  1. Just wanted to say, if you are going to search for a thread, it's actually easier to google search than using the mlp forums search function. Simple type this in google: "site:mlpforums.com TOPIC HERE"

Oh, AWESOME tip! Thanks a bunch - definitely wouldn't have thought to do that

  2. Thank you so so so so so much!!!! <3 That of course explains everything and helps so much. Sorry I didn't notice the clone thread--I did a bit of a look around but I may have been looking in the wrong place, or not far enough back (and didn't use the search function--eek!). Thanks again <3
  3. I think charities can sometimes be quite corrupt--sometimes the trickle down methods they use end up buying a sandwich for the cause by the time your million has trickled down. I think the most valuable thing you can donate is your time. I currently volunteer at a Therapeutic Riding Center in NYC - you'll never believe it, it's called "Equestria" (it was created long before the new MLP though, lol). Anyway I help disabled children ride and grow. http://www.equestria.org/
  4. Hi; I'm just wondering what to do about this; it seems a tiny bit unfair - I haven't gotten up to 40 posts yet as I'm very new. I'm working on getting up there but I don't want to be a spam-maker. I posted in some threads that got moved to the Life Advice forum so now I can't see them anymore. More importantly I made a topic, "Share your paranormal experiences," in the General/Everfree Forest section, which I have no clue what happened to it. Maybe it got deleted, but I was unaware of violating any rules. I think it may have been moved to Life Advice but again, I can't even see it now and it's my own topic. What should I do about this? And if I did something wrong, could someone please tell me what it was so I can avoid doing it again? Thanks <3
  5. 1. Death of a family member. Coolwar13 said it - I don't care what happens to me. I just don't want to lose those dearest to me. 2. Pregnancy/childbirth. I am DEATHLY afraid of giving birth. I don't want to get into it - it's just a horrifying experience to me in every way. 3. Getting raped/mugged/assaulted/shot at/held at gunpoint or knifepoint/stabbed/clubbed/whatever. Yeah. Violent crime. Edit: Oh I should add, one of my other biggest fears is existing in a dystopian post apocalyptic setting where everyone is slowly suffering---think Book of Eli type of setting. To me that would be beyond absolute hell. Watching my loved ones suffer and die in such undignified ways would just be unbearable. I honestly would rather die than live like that, and probably would take measures to see that I wouldn't continue to exist if the world became that way.
  6. If anyone has had anything strange that they can't explain happen to them--everything from missing time, to ghosts, to angels, to alien abductions, to spotting cryptid animals, high strangeness, psychic moments, etc., you name it--spill it! We WON'T think you are crazy, if you are concerned. Also, this isn't a contest so no need to make stuff up, obviously. I find the subject EXTREMELY fascinating and I really believe there is more going on in this world than we think and that science can explain at this point in time. I'm not an all-out believer--I have a healthy dose of skepticism--but I also don't believe everyone who tells these stories is 'making stuff up.' By the way, if you are also fascinated by the subject, try listening to some amazing podcasts/radiow shows on the subject: Jim Harold's Paranormal Podcast http://www.jimharold.com/ The Darkness On the Edge of Town Radio (Darkness Radio) http://www.darknessradio.com/ And of course, Coast to Coast AM (you can find tons of them, up to date, on Youtube, though if you want the official content you have to have a paid subscription) http://www.coasttocoastam.com These are three of the BEST ones out there, in my opinion--the most well-balanced ones I could find. Minimal fluff in there. I can't wait to hear about your experiences!
  7. Strange question! I doubt you'll have to worry about that though, being that color is actually wavelengths. Wavelengths I believe are a result of the basic, basic particles (atoms, quarks, and particularly photons) that build up the matter. So if color was lost, it would mean the base particles changed, and thus the whole universe would probably become unstable. There is a MUUUUUUUUUUUCH more technical/scientific explanation for color which I am not elaborating on here, but that's the extreme basics of it I think. Now something that COULD happen is we could all go colorblind...mysteriously. It would be about the ability of the rods/cones in our eyes and our brain to perceive color. And that wouldn't be nice at all! But I'd take that over being blind any day, that's for sure.
  8. "We are in Transylvania, and Transylvania is not England. Our ways are not your ways, and there shall be to you many strange things." (EEK! Ya beat me - that was for Steel Crescent! As for you, baman: ) "Holy impregnability, Batman!"
  9. I think the term 'brony' is really cute. When I first heard it, I thought it specifically meant "guys who are into my little pony," which of course I love the idea of. It seems to be used pretty loosely these days though and I find it a bit awkward. In fact, at the beginning I thought that girls who liked MLP were called just 'ponies' and guys who liked MLP were called 'bronies'. I personally never use the term "pegasister" because it sounds awkward and not as subtle and clever as "brony" to me. To some degree, for better or worse, it's almost an automatic assumption that girls like MLP, so the term for guys--the 'exception to the rule' (blegh, gender rules, yuckh) in a female-dominated franchise--seemed particularly fitting. But really I don't mind either way
  10. By the way, I'd like to add... about Rainbow Dash. I myself am QUITE a tomboy...but I'm not a lesbian (but I DON'T have a problem AT ALL with LBGT people). I have a boyfriend who I will marry one day. I have about the same balance of masculine and feminine that Rainbow Dash has. Just because you're a tomboy does not mean you are automatically bi or a lesbian.
  11. Honestly, I think this has something more to do with archetypes. While I DO believe there is some strange and messed up conspiratorial stuff going on, I don't think it ALL is. However it does make sense that whatever the illuminati is, that they, wanting to be all-powerful, would choose some of the most powerful symbols in the human psyche. So powerful that they show up subconsciously everywhere, and thus, make people feel like they are being watched all the time even if the illuminati is not directly involved. But I really doubt that MLP has that kind of intent in it.
  12. Thanks to those of you who have added me as a friend! I don't know how to thank you personally without sending annoying short messages to crowd up your inbox, so consider this <3 from me :3

  14. Dunno if anyone here is familiar with these ~ I had allllll kinds of ponies growing up. Official MLPs, My Little Fakies, you name it. I actually remember preferring the ones that looked a bit more like horses. Particularly these: (these are mine, but they're not in the best shape! They've been loved.) I don't know what they are called though - I'd love to find out though, if anyone happens to know. And of course, THIS: (not my pic! I have the same pony though) I just love this one. The hair feels so cool. This was from Hasbro's Cabbage Patch Magic Meadow Ponies line--this is the "Crimp n' Curl" variety, and this one's name is supposedly "Springsong." I have an extremely weak spot for weather-related ponies/horses (i.e., Skydancer from Rainbow Brite is my favorite horse from my fantasy childhood). Anyway, cool cool stuff <3 I'm all nostalgic now.
  15. Doin' all kinds of creative things :)
