Rebecca Shoichet herself twitted that Sunny will appear in Rainbow Rocks. I believe it was posted around here some time ago, but I can't find the tweet

I'm hoping she maintains an interesting character and just doesn't immediately become a minion for Twi. Like, still kind of a jackass to everyone else but trying super hard to become better and specifically forcing herself to shape up in a hilariously unconvincing manner when Twi is around. And then her song will be a deep heartfelt ballad about being torn between wanting to change and trying to stay true to her natural ambition. And then it will be sung by Ellie Goulding.

 

Okay I may have gone too far at some point but still.
