My thoughts on the NJPW World streaming Service

It took quite awhile for me to finally get this. But finally, after a Paypal option was created, i bought myself a subscription for NJPW World, New Japan Pro Wrestlings answer to the WWE Network. How well does it hold up? First of all, i must say that it's cheaper then the WWE Network. NJPW World only costs 999 Yen a month, which is 7,40€ in europe so that is already a big plus. Their Menu needs a bit to get used to, but it's good overall. You might be a bit shocked at first at the jap

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan dies at the age of 73

I know i haven't talked about Wrestling for awhile, but this is something that is close to my heart. Yesterday, the greatest wrestling manager of all-time and one of the funniest and greatest commentators of all-time, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan has passed away at the age of 73. The way that he died are still unknown, but i rather want to talk about how he lived. Bobby Heenan was one of the most despised heels, in the first golden age of Wrestling in the WWE/WWF between the mid 80s and ea

Mesmes 20 Wrestling Questions

Just came up with these barrages of basic wrestling questions, that pretty much everybody asks me at some point, so i put them here in one blog, without any big intro or something.   So, let's begin.   20. Who is the best announcer of all time?   Jim Ross is the undeniable number 1 announcer of wrestling. His knowledge is second to none and he has been in this business for 40 years. Joey Styles is great too though. 19. Best PPV of all time?   Wrestlemania X-7 blows everything out of the

I have waited 14 years for this moment...

Let this sink in guys...AJ Styles, a guy who fans used to call "Mr.TNA" is the new WWE Champion. I have waited 14 years for this moment, to be reality.   I still remember me and my brother fetching the TNA Tapes from the Asylum years when i was 12. I saw AJ back then and all i can think was "who is that little devil?" Between all the other unknown stars at that time, AJ was the guy who sprung out the most.   I followed his whole career. He had legendary matches in TNA with Samoa Joe, Christo

Me on the concept of NXT

I have to say first, that i love the NXT shows and it's one of the best things, that WWE has going right now.   Let us look at the concept of NXT. It's basically there, to attract wrestling fans who don't usually like the WWE product to the network. The same with the cruiserweight classics. It's basically trying to be the ultimate 'indie' promotion, drawing off all the talent from the actual indie promotions. It's Vince's latest way to dominate wrestling. If the WWE can do indie wrestling, wit

Harry Fujiwara (AKA Mr.Fuji) dies at 81 years of age RIP

The Wrestling world mourns, from the death of one of it's most iconic late 80s characters. Harry Fujiwara, who was most famously known as Mr.Fuji in the WWE in the late 80s and 90s, died at the age of 81.   His most famous role, was being a manager, playing a mostly sneaky japanese stereotype, calling himself "the always devious." The most famous wrestlers he managed whered Don Muraco, the powers of Pain, The Orient Express and WWE Champion Yokozuna.   He was also an accomplished wrestler in

Serious Promos 101 with The Miz and Daniel Bryan

Wanna know what happens, when you don't give wrestlers a script? Magic happens:     This is one of the best promos i have seen on WWE Television, in awhile. The Miz and Daniel Bryan make one hell of a great promo, by bringing in a little pinch of reality into it, turning it into a very serious matter and making the fans actually care for the wrestlers that are in.   I will admit, i was never a big fan of miz, but here he really shows what it means, to be a phenomenal heel. Alot of peopl

early asylum year PPVs on the TNA Youtube Page

You know, i admit i criticize TNA here and there for what they do today. But i would like to do some promotion for their Youtube Page today.   They have uploaded their first few PPVs from 2002, which where called the Asylum Years. Back then, TNA was still financed by the National Wrestling Alliance and the NWA World Heavyweight title was fought out there. It was NWAs way, to find back into the mainstream again. And they didn't had weekly shows, but weekly PPVs.   Announcers at that time wher

Kenny Omega wins as the first Gaijin, the NJPW G1 Climax Tournament

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWusekKBbeM   This sunday, something truly historical happend. Not like something promotions like WWE or TNA use as a marketing gimmick, oh no. This truly is history.   Kenny Omega, the leader of the real bullet club, is the first Gaijin (a japanese term for foreigner) in the 26 year history of the G1 Climax tournament, to win the whole thing. He is one of the top guys right now, in the prowrestling business and at the first wednesday of the new year, he will

WWE Reject Promo on TNA 101

Wanna know a way, how a former WWE star gets over the first time, in the impact zone? Just follow these simple Rules here:   [X] Break Kayfabe for a segment [X] Insult WWE in a diplomatic way [X} We're gonna take things to the top BROTHA [X] Use "Change the landscape and industry" somewhere [X] I was underutilized banter   The crowd will be immediatly behind you and you get an immediate title shot at Bound for Glory, eventhough nothing will change and the company will be out of business anyw

Vince Russo is totally right about Finn Balor

Small guys in combat sports will never, ever   draw in casual fans   and a mainstream audience   the way heavyweights will. And wrestling as we knew it is now over.           This is sarcasm, in case it isn't clear.   Have some Finn Balor awesomeness:

My short comment about TNAs Final Deletion Match

This was the first time in a long time, that i actually watched a TNA match. But after so many telling me, about how great this feud was and how this was supposed to be literally the greatest thing in wrestling, i had to give it a shot.   I will be very short here. I really didn't liked it, if i want to be honest. I will give TNA that, it was a very unique experiment and i have to tip my hat to them. But what most people don't realize is, that unique isn't automatically good. The finish was in

