  1. LOL, Ikr? That actually does sound like something Tia would say. All it takes is a bit of thought and some placing-in-her-horseshoes grippograp.
  2. Well of course Hasbro won't confirm an afterlife. If Celestia did pass on, she would say it in a different, more child-friendly way than I did. Something like "She would become one with the sun, to ensure magic would never be needed to raise it again". (Same for Luna and Cadance in their respective elements). Anyway, I hope it won't happen, but from the way it looks now, we may never see Celestia again.
  3. This is something I'm particularly intrigued and worried at. In most cartoons I've seen, the transfer of power from one individual to another often results in the death of the former, having sacrificed him/herself to allow the latter to defeat what is normally a villain of immense strength and power. My thinking is that whatever this villain from Tartarus is, it will be beyond Celestia's handling. Remember how Twilight is apparently the world's most powerful alicorn? Well, I'm also thinking that this villain will also be beyond her power, but not if the princesses were to give theirs to her........ This might just result in their deaths, or as Celestia would term it "The passing of ourselves to a greater existence in life". Obviously, I'm hoping to God above that they don't. Rather, I hope that once the transfer of power was completed, Celestia, Luna and Cadance would devolve into a physical form similar to that which Luna took after Nightmare Moon was exorcised from her. (Does this mean we'll get to find out if Celestia has a pink mane?!) Mortal, but still alive.
  4. Has anyone here seen 102 Minutes That Changed America?

    1. TwilightDreamer

      TwilightDreamer

      Sadly, I did not.

  5. My sister thought World War II ended in 1942! How's that for a bit of cluelessness? But in all fairness, she has been busy with college. Lucky she has me at least.

  6. Oh come on! I knew that. I just can't believe how quickly it flew. It felt like only a few weeks ago that Season 4 hit our screens. Hard to believe, isn't it?
  7. Pretty much. Also, I'm equally as pumped for this finale http://www.angelfire.com/wrestling3/djohnson/Rock-JustBringIt-DVD/rjbidvd03.jpg
  8. As I'm sure you all recall, the Season 2 finale saw the Changelings clash with the Mane 6 and Canterlot's defensive forces in a climactic battle which ultimately saw the former defeated, and the Royal Guard in disarray. With everything that we've heard about the S4 finale (spoilers listed below, do not open them if you do not wish to spoil the surprise!) I'd say that this sounds like the makings of a battle to match or even surpass the S2 finale! Personally, my feelings about this are mixed. On one side I'm very much looking forward to this. This could be a battle unlike anything we could ever have imagined. On the other hoof, however, I'm terrified this could end with another drastic change to Twilight physically. If the princesses are going to give all their powers to her, then surely her body wouldn't stay the way it was. I fear that a blinding white light would engulf Twi the moment she receives the princesses powers, and in that instant, she takes on a more powerful, regal form similar to that of Celestia, only twice as powerful/regal. Also, at the same time she would become the Mary Sue to end all Mary Sues, rendering her friends needless in the long term and setting herself as an even BIGGER sore thumb before our very eyes. I can't even begin to contemplate the shitstorm that would follow this. It would be the Twilicorn shitstorm tripled. Just think about it. Anyway, what do you guys think?
  9. NEXT WEEK?! God dayum.......this was a short season
  10. Truly a great hymn, up there with Watch and Pray
  11. The scabbing will heal!

  12. "Welcome to Rainbow Burger, home of the Rainbow Burger. May I take your order?" LOL, but seriously, I got nothing. The thread reminded me of Good Burger and I'd thought I'd drop by.
  13. I heard Let It Go last night and now I'm hearing it again this morning. It's beginning to scare me just how popular Frozen is.

