Twilights new home and new song

Am I the only one who was so pizzled about Twilights castle and the song your time is coming soon? Let me discuss about the song, first off it was a boring song played on a small balcony, they didn't go anywhere, they just scrambled everywhere, and there is a animated scene that plainly repeats, and the melody was narrowed into these plain lyrics like, "I want to be my best, I want to do all that I can, I wanna make a contribution, I want to be a part of the plan." I swear to celestia, these aren't lyrics, it's a shopping list that rhymes!

Alright, about Twilights castle, her library was so homey and cool, the architecture was very well designed and it gave that symbol on what ponyville was about, but no, Hasbro decided to BLOW IT UP, so then when they unlocked the chest with the rainbow power, the chest buries itself and makes this ugly looking castle outside of ponyville, leaving the poor tree to ash. I mean, the architecture is very poor and doesn't make sense, and it rips of the crystal empire feel to it. As they walk inside, it looks like a freaking cave, yeah it's cool her friends and twilight get their personal thrones, but walking in there looks like it'll make you go nuts!

 

Well, after going twilight insane on writing this, what do you guys think?

I totally know how you feel about Twilight's castle.  It is unbalanced, has a terrible color scheme, and the inside looks like a dungeon.  It would be a constant state of stress and paranoia living there.

 

The song however I liked.  The lyrics are nothing special, but the singing voices and melody I really enjoyed.

I guess what they should've done to the design of the castle is to complement with the surrounding buildings of Ponyville. You know, adding hay-stack roofs and a white painted exterior with those fancy pink patterns in them. Not only that, reduce the height to roughly the height of Twilight's library. It kind of ruins the sightline of Ponyville. Imagine taking a picture of Ponyville's points of interests, like Sweet Apple Acres, only to find that monstrosity in the background photobombing everything that's your intended center of attention.

 

And for the song, I liked it much as the other songs. What irks me is that Fluttershy and Twilight ONLY have solos,while the rest just joined in for the chorus. I guess it was originally planned to have all the Mane 6 have solos, and probably even have a second chorus with the crowd joining in, but got shelved due to time constraints... -_-

 

Someday, they might release an extended version with each Mane 6 having their proper solo, and even better, a second verse and second chorus with the crowd joining in. Probably similar in structure with 'The Ballad of the Crystal Ponies'.

Well, since it's targeted for girls they just had to give it that girly feel to it. The song "You'll play your Part" was well written though.

Personally, I easily find "You'll Play Your Part" the best song in the series to date. There were so many passionate emotions behind the song. Twilight Sparkle was confused, she didn't know what to do now that she was a princess. She wanted to do more, but had no idea where to start. This song was basically the other 3 princesses assuring Twilight that she was chosen to be a princess for a reason, and while it may seem unclear at the moment, the fact that it was is certain.

 

Also, I actually don't really mind Ponyville being Twilight's Kingdom. I mean, she's got her castle, she's still 'home', and her friends still live close by. I can understand some fans being a little sore on the subject, but this decision was made to improve and increase storytelling ideas. They needed to make a change to open up the door to more episodes.

 

If you're doubting Hasbro, I can assure you that you're making a mistake. Remember Princess Twilight Sparkle? Equestria Girls? Both of those I had huge doubts on. But do you know what happened? I loved them, and they turned out to be some of my favorite parts of the entire series, seriously. Trust Hasbro, they wouldn't do us wrong. ^^

I don't really mind the castle. It's far from perfect and I think a little sterile, but hopefully they can make it work as we see more of it.

While Twilight's new castle does have a bad design if G4 is going to run for quite a while then we need changes like this to keep everything fresh. Plus once Rarity gets to work on that palace it will look exponentially better than it does now.

 

As for the song, it's all four princesses singing what more could you ask for.

I like the song.  i just skip over twilight's part.  Celestia and Cadence sounded great (sorry Luna).  

 

Her castle is way too small on the inside.  It's only like one room?  I sure hope that it really isn't that small.

 

I knew it would happen, but I hate that she's right in the middle of Ponyville for her kingdom.  It's just a tiny little town.  They even have a mayor.  What's going to become of the mayor?  Her job is obsolete now that they're ruled by a princess.

The songs and the new castle were the only flaws of this awesome episode.

 

But we don't know her castle very well at the moment, so wait&see...

You fuckers the episode was great with the castle and song. Fuck you all ok. The song was great no mistakes. The lyrics were describing how she was feeling. She can't just not say how she feels you fuckers. And why can't she sing on the balcony. She can't just travel the empire just singing you asstards. The castle is fine. It looks the way it does because it was made from a chest(sapling) which came from the tree which looks a crystal like. It would fucking have to look the way it does. Retarded haters.