News Roundup: TNA getting bought by ROH? ROH getting shown on the WWE Network? Former TNA Star Eric Young on NXT

Many things have happend in the last few days in the world of wrestling, so i am going briefly through all of them.   Apparently, the owner of Ring of Honor and their parent company Sinclair Broadcast company, are interested in buying out the TNA name, who have been quite in a financial struggle for awhile now. What they will do with the name is not really clear, but it might look like it, that TNA gets merged into Ring Of Honor, with their whole video library and some of their talent wrestlin

Samoa Joe is the new, NXT Champion

https://twitter.com/WWE/status/723352240921047040   It is true ladies and gentleman. Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor, for the NXT Title...at a house Show in Mass. A World title, didn't changed hands at a house show, since Diesel won it against Bob Backlund in 1994 and that was in Madison Square Garden.   But Apparently, Balor suffered a knee injury and the ref made a cross sign during the match, saying that Balor has injured himself, so Joe had to end the match and take the belt from Balor.

TNA HQ moves to a warehouse. This is the end.

https://twitter.com/WNSource/status/719684113725317120   Sorry for not making any Wrestling Blogs in awhile. I have a few other things in my head right now, besides Wrestling. But this Article is just Wonderful:   Source: http://www.wrestlingnewssource.com/news/42174/The-Real-Reason-TNA-Is-Moving-Their-Company-Headquarters/   At this point, TNA pretty much reached the point of no return. Dixie Carter has to sell the company to someone, or this will be the end. Though, i already heard tha

Applejack needs to be put over this Sunday

It's pretty much a comin these days in the EWF (Equestrian Wrestling Federation,) you have alot of underrated talents in the roster that alot of people would like to see succeed, but they are constantly shunned away into the midcard and ponies like Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Trixie, etc. pretty much decide the world title for themselves every PPV.   But it seems like a Southern Pony by the name of Applejack, who has been constantly kept down in the midcard now gets her chance this sunda

NXT Takeover:Dallas, predictions

We're just one day away, from NXT Takeover: Dallas and for some of us, this event might be even more hype then Wrestlemania, with a supercard of awesome matches, that makes the old vin mans main roster look like a joke.   I thought i take the time to predict the matches of the show.   Austin Aries vs. Baron Corbin   Winner: Austin Aries   Aries is being booked as a huge signee, like Samoa Joe, rather than a glorified veteran enhancement talent, like Rhyno. Whether he has a shot at the ma

Stan Hansen gets into the WWE Hall of Fame

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMpYJNCVcr0   This is probably the biggest surprise for me in this years hall of fame, but one that i am very happy with. Stan Hansen is probably one of the most underrated legends in the history of this sport.   He made up the legend, that his Lariat broke the neck of Bruno Sammartino, eventhough it was a botched body slam, that suspended him from the WWWF for 5 years.   He then went on to the AWA to become AWA champion and then got to Japan, where he proba

I am sick of TNA Wrestling (TNA Fans, don't read this) (SHOOT)

I am so sick and tired, of the bullshit things that this company is putting out and calls it the best thing they ever did and i am so sick of hoping that they get better, because quite frankly, these guys won't get better and sooner or later, this promotion will be flushed down the toilet where it belongs.   Here are a few things that piss me off:   -Eric Young is in the midcard with a totally worthless title -There is no blood, eventhough the storylines are mature -Matt Hardy brings his inf

The best Wrestler in the World has arrived at NXT

I kinda knew it before it happend, but i marked out eitherway. They now aquired Shinsuke Nakamura, a 14 year veteran of New Japan Pro Wrestlng and a 3 time IWGP Heavyweight Champion. He is without a doubt, the hottest and best thing, that walks around in prowrestling right now.   I know, there are some doubters out there, that he probably won't be allowed to use his strong style in the US. But right now, i don't care. I think with Sami Zayn, Shinsuke has an opponent which can become match of t

Bill Goldberg was overrated (Unpopular Opinion Blog)

I know that i will probably open a big can of worms here, because i know for a fact that Goldberg was a childhood hero for alot of people. But for what is worth, i will say this. I have no problem with people liking this guy. This is just simply my opinion. And i also say that Bill is a very nice guy personally and is incredibly smart.   Goldberg will always be remembered for being the guy, who had a over 170 winning long streak in WCW, until he got beat in a very anticlimactic way on Starcade

Why WWE Roadblock and NXT Takeover:Dallas, could make Wrestlemania 32 look pale in comparision

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26bw-hBiAAI   Well, we're totally in the Wrestlemania season everybody and it's this time again, just like the last Wrestlemania since 2013, that i really worry about the show as a whole. My worries for Wrestlemania 29 where pretty much confirmed, since most of the matches weren't good and the main event between John Cena and an out of shape Rock was just business as usual for the WWE.   Now i fear that my worries for Wrestlemania 32 are being again confirmed,

The WWE Hall of Fame, will be serving some hard times. :P

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o81nbG2Xihk   The reason why i make a blog about this particular HOF entry, is because he wasn't leaked, compared to the Godfather and the Fabulous Freebirds. I am really one of those people who think that it should've happend 5 years ago already. But i am proud that the late great Big Bossman is finally in.   If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, Georgia. You better read the signs Respect the law and order. You'll serve hard times.
