Sketches: Applejack and Vinyl Scratch

Having only been a mouse artist before, I got a tablet yesterday, and I decided to practice with it by doing some sketches. I can't do smooth lineart yet, though.

 

The first one I did was a Vinyl Scratch headshot. I decided to add some color but I don't know if it turned out very well.

 

Then, I did Applejack's Rainbow Power form. I left this one black and white, but I might do a vector version later on.

Kinda hard to be "Critical" when they look so good but... I think the only thing that I don't adore is Vinyl's face, specifically the mouth/muzzle reason feels a bit too... Spherical. Like, look at a side picture of her here:

 

 

 

 

 

And then look at your drawing of her. Is it just me or does the face you drew feel more rounded?

 

Anyways... That's about all the critique I can think of... Otherwise I really really like it, keep up the good work! I'd love to see a vectored version of the RPAJ ^^

Your drawings are pretty damn rad for being your first sketches. Good job! VInyl's head is a little too spherical, but Applejack looks perfect.

AJ is almost chibi exxpression it's so cute and i'd say vinyl's colour turned out pretty good