  14. Well no, actually. I watched the Powerpuff Girls, Totally Spies and the original series of My Little Pony on tape (don't remember which generation though, it was the series with Grogar and Tambelon in it)
  15. Well, now that we know Season 5 has been confirmed, there's no possible end to the show in sight, so a question popped into my head "What should be the proper final season for FiM?" That is a question I will leave to you, the bronies, who wish as I do that MLP does not suffer the same fate as Spongebob or the Simpsons. What season of FiM, do you think, should be the last?
  16. Chapter 9-At Death's Door Rain cascaded down upon the jagged, black mountains of the Equestrian Badlands as a storm brewed, both above in the clouds, and on the ground below. Across the black, rocky surface, a large army of Royal Guards stomped along towards the Changeling Hive, their armor clanking as they moved. However, these were not ordinary Royal Guards. They were Celestia's one-time assault force; The Solar Knights. They came dressed in ornate black and golden armor, with the cutie mark of the princess emblazoned in gold on the front chestplate. The unicorns were taught new spells designed purely for combat, the pegasi were the elite of the elite when it came to airborne battle, and the Earth ponies were simply the best fighters in all of the Equestrian armed forces. They were fitter, faster and much more fierce than the regular Royal Guards. All in all, Shining Armor's drill sergeants had moulded them into the best of the best. Alas, Shining Armor was not there to lead them. In his place stood his adjutant and closest ally, Valiant Courage, a lieutenant in the Royal Guard. As for Shining Armor, he was accompanying the Mane 6 up a side road which ran along the main valley, through which the Knights marched. The girls ensured they remained invisible among the rocks, however that would be difficult, considering the bright colours of their respective coats. Among the six ponies, there were nerves rattling with fear. Even Pinkie was anxious about her situation, but at least she wasn't as bad as Fluttershy. She had never been to the Badlands in her lifetime, and already it was shaking her to her very core. "Twilight, I'm scared" whimpered the yellow pegasus, her body shaking like a leaf. "I know Fluttershy" replied Twilight. "Just try to relax. At least the Changelings don't know we're here". Despite acknowledging Twilight's words, Fluttershy could not relax. This was perhaps the most terrifying experience of her life, even more so than when the Ursa Major attacked Ponyville, with Trixie powerless to fend it off. After a few more moments of weaving through the rocky landscape, the Hive came into view. Truly it was a sight as fearsome as it was menacing. From the many cracks and holes in the mountain, eerie green light spewed forth, and thick black smoke rose into the sky. Truly this was a place no pony alive would look forward to entering. However, silence suddenly descended over the valley as the Knights stopped marching. Shining was the first to notice why. "Twily, hold up". "What is it?" Asked Twilight in response. Shining grit his teeth, his tail flicking with anticipation. "They're here" he growled, as his eyes fell on the gathered mass of black, fanged and armoured insects on the opposite end of the valley. Growling and sneering maliciously, the Changelings began stamping their hooves in time to the beat of a drum, lined with the skin of a griffon. One Changeling rasped a growl of fierceness as he prepared to do battle with the Solar Knights. The latter were also bracing themselves, when suddenly Valiant Courage took two steps forward, raised his hoof in the air and bellowed a cry of defiance, with his Knights following suit. As his army roared, cried and hollered behind him, Courage silenced himself and pointed his hoof at his opponents. "FOR EQUESTRIA! CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE!!!!!" In that instant, the entire mass of Solar Knights charged at the Changelings, roaring with fury. The latter followed suit, the frontal battery of Changeling unicorns firing a mix of concussive and love-draining spells at the ponies. Within seconds, the two armies clashed, and all manner of hell broke loose in the valley. Back up on the side road, Shining turned to face Twilight. "This is it Twiley. Either we get into the hive now, or I'll have lost my Cady forever". With a nod, Twilight then rallied the Mane 5 to her side. "What do you say girls?". "A'hm all in Sugarcube" Answered Applejack. "Me too!" Added Pinkie. "It would be my honour" Said Rarity. "Um, yeah....as long as nopony gets hurt" Said Fluttershy timidly. Happy with the response she got, Twilight turned to face her brother. "Lets go Shiny. It's time we end this together". With that, the group moved towards the hive. The first obstacle was a bridge leading to a side gate, guarded by a mix of Changelings. Twilight would be the first to get their attention. From the best range she could get, the purple unicorn fired a concussive spell which hit the bridge. The bait worked, as one of the two Changelings guarding the gate ordered his comrades to locate the source of that spell. Using the environment to camouflage themselves as best as they could, the Mane 6 and Shining waited to pounce on the Changelings, and after a moment's waiting, they pulled the trigger. "Now!" Barked Twilight, quickly pouncing on one of the two Changelings. "What the-" Was all the lead Changeling could say before Applejack landed a devastating blow with her hind legs. Unfortunately, the Changelings at the gate saw them. "Alert the commander, quickly! I will deal with them" Said the first Changeling, before running down to the ambush, leaving his comrade to run inside. Pinkie looked up to see the Changeling galloping towards her at full blast. In short time, she pulled out her party cannon and yelled "Surprise!" before blasting a load of streamers at the insect. "AAAGH! MY EYES!" Screamed the Changeling as his hooves became tangled up in the mess. Applejack did the honours by bucking the Changeling in the face, knocking him out cold. "Come on y'all. Cadance is waitin' fer us" Said Applejack, who led the group towards the gate. The battle was well and truly on at this point. The Mane 6 knew their mission, and were ready to see it done. However, there was one important issue in the back of Twilight's mind. How would Cadance react when she saw them? Would she be still angry, or would she be delighted to see them? The answer to Twilight was obvious, but still she was concerned. Still, they had a job to do, and so she had to focus. Get in, get Cadance, get out. Meanwhile, Canterlot was buzzing with activity as construction ponies worked to repair the damage done to the city during the attack. At the request of her sister, Princess Luna was busy tending to the townsponies, ensuring that nopony was hurt and that their homes and possessions were intact. If there was any damage that the ponies wanted fixed, Luna would have her accompanying Royal Guard take down their name and address on a list, before commissioning civil service ponies to look after them as soon as possible. For the moment, all seemed well, until a pair of Royal Guards carrying two APB notices with their magic, stepped in front of her. "Your Majesty, it is with deep regret that I show you these". The two Guards moved their signs in front of them, so Luna could read them. Taking a moment to study the signs, Luna looked back up in shock. "But....how can this be?! They made nice with Lady Sparkle! And it wasn't their fault that a Changeling pulled them like puppets on a string!" "Be that as it may, Princess, Captain Armour, Princess Celestia and the five Element Bearers must be brought to face justice. Lady Sparkle was the key to putting an end to this before it even began, and there can be no greater punishment for the crime of ignoring and blatantly abandoning her to whatever fate may have befallen her than watching everypony die by the Changeling's hooves. Fortunately for them, that didn't happen, so now they must face the royal court! Oh, and princess, any attempt to interfere with the proceedings will be met with severe consequences". With that, the two Guards walked off, leaving Luna utterly shellshocked. Not only did Celestia, Shining Armor and the Element Bearers face the wrath of Twilight and the Changelings in quick succession, but now they would face the wrath of the Canterlot court! And worse still, she was powerless to intervene. However, Luna smiled as she managed to retain faith in Twilight, whom she knew would be able to step in and defend their case. Knowing this, Luna returned to work with a spring in her step.
  17. Ok, suddenly I'm mad for Coco Pommel. Confound these ponies and their various designs!

