Powerpuff Girls fact (in the tradition of @Samurai Oni): I know the anime reference is a meme, but calling the Powerpuff Girls an anime might not be 100% incorrect. :wau: The What a Cartoon! pilot episode "Meat Fuzzy Lumkins" was actually animated by a Japanese studio (Animal House). They didn't work on the rest of the series, though – "Crime 101" was made by Fil-Cartoons (in the Philippines) and the series proper by Rough Draft Studios (in Korea).

Before reading some of the comments on that video, I had no idea Christine Cavanaugh voiced Bunny! The Nordic CN always chopped off the end credits and replaced them with the same one on every episode (just so they could add an announcer).

      Thank you, @Tacodidra!! :mlp_yeehaa:

Though I guess it really depends on your definition of what an anime is. :dash: To me, it's not so much the artistic style, but rather who is providing the creative vision. We are all attracted to anime because of its ties to Japanese culture, their unique view on things, and their way of telling stories. So as long as the director or main visionary is a Japanese person (someone that was born in Japan or has lived almost their entire life there), it doesn't matter what studio was involved, it's anime. However, if someone from the west is the director or leader of the production, then it doesn't really matter where the animation is outsourced, it doesn't count as anime.

It would take a very specific set of conditions for me to say otherwise, but that's usually my rule of thumb. But I don't mind people saying things like "saddest anime moments" as a meme. :derp: It's all in good fun.

Anything that was dubbed into Finnish by Agapio Racing Team. The most emotionless voice acting I've ever heard (and one where I can honestly say I'd do better myself).

Also some older cartoon dubs where they have one person monotonously reading all the lines, including the lyrics to songs if there are any.

Most of the awful ones I've heard have been dubs, I can't think of any original voice tracks that were that bad. :please:
