden bark of laughter, Red smirked.

"Indeed? If the sea unnerves you then you might wish for the bottle yourself before we return... should we return at all!"

Grinning broadly, the captain darted across the deck of the ship: towards the rear was a raised platform above the captains cabin - below decks were a jumble of mismatched 'rooms' which had been mostly converted from storage space over the years: one side of the ship seemed to be considerably newer than the other after some kind of disaster had befallen it.

"Our family were never blessed with a talent for carpentry, so it may not be the most beautiful work of art that you might ever cast eyes upon, but she should be sturdy enough!"

"Well, I ran out of nails near the end cabin so..."

"Of for the love of..."

"It's okay! I'm sure it'll be fine. Probably." Scribe grinned weakly.

---------------

Scribe.

Scribe shook his head - ignoring the muttering coming from his bad-tempered cousin. Taking a moment to look over the ponies with them, he wandered towards the front of the ship.

'Its about time we got out and did something again.'

'Yeah but... Well, Red actually knows what he's doing. You don't - your going to get everyone killed.'

He groaned internally - he was right: at least as far as he was concerned. Everything he had achieved in the past, it always came down to dumb luck... to his friends saving his hide at the last minute. What was he doing here?

'Hey, too late to back out now. Better just do the best you can!'

The unicorn thumped his head gently on the raised side of the ship in resignation. He looked up - fully intending to stare off into space...

"Huh?"

Ponies? More than one at least... and they were coming this way. One seemed kind of familiar...

"Uh, hey! We've got company!"

@, Although he had some trouble getting his supplies up the ship Terra was finally able to get his armor and hammer as well as some food for the go. He had some basic equipment for special cases in his backpack but there was no certainty he would be able to account for everything. Redwave the captain of the ship was as his older instructors... reasonably strict to gather his attention and that was acceptable to his standards. They would come in terms in due time he was sure of it... afterall they had to co-operate in order to achieve their goal.

Sometime after them boarding and into the sea things somehow seemed off... the two ponies who led the expedition were uneasy. He approached the one called Scribe and looked at the same direction he was looking.

"What is it? What happened? Is something wrong?"

Aegis

@ Everyone

Midnight's words gave Aegis pause for thought. 'The good times, huh? Can't hurt to try.' He thought as he followed Kingfisher and Bardic down the embankment. He was there with Pavisa and the others when Kingfisher lost her memory, he'd been the one to figure out that the shadows in the tunnels were actually just their inner demons, he even saved Aphrodite on his own once, and in the caves, he led the group for a short while after Pavi and Fisher got taken as hostages. All of these were things that Aegis had done with and for the group. There was the time they stopped for a drink in the middle of the temple and Aegis' ill-timed and awkward conversation with Pavi. Aegis chuckled at some of the memories. Aegis sighed and shook his head, but there was already a difference in his speech and mannerisms.

"Anypony mind if I do a lap or two around the docks? Flying helps to clear my head, and I think the weather is as good as it's gonna get for flying. And we've got some open sky above us for once."

Gwyn

@

After discovering that she had no clue about the ship's layout or where anything was, and having no desire to give the Captain any more reasons to dislike her, Gwyn settled for staring over the railing towards the sea. And when she got bored of that, she sat by the mast again and worked on her crossbow to make sure everything worked right. The only thing was, she couldn't use her magic to assist her, a fact that irritated her since it made her take longer to maintain her weapon. Then Scribe mentioned company.

"Good or bad company?" She asked, holding her crossbow low but unsure of whether or not to holster the weapon.

@@SilverHeart,

"Hmpf, maybe...  I don't like the looks either of them give me, if I got caught I'd likely get tossed overboard with a weight around my neck."  Still in his Pegasus disguise, Zintiik flicks one of his ears in annoyance before turning his head towards the direction of the ship.  "...Oh, great, don't tell me we're meeting up with Redwave.  He knows Tactic's secret, and the last time we met he was kicking me.  Hard."  Zintiik flaps his wings a few times, as though forgetting they weren't his usual insectoid wings and he was trying to make them buzz in annoyance.

"This trip isn't going to be any better than the last one.  He probably won't even let me aboard."  He spares a small glance towards Mirror before rolling his eyes.  "If you wanted to get into their good graces, now would probably be a good shot.  Orion's still unconscious.  One cheap shot on me and you could worm your way into their group...  It's not like I'm a pony, you'd have nothing to feel bad about.  I know most of them already want to do it."  The changeling sneers as he looks around at the group, before slowly turning his head to look at Mirror again.

With that said she took her own turn sliding down the bank after Kingfisher and Bardic, kicking up another cloud of dirt as she comes to the bottom.  Coughing and shaking her head she tries to wave her way through the cloud of dust before turning her attention back towards the ship.  Squinting she tries to look towards the figures on board.  One of them would be Captain Redwave, but there were more ponies aboard than just him.  Wonder who the others are...

Sighing quietly and pushing the thought out of her head, she turns to glance at Kingfisher before making herself smile again.  "So...  Guessing this isn't what ya had in mind back when you offered me a spot working on the Dreamer, huh?"

Patience

@

Patience rolled her eyes at the Captains bravado. Scribe can get seasick she was just fine having a bottle without being sick... That said if she had to pretend to be seasick to get one that wasn't going to be happening any time soon, she couldn't do much of anything if she was pretending to be seasick and it wasn't in the merk to be idle and useless... Even for brandy. That said Patience followed the seemingly eager Captain across his ship to hear him out before checking out the cabins herself, though she shook her head and chuckled at Scribes imput and the Captains unhappy response. As unamusing the thought was of one of the cabins falling apart it was still kind of amusing to hear about with the Captains reaction.

Though when Patience made her way below-decks to check out the cabins she quickly decided that she didn't want to be sleeping down there. It wasn't the craftsmanship that Redwave was quick to dismiss as bad because it wasn't really that bad of work, she'd certainly seen worse, it was merely that below-decks was far to cramped for her and there wasn't enough space for her to move around should she be forced to fight... To say nothing of a few bad memories it was just off putting for the aerial instincts that she'd developed over the years and thus unsettled her a bit to be there.

So after taking a moment to get a good idea of the layout she quickly, and nervously, made her way back onto the main deck and after taking a moment to relax she glanced up to the crows nest before tuning back into her surroundings in time to see the Captain humorously leap onto the prow and state that backup was coming, someone named Fisher and some others. Backup was always welcome as far as the merk was concerned so she made her way past the others to look over the prow of the ship, as tastefully far away from Scribe and the Captain as she could be while trying to get a good view of those approaching.

The other group seemed to consist of an unconscious and really dusty pony... Couldn't make heads nor tails of him with him being on the ground like that despite her vision being as good as it was... Whatever, if he was important then she'd be getting a good view of him soon. A rough looking Cyan earth pony mare. Seemed decent enough and she wasn't incapable if that sword was anything to go by. Then there was a... rather 'eccentric' looking deeper orange unicorn, with his gender being made obvious by his facial shape if not by his more lithe form..... A stallion and a caster, not going near him. Next was a lavender unicorn mare that was obviously a noble... Nobles where sooo much fun... Not really. Next was a white Pegasus stallion. She'd have to note how fast that one was juuust in case. After that was a blondish unicorn... A really strong looking one. Yeah Patience was a bit unnerved by that particular mare on sight, any unicorn that big was just....... Well regardless she shifted a little in discomfort and quickly shifted her sight to somepony else. Near the lavender unicorn was a brown pegasus... Same as the last one he'd need to be evaluated later, he looked to plain to be nonthreatening to the merk... It was always the ones that you least expected. And after them was a pair of unicorns, small cyan filly and a blue stallion... Both looked to be the scholarly type and they where casters so they'd have to be avoided on principal.

