Wanted to have fun with my favorite alternate universe in the S5 finale. I was letdown for how short it was and I am having all the more fun filling in what happened before Twilight arrived in the alternate reality. Some points I wish to debate with you all.. Or just help me come up with good theories. Ignoring the continuity of Nightmare Moon not ruling Equestria without the EOH to stop here, what actions spurred Chrysalis to succeed? The wedding I think still would have happened between Cadence and Shining Armor. I wiill even get more creative and state that Sunset Shimmer never left Celestia and Luna was reformed by Celestia and Sunset when Nightmare Moon returned. Twilight Sparkle never met Rainbow, Rarity, Pinkie, AJ or Fluttershy.. So Twilight became Sunset's student... Because Celestia wishes to test Sunset's abilities as Equestria's future role... Notice how I interchanged Twilight/Starlight.. with Sunset/Twilight. Chrysalis succeeds because the marriage went to fruition. Sunset eases Twilight's suspicions about Cadence's odd behavior. Cadence's whereabouts are unknown to everyone.. She might still be in the caves below Canterlot. After the wedding, Chrysalis orders her army to remain hidden. Chrysalis realizes she will need to absorb more love to handle both Celestia and Luna. She goes around feeding for weeks off Shining Armor and other ponies. Later Celestia and Luna are dethroned.. Canterlot has become a changeling territory. What cities fell after? Chrysalis after establishing her throne in Canterlot as Queen. Chrysalis banishes Celestia and Luna to the deepest dungeons of Canterlot, where Chrysalis's elite guards are present. Chrysalis feeds off them by hypnosis and changing her appearances to Celestia/Luna to deceive the two sisters into a state of false love. In the course of several months.. Fillydelphia, Manehattan, Baltimare(during a convention...hahahaha bad joke) fall easily.. Ponyville wasn't even an issue. Chrysalis in my mind would have taken Equestria in 7 months... The royal guard remnants tried their best for their fallen Celestia and Luna. Sunset and Twilight's whereabouts? Twilight Sparkle was inexperienced at this point in time. Chrysalis instead of disposing of Twilight, had seen amazing potential in the young unicorn and Chrysalis decided to brainwash Twilight into her pawn/apprentice. Sunset Shimmer, after nearly escaping with her life, failed to defeat Chrysalis. With Sunset's remaining energy, she decided that she had to let Equestria go, it was too late to save. She could at least save the human world(mirror). She decided to exile herself to the human world as a high school girl... She then would destroy the gateway back home.. To prevent Chrysalis from invading yet another defenseless world. Sunset lives her life full of regret.. She wishes she could have saved her mentors and her young student Twilight Sparkle.. Any other points we wish to discuss? I brought up a few.

If I wrote the movie... I would have 2 villains... I would pick Chrysalis, not just for her alone, but the changelings themselves being a massive threat.. Have the bigger villain pull the strings on Chrysalis and have Chrysalis try to fight back. Then the Mane 8(Sunse+Starlight) being the focus of the movie after Celestia passes.

I know it will sound stupid... But I always thought years ago, Chrysalis would have been a good candidate to kill off Celestia, if the two ever had a rematch. I watch the show for the positive messages. But I am fine with it being real at moments. I am just saying in our soft and politically correct culture, it will most likely not happen.

If the movie is like the 86 Transformers movie, Hasbro and DHX are taking a huge risk with kids.

Toy Story 2 is better than Toy Story 3, really underrated Oh yeah. I'm expecting a PG rating for the MLP movie now.

The sirens are my second favorite villain(s). I would actually love a head canon episode between Chrysalis and Adagio competing for food. I know the Sirens aren't going to be in EQG4, but if they were to return in some way, that would awesome.

If Celestia does die... Maybe the movie would be about Twilight maturing. That's if bronies think Twilight is capable of ruling Equestria.. If Celestia and Luna were dead. Who would control the sun and moon?

How could she die without it being to traumatic for younger girls and boys?

I don't hate her as much now, she has improved in S6 and Hearths Warming Tale is an amazing abridged version of xmas carol. I just prefer Sunset. I view Starlight as a retcon/derivative of Sunset.

If they do kill off Celestia and Luna( like Optimus and Ultra Magnus died) I can imagine soccer mom's and social media going off the wall. It isn't the 80s and 90s anymore... Everyone plays it safe. Could you imagine having Hasbro, using characters like Chrysalis and Tirek killing Celestia? I don't see it happening. I expect the movie to be dark, but no one is dying.

No, I don't think it will end. As long as it is making money, it will continue. What I care about is quality and as long as we have excellent writers who care about the show and not just the paycheck, then FiM will continue without being despised by bronies.

I'm not going to cop out and state the obvious answer people would expect from me. Everyone knows I have a strong bias for Chrysalis. It won't happen and I'm fine with her not being in the movie, as long as the movie is excellent. I really loathe the internet and how nothing is a surprise anymore. This is why I enjoyed movies back in the 90s and early 00s. I know email spoilers existed back then... But social media being the evil cancer that it is, will always ruin the surprise somehow. I thought Chrysalis and her changelings would have been a great force in the movie. Everyone has always wanted to see the Badlands or a changeling hive. I predict(even though I'm more often wrong, but will stick with my predictions) that Chrysalis will be the season 6 finale villain and that she WON'T appear in the movie. I am fine with a new villain, because the movie should have the uniqueness to sort of be its own thing, while respecting the show's source material.

My favorite mare will sadly not be in the movie. Neither will any older villains such as Chrysalis, Sombra, Adagio or Tirek. Everything will be new in the 2017 movie. Not against new things, but don't expect the older material to resurface. Hasbro and DHX have sonic the hedgehog syndrome... Meaning making new characters... Chinese sweatshop factory style.

I guess I can't fully explain why Chrysalis being reformed is a bad idea. She just oozes evil. Think about the only pure evil characters in the show. Chrysalis Tirek Adagio Sombra Even though the comics aren't canon A, I don't think Tirek is pure evil. Tirek for all we know could have some minuscule love and respect for his family. We don't know much about Adagio. Does Adagio some what care about Sonata and Aria?I mean Adagio abuses them in the show. Is it a leader thing? Or is Adagio truly self centered. I get the vibe Chrysalis only protects the changelings for the survival of her species. The only changeling I could see Chrysalis risking her life for, would be if she had a daughter, a future queen to ensure changeling survival.

I know people are well aware of the reformations being abused in the show and I would think the folks over at DHX are already aware of this and have concerns to not be repetitive. Just the name of the episode alone already gives me worries. I for one think this will be a changeling episode, I sadly think Chrysalis won't be in it. The worst thing they could have done, was rip off the Spongebob and Plankton friendship episode from many years ago. Say Fluttershy has to reform Chrysalis.. But I know they're not going to do that. I hope the episode just shows the message that not ALL changelings obey their Queen and commit horrible acts. I would HAAAATE..... If they reformed Chrysalis.
