Did I put it in the wrong forum? Sorry! Like I said I'm kinda new, I just wanted to see if there was major stuff I missed between the end of season 2 and now. Should I just close the thread?

Well I was never into the fandom of either so I have no idea. I mean I played the older Sonic the Hedgehog games and then I saw furry porn by Sonic fans (which made Sonic as a whole become associated with furries in my mind) and then I liked Pokemon as a kid and still do but I'm not in the fandom of either so I dunno.

Well what's one new thing that I might not know if the last thing I knew was eurobeat brony/wooden toaster/living tombstone and was trying to bridge the gap? Doesnt have to be music.

So pack it in and call it quits? Let's troll the new guy and tell him to get out. That's not the point of my thread, I just want to know what's new.

Alright, so I've noticed that things have been different as of late. I've been a regular ol' brony since the inception of the thing, followed along with the ponygoons, you guys, some of the chan-related stuff, youtube, EQD, etc, etc, but I drifted after season 2. Mostly life related reasons, but I wasn't on the internet much nor had much free time. Before and during the interim I was a big follower of the art and music and a few fics (never been into the shipping or clopping, but I don't judge those who are) and tried to stay current on all the happenings and the veritable creative explosion- mushroom cloud- supernova- gamma ray burster of content. But after a bit, said life problems cut me off from the ultra rapid hyper schizoid evolution of current internet events. After season 3 I watched it all in the span of 2 days and got back into the fandom to find people a bit different from when I left. I don't know any (social) bronies in real life so I didn't have personal updates. I figuratively dove back in to what I thought was the deep end of the pool and I hit my head. What the hay have I missed? I know a few people flipped horse apples over the season 3 finale, I've watched Snowdrop, thought it was brilliant, exhausted all the musical links I could find, couldn't find any new art that wasn't borderline porn or just mspaint. So what's new?? EQD seems to be posting mostly boring things that don't capture my interest. Goons are now vehemently anti-brony. What is actually happening? I feel like I've lost the connection to the community!

I like her because we all have that one friend who you have to elbow in the ribs from time to time. Rainbow Dash is "that guy," figuratively speaking. Also she is a great straight-man to Pinkie's shenanigans. Here is a character that can break the sound barrier who gets chased to exhaustion by one who eats cake all day and parties all night.

I don't get what everyone finds so confusing about Magical Mystery Cure. Twilight has "graduated" from her current level of studies and is now going to take a different path. Most episodes are slice of life style so the major plot driving ones can seem out of place sometimes. Usually these types of episodes are two-parters and this one needed to be. The pacing was off, but enough is there as needs to be to make minimum sense. Remember: MLP doesn't make total sense in the first place when you think about it that hard. Put away the microscope and enjoy the ponies. Your comparison is not very good and you're trying to have it both ways. You're alluding that the bronies who threw a hissy fit over Princess Twilight are NOT whining fanboys, but the gamers who spent hundreds of dollars and invested hundreds of hours of time, who were promised something (THAT THEY PAID FOR) that they did not get, are just whiners. Also, the ending was not changed, it was extended and still has massive plot problems and is a giant let down. Just because the industry controlled gaming media rushed to Bioware's defense, doesn't make it true that the fans are jerks. And gaming is an art form, nobody is trying to stop that, nobody can, because it already has been one. Artistic license and bad writing are two hugely different things. See the Star Wars prequels for an example. And, do you really think that the FiM team is going to go with a story arc that ruins the lives of Twilight and her friends? All we know is that Twilight has gone to the next level, things are going to change and tune in this winter to see how. My Little Shinigami: Shounen is Magic would be AWESOME! But like I said before, nobody will be left behind, nobody will be left to die, that's not what the show is about and there is no way the actual writing team will do this. Also, what's wrong with a mild Mary Sue? Most characters in most stories are to a certain extent, which is why I hate how the term has expanded to basically include all fictional characters and is thrown around constantly. Twilight isn't soloing Cell or anything, just because she's an alicorn now. Celestia, the deus ex equus (god in the horse ) couldn't even defeat, well, basically anyone on her own. Even in flashbacks she only defeated old enemies with her sister and the elements of harmony. If even Celestia needs help to do stuff, then Twilight, who is nowhere near as powerful, needs all of her friends. So, I wouldn't worry about any of your concerns coming true. Hopefully this didn't come across as hostile, not intended to be. Don't worry so much about season 4 it'll be great!

It would be infinitely more interesting to have pony transformers instead of just robots dating horses, that seems strange. Also, three letter words aren't that hard to type.