After examining the approaching group Patience glanced to the larger unicorn mare nervously for a last time before turning her attention to the Captain and spoke up in an easy manner. "I don't get seasick Captain but i'll take you up on that bottle anyway and i'm thinking that you think to little of your families craftsmanship, it ain't the best in the world but i've seen farrrrr worse than yours out there and some of them got paid for it... Regardless i'm a bit uncomfortable below-decks..." She then opened her wings slightly as if to explain why before continuing. "so might i ask to use the crows nest as opposed to a cabin? I assure you that i know how to secure my stuff and myself on rougher waters so there won't be any risk and i'd be willing to keep an eye out in return as well as any other jobs you wish to stack on to that." And after her question she smirked  and her tone turned semi sarcastic. "I assure you that i won't be getting seasick by the way, i have sailed before in my time. Its the best way to get around when you've got an over-water route... That said i ain't that great a sailor so as far as it goes i'll be needing a few pointers to get an idea of what ya want me to do but don't take me for an incompetent captain..... Anyway what do you need done to get the ship ready to sail captain, i did offer to assist if you'll let me and i imagine that it'd be nice to have the ship ready by the time your friends get here so?..."

Aegis

@,

For the first time since the caves, Aegis grinned. Pavi had said once that she wasn't good with words, but most times, she didn't need to say anything. Her actions were more than enough. And with Midnight's words, Kingfisher pointing out how easily Bardic got distracted along with a demonstration from the pony himself, Aegis felt much more confident in himself and his talents. The crystal around his neck started to glow faintly as he stretched out his wings. A pale gentle green.

"Thanks, guys. Meet you all there." He said, spreading his wings and lifting off. He landed near Pavisa and gave her a hug before taking off again. He hit half his top speed (which was still pretty fast) quickly just to feel the wind rush past as he sped past the Dreamer and made a sharp turn and coming around the bend and skimming the water. The noise in his head seemed to die off and the wind felt so good. He didn't get many chances to just fly and clear his head, but eventually, he had to land when his stomach growled. He came to land near the ship with the biggest grin on his face, his crystal glowing softly and his colours vibrant once again.

"That was fun. And I feel so alive."

Gwyn

@,

@,

It took a few moments for Gwyn to process the fact that the guard from earlier had introduced himself and the green Pegasus mare was sitting by her, given the white Pegasus flying around the ship. When she became aware of it, she tried to be as polite as possible. Though the green one looked nervous. Maybe Gwyn could help her feel better. Or she could make it worse. 'Only way to find out is to try.'

First was Terra. "Nice to meet you, Mister Lionmane. My name is Gwyn. I would love to speak with you further, but at the moment, this poor mare here needs a bit of comforting. Sorry."

She turned to the green Pegasus and put a comforting hoof on her shoulder. "Hey, what's wrong? Are you feeling ok?"

Midnight Sky

Midnight was glad to see that Aegis seemed better, at least a bit. And from he could tell his little speech worked on his sister too, which was definitely good, he didn't like seeing Sunshine feeling down. "Well it looks like Red did some recruiting while we were up north, good to know. So let's go meet our new friends, shall we?" Midnight said, picking up his pace to keep up with Fisher and Pavi but still giving them some space. Looking back Midnight glanced over their newest additions, he had a feeling Mirror and the changeling already didn't feel comfortable around them, and he had a feeling they'll be even worse off with Red around. Midnight also noticed a pegasus that must be the changeling, though he felt like he'd seen that particular pegasus before. Either way between those two and Orion, Midnight had a feeling Red was going to be a rather foul mood once they've all boarded. On top of that Midnight wished he could present himself to these strangers in a more dignified manner, instead of how he is now with his armor covered in dents, scratches, and a fair amount of dirt. Surprisingly enough though the music note lockbox on his side seemed to still be in pristine condition, apparently even the protective wards have wards, he only hoped whatever was inside was still intact and not too dangerous.

Sunshine Rays

Sunshine had been feeling pretty down since the cave-in, she didn't like losing so many friends. Even those strange and somewhat mean ethereals hadn't regrouped with them, but strangely enough her brother was the one to cheer her up, even though it's always been the other way around. How she forgot her own perspective on life was beyond her, but Sunshine was determined to not let her sadness get the better of her again. Looking ahead she could see lots of strangers waiting on the ship they were going to board, hopefully they could become new friends in time. She was also glad that Miss Mirror was coming with them this time, though she wished some of the others would quit being so mean to her and her friends. With that she picked up her pace so she could keep up with her brother, they survived the journey from their homeland together and Sunshine was determined to see that her older brother and herself survived this as well. It would just be a shame for Midnight to die after he finally allowed himself to make friends.

@@Windbreaker,

Minty Wintergreen

"Of course I'm fine!.. why wouldn't I be?" Minty looked nervously from one new arrival to another - more eyes to judge her, more eyes to mock her! Her ears drooped, gnawing on the insides and outsides of her lips as she tried not to be noticed. Of course Redwave's presence wasnt making anything better.. all she had for comfort was this mare. "Do you know these ponies?"

~

It was quiet in the cave except for the pit-pat of the water leaking into the cave ceiling. It was terrifyingly quiet, but it was cold, so very cold. They left her to freeze here, to starve here. Somepony has to come save her. It's been several days since the incident - and the stupid wyvern isn't even in her company anymore. Why did she care? Nopony was going to come anyway. Surely she's expected this. She had to escape. But where were they? She thought and thought about all the things she could do to them when she broke out. What she would say, how she should act..

She is alive.

Kingfisher.

@@Umbreon,

"Great! Uh..." The navigator stalled awkwardly. "... uh... shouldn't keep then waiting. C'mon!"

Taking off ahead, she hurried in the direction of the ship: it had been too long since she had seen it - set hoof on the wooden deck and felt the smooth, familiar motion of the waves... it reminded her of just how little she cared for dry land. Not that the sea was without fault: her suppressed seasickness was likely going to be more of a problem after being away for so long...

But better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

"By the sisters, is that... is he bringing that idiot cousin of his with him? Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel."

---------------

Bardic.

@@Icy Void,

Bardic meanwhile, placed a hoof on the shoulder of the one called Midnight.

"I saw that you have something if mine that you carry." He said: voice soft and gentle, but face unsmiling as he motioned towards the carved wooden box. "You have my thanks for bringing it all this way... did you by any chance discover a second, engraved with a symbol of an ancient eye?"

He blinked.

"It held an artifact which we may require: one that I have been studying in depth, which could prove to be terribly dangerous if not treated with the utmost caution..."

---------------

Redwave.

@@Tricksters Pride,

"If that's what you wish, feel free! As for assistance... well, I don't believe that will be a necessity - though I'll bear the knowledge in mind should we hit difficulty, sailing in these unusual conditions. Myself and Kingfisher there have taken the dreamer through storm and fire without a crew for years - so long as we aren't tripping over ponies, we should be fine."

He cuffed the pegasus with a hoof.

"Supplies are below deck - I reckon there's still plenty. Now, If you would excuse me for a moment?"

Turning, he locked eyes on the approaching party.

"Fisher!"

Redwave leapt from the ship, over the chasm of water and onto the docks as his old companions approached.

"By the sisters, I feared the worst!" He called out jovially as he scanned the remainder of the party. "Pavisa, was it? You look... different."

He paused, before shaking his head and continuing.

"Where are the rest... and is that Bardic over there? And..."

He trailed off - not having any particular memory of Mirror Image, but glaring pointedly at the 'pegasus' who called himself 'Tactic'. Seeing Orion draped across his companions back was a cause for confusion as well.

"I'll explain later, Cap'n."

He paused for several seconds more, before glancing at Bardic, signing and rolling his eyes.

@Everyone

"Everypony aboard! The dreamer takes to the seas again tonight!"

---------------

Scribe.

@Everyone

"Okay everyone!" Scribe called out to the ponies already aboard, though loudly enough that we could likely be heard by everyone. "Looks like that's everyone! We'll be leaving soon - get comfortable, get to know each other... y'know, that sort of stuff!"

He grinned openly, ducking to look below deck before reappearing.

"A few of us might have to double up rooms, but I reckon there's plenty of space. Well... enough space anyway. Probably."

Never quite forgotten.
