Posting these today since I won't be home much tomorrow. I guess it's already Valentine's Day depending on your time zone. Drew these up when I realized that I could draw my own Valentine's Day images instead of requesting others for them for once. Anyways, enjoy!

Pressing ctrl+D deselects everything. If you have any other questions about SAI just ask away! I'm in no way an expert on SAI but I've been using it enough to know some tips
-
Very good drawing! It appears you aren't using minimum line thickness. Under brush/pen size there should be a slider for Min Size. Set that to zero and draw to see if you like it. I happen to use it but I know a few artists don't. Also, when drawing in a specific area or shading use the magic wand to select that particular area. Make sure to set it to target all image though.

Alright then, here you go. I tried my best on the colors, but you can tell me and I'll change them if you had something else in mind.
-
I could do this for you. However, I'm not sure my art would be up to standard with yours . I'll give it a try though! No need to do a trade, I don't even have an OC. I just like drawing in my free time. I also draw digitally. If you're looking for a traditional artist you'll need to ask someone else.

You've been drawing quite a lot lately! I like the different styles you used in the last few drawings. Also, I envy your signature very much. Looking forward to more drawings to come.

I don't know if you're sick of my drawing style yet, but I drew this for you anyways, haha. Hope you like it. Never drawn a piano before, so it looks a bit weird, at least to me.

I got that exact tablet on Black Friday because I wanted to get into drawing. I drew with a mouse for about a month before I decided I wanted a tablet. Like other people said, using a tablet won't make your skills better. Tablets just help a ton with making smooth lines. You can tell my earlier drawings were with a mouse since the lines are pretty jagged. SAI has a pretty nice built-in stabilizer that works great with this tablet. One thing to note, this tablet doesn't have any programmable buttons on the tablet itself. It has two of them on the pen. This makes it kind of a hassle to switch tools, but it's still good enough to get by. I have one programmed as an eyedropper and the other as the hand tool. Hope this helps!

Sure, here you go! Rushed it a tad bit, but I think it looks decent. Also didn't create the background, got lazy and took it off my wallpaper folder. If you need anything changed just message me. Drew a second pose according to the reference you gave me. Admittedly, this one was easier to draw. Added a little glow effect since he didn't seem to have enough contrast from the night sky. I can remove that if you like. Again, message me if you need anything changed.

Don't worry, the cutie mark doesn't have to be on your OC. I've had quite a few requests from people that just send the cutie mark, or a reference to create a cutiemark, as a separate image. Just make it clear what you want and artists won't mind doing it.
-
Not volunteering to do this, but I think it would be helpful to any others that are willing to draw this to have a little more detail. Probably how the mane and tails are styled. Have you tried any of the pony creators that are floating around? A visual from a pony creator can really help an artist draw OCs. If you don't have an artist anytime soon I'll draw it for you, but I won't have time today.

I've Taken Up Digital Art (Maybe You've Seen My Princess Twilight?)
Drahgoon replied to Feather Gem's topic in Visual Fan Art
I really like the style you got going there. Very painterly! May I ask what art program you use? Also, if you really want to get into drawing, a tablet helps out, but isn't necessary depending on the type of art you want to do. Hope to see more from you! -
Drahgoon's Journey Through Art - Updated 12/29/12
Drahgoon replied to Drahgoon's topic in Visual Fan Art
Thanks for the compliments . This art is quite old and I've improved since, but I'm still proud of how they look despite using a mouse. I do indeed have a deviantART! Just click on my signature image. It's just for personal art pieces. Any requests I do aren't posted there. All of my drawn requests can be found on various threads in Creative Resources. -
Thanks for the compliment! I've also finished your drawing. For some reason, I forgot how to draw mares at 3/4 perspective in the middle of drawing Sam. Hope you like it! Don't know if you wanted them together or separate, but I put them together for convenience.

That's really weird. The only thing I can think of is that you have an outdated version of SAI. All of the websites that say SAI cannot do transparency are dated from 2009-2011. The people that say SAI can do transparency are posts from 2012. Sorry, only solution I can think of.
-
Huh, that's strange. My version of SAI has an option to save it as a different png type. Maybe you have an outdated version, as I believe this functionality was added about a year ago. I've added a screenshot of my screen of what I get when I save as a png. This menu pops up. I select the bottom option and all the white becomes transparent.
-
Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean by transparency, but if it doesn't have a background you can save it so the background is transparent. Just export it as a png, and when the menu comes up, select "32bpp ARGB (Each pixel have Opacity)". Now the white background should be transparent.
-
Here you go! Sorry it took such a long time. Had some other things to do. Anyways, I hope you like it! Tell me if you need anything changed.

First drawing? Wow! Looks amazing! You have some talent there. There are only a few things that need work. One, the wing. I'll assume you know that. The neck seems a little long and the front right hoof looks a little square and unnatural. Still, very nice for a first drawing!
-
Very nice! If I didn't know any better I would say it was from the actual show! Don't know if you still need this, but for anyone looking for ponydrawings guides http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/01/pony-drawing-guides.html is a good place to start. It's where I got most of my drawing guides that I still use today. Also, I'm not an expert on this, but I find saving as a png takes a bit more space but it's higher quality. Jpg images tend to look a little blurry to me.
-
Yup, posted today on their Facebook page. I use a program called Paint Tool SAI and a Bamboo Splash Pen tablet. Fillerfillerfiller

Saw the shot of alicorn Twilight from the Hub facebook page and really, really, really wanted to draw her. So here it is! I quite like how this turned out. Clothing and my art really don't go together, but it looks half decent. Enjoy!
-
Pretty good! First off, save as a .png. It gets rid of the weird distortion and artifacts caused by .jpg compression. The only other thing I see are that the wings are a bit small. That's about it!
-
Thanks Zygen! Yeah, was fun drawing with a style that isn't as neat as I would usually draw. Practice and more practice sure helped me get where I am with art. If you set your mind to it you can become a better artist in no time.

Thanks for the feedback! This is modern and not yelling Luna . I can see what you mean with the legs. Dunno how I didn't see that sooner. I also just realized the picture I uploaded was one I saved with the darkness layer not visible. Here's what it should look like for the people who are interested. It's the exact same, but darker. It looks better in my opinion.
