How would each of the Mane 6 deal with a backstabbing boyfriend?

A lot of people seem to think Applejack will react violently but it seems like Rainbow Dash is much more likely to do that than Applejack. If you pay close attention throughout the series Rainbow Dash is nearly always the most aggressive and ready to fight, a good example being the episode Keep Calm and Flutter on. One thing I could easily see from both Applejack and Rainbow Dash though is a profanity fueled rant. Twilight would probably try to act compossed and then break down somewhere in private and maybe confide in her friends and maybe Cadence and Shining Armor once she is ready. Rarity would make sure that he looked like a complete ass like she did with Blueblood and then drown her sorrows in lots of ice cream and maybe some wine and chocolates and act a bit dramatic for a while. Pinkie Pie would probably go Pinkamena for a while and might end up going into crazy stalker mode. Fluttershy would run off crying and would probably take quite a while to calm down.

I'm not sure why a lot of people are saying Applejack is going to beat a stallion up if he breaks up with her, but I don't really see evidence for that anywhere. Maybe lasso them and tie them upside down to a tree or something, but a smackdown seems out of character for her.

The only problem with that is the stallion might actually like that at least if he is anything like me. I could only see Applejack getting violent if someone tried to threaten her, her family or friends that is what tends to bring out her vicious side.

Ah yeah you know maybe if the boyfriend threatened her family or something out of anger or if he tried to hit on and get with one of Applejack's cousins or something, I could see maybe a hoof slap to the face or two coming his way.

Twilight would retreat into her books for a while and come out of it, but one day, the stallion would vanish, never to be heard from again.

 

Rainbow Dash would be more than alright on the surface, but cry herself to bed at night.  If anything the element of loyalty might take the LONGEST to get over this, and wouldn't seek help.

 

Rarity would plot behind the scenes and take revenge, making his life miserable.

 

Applejack would go on with her life, treating it as just one of those things.  The stallion might be beaten up by Mac though at some time.

 

Pinkie Pie would not understand how a pony could do that and try to analyze it.  She would annoy all of her friends for a long time ending up with some magical spell cast by Twilight.  In the long run it might make her a bit more lyrie of turning friends into more than friends.

 

Fluttershy would be a wreck for a while, but would get over it within a couple of weeks, going back to her normal routine.

Twilight Sparkle: Writes angry break up letter to him and gives it to him. But she wouldn't tell him face to face.

 

Rarity: She would break off the relationship, keeping her dignity in tact. However, she'd probably cry later in solitude.

 

Fluttershy: Cry and tell her friends about it. Her friends then tell him that she's breaking up with him.

 

Pinkie Pie: Invite him out to Sugarcube Corner. She would break up with him, before she slammed a cake in his face and storm off. In front of everypony there of course.

 

Applejack: Pull him to the side and politely breakup with him. She's strong, so she wouldn't shed a tear in front of him. She's also mature enough to tell him face to face and to do it quietly.

 

Rainbow Dash: She'd yell at him, and probably slap him hard. Then she'd storm off without another word.

 

Edit: i accidently turned it into: "how would the mane six breakup with a backstabbing boyfriend" whoops. But the mane six would leave a boyfriend like that, I bet.

We can all make the jokes we want about them kicking the crap out of said hypothetical boyfriends, but come on, would they REALLY?

 

Twilight- Likely scared and shocked at such a revelation, she'd likely run from the general area, and cut off all communication with him. She'd try to be professional and move on, but the pain it causes her would be far too clear.

 

Rainbow Dash- Initially, Rainbow would be too hurt to make much of a response. She'd let it get to her, badly pretending it isn't bothering her.

But eventually, she'd snap. No, not psycho-Dash or anything, but she stands her ground, and tells him what for, giving her truly bitter opinion on him and his actions, and saying how its through.

 

Fluttershy- Shocked and appalled, Fluttershy would immediately run for the hills in tears. She'd distance herself entirely from everything except her animals. Any sort of payback would probably come from the animals, rather than Fluttershy herself. Yes, she's taken lessons in being more assertive, but a broken heart cuts deep...

 

Pinkie Pie- Pinkie's fear of abandonment would kick in, sending her into a spiraling depression. She'd eventually recover, with the help of some very persistent friends, but she'd likely be much more reluctant to trust anypony new ever again.

... No, I'm not making a Cupcakes joke. Because buck Cupcakes. That story was awful and I hate that joke.

 

Rarity- Of course, she'd be appalled, perhaps even on the verge of tears. Despite this, she would hold her ground and give him the scolding of a lifetime. Much to the dissatisfaction of the viewers, she would conclude by turning away with a "Hmph!", removing a special accessory she made for him, most likely a labor of love-type thing, and try and move on.

... She'd cry herself a flood in her room for the remainder of the week.

 

Applejack- "Now WHUT in tarnation is this?!"

Applejack would be, undoubtedly, the most dignified in the situation. She'd give him what for, and plenty of it. But she'd not lose her cool; just scold him. As the scolding ends, she'd move to buck him out... before kicking the Apple tree he's standing under and letting the incoming apples do the job.

She'd finish up by letting her family know what happened, and have them all force him out with a look of clear displeasure.