  18. Oh, right. My bad. I was explaining that in the game, Robert cleared it with Rosalind that Booker didn't row the boat in any of the universes they experimented on, hence why Robert emphasises the "doesn't" to Rosalind. Booker can row if he were asked, but he didn't because the twins did it for him. Anyways, my bad.
  19. I'm not upset about anything. I'm just pointing out that you got the syntax wrong or something. You got the quote right, no doubt, but it's how you worded the quote is what I'm touchy about. Unless you already knew that, and didn't think about emphasizing it.
  20. The fandom freaked out over Twilicorn because many believed that making Twilight an alicorn/princess would result in drastic changes to both herself and the show as a whole. Many feared (myself included) that Twilight's physical appearance would change, that her daily life would become overrun with royal duties, that she'd have to live in Canterlot with the other princesses and nobility (away from her friends), that she'd become aloof from her friends in all her royal grace, and that already she had been set apart from the Mane 5 in terms of equality. As for the alicorn part, her becoming an alicorn shattered hundreds upon hundreds of headcanon, including mine. People became anxious and angry because this sudden change had not only broken many of their homemade boundaries, but it had jumped the shark at the same time. We (referencing the aggrieved half of the fandom) believed that Twilight had become a princess way too soon. It would've been better if, like many TV shows, that she didn't become an alicorn princess until the penultimate end of the show. We feared that becoming a princess early might result in Twilight replacing Celestia sooner than originally thought. To be honest, I agree with JayStorm. That half of the fandom will get angry again, and thus they will argue that giving Twilight a kingdom/palace will result in her getting pretty much locked up in there forever, stuck with papers, royal banquets and the like, unable to go out with her friends on adventures ever again. Personally, I don't think so. Hasbro will find a way around it. I have faith. As for the inevitable shitstorm that will follow, we won't need a nuclear bunker. We'll need over 9000 nuclear bunkers meshed together to survive this.
  21. *buzzer goes off* Wrong dude! Robert actually tells Rosalind "They DON'T row" implying that the bronies never rowed the boat at all. They would if they were asked, but they didn't. It's OK, I didn't get it the first time either. It is a bit hard to understand.
  22. And thus in the year 2014, in the vast ocean known as Babscon, the RMS Sparity was sunk after being hit by a torpedo fired from the submarine M39H4N MCC4RTHY. There were no survivors. (Not mocking the RMS Lusitania by the way. I coined this after being reminded of the incident) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ But seriously, while I secretly hoped this would happen, there's a little thing called reality. Sparity was never going to happen, I knew it. Age gap was far too wide to begin with, and then there was the demographic. Tough luck, shippers. Return to your vivid, colourful and perverted imaginations while you can. This ship is lost.
  23. Well, there has been plenty of fanart of the twins, and it's possible that during a lunch break, one of the animators may have come across that fanart, so they thought "Why the buck not?" But that's just me. It's anypony's guess as to how they're there.
  24. Holy crap! Pardon my French, but what a cameo! The Lutece twins in MLP. They weren't kidding when they said they could exist across time and space. Hats off to you, Hasbro, for this neat little reference. i wonder what they'll do next?
