Rainbow Dash licks her lips

Look at Rainbow Dash.  Something's causing her to lick her own lips.  What could it be?  A mug of Apple Cider?  A Hayburger with Soy Cheese and Grilled Onions?  Her chance at becoming leader of the Wonderbolts?  Or maybe the autograph of Jack Black?

I decided to play with some simple shading techniques in Illustrator(As you are aware, I'm using Illustrator as opposed to Photoshop simply due to the flexibility of the program) and they came out the way I expected.

Truth be told, I have been trying to replicate the Comics more than the Animated cartoons.  Though my own personal criticism is that one of the eyes is a bit too small.

Well, I have one slight problem. 

 

I don't get that back part. 

 

Another problem is that one eye is disturbingly bigger then the other one.
