  1. In my completely ignorant and stupid opinion, those kinds of bronies aren't bronies. They call themselves bronies, but if they project negativity, they don't uphold the values that we have given ourselves. Being a brony is about more than the show (although that's a big part) it's about upholding to the values said show represents. To some extent, it's also about gender roles for some people. That's fine with me. The big thing is the people who take this too far. This is something i'd like to lay down, and have been meaning to for a while. We aren't a revolution. So you like a show for six year old girls openly, don't be an arse about it We aren't a cult. Being obsessive about it makes you seem like a weirdo. Not every possible reference is actually a reference. We aren't some kind of underground society. We're just a group of people with similar interests, which just so happen to involve a show for six year-olds of the opposite sex. We don't need to express our love for the show absolutely everywhere. Doing that is obnoxious, and is part of the reason we've been antagonized so much. Express your love for MLP here and places like here, not on something completely fucking irrelevant. Now, i'm not including profile pictures. Those are fine with me. I guess the main point that i'm trying to make is The fact that we express our interests so openly makes people dislike us because it's pretty obnoxious. I like the show, that's fine. I know some of you might not agree with the above, but Bronies in general are a really controversial idea. Spamming the fact that you like a kid's show makes you seem weird, not cool. Well, apparently MLP makes my Ranty side go on the fritz. I'm ususally not this serious about anything whatsoever. Whatever, I guess it's just the mojo. BY NO MEANS DOES THE ABOVE MEAN I DON'T LIKE THE BRONY COMMUNITY. I AM STILL AN ACTIVE MEMBER AND LOVE YOU GUYS TO PEICES. There. Rant over. On your way. EDIT: I just remembered a good analogy for any fandom in the public opinion. "A fart is louder than a chorus of angels." It means that no matter how many "Angels" are in a group, if someone's being really fucking obnoxious, people are only going to pay attention to them. Sorry for the cursing, but it's kind of necessary to get my point across.
  2. A lot of really big changes happened in Season 3 (Discord becomes good, the obvious, Scoots and RD are sisters[ish] now, Babs Seed joins the CMC), and all of them are handled well. Season three may not be as good as season two, but by no means is it bad. It seems like it's a setup season for some real heavy stuff to drop in season four in ELEVEN FREAKING MONTHS.

    Hello all!

Thanks! I'll be sure to contact you if I need any support. Nice to see some new people. So many forum sites just grow stagnant with only veteran posters active on it. I'll hit him up. Thanks for being so smashing, you fine gentleman, you. It's weird that you called me an extrovert. That's only internet me. Real me is actually pretty shy.
  4. That would be nice. At the moment i'm still struggling with the monumental learning curve, and all the things I make seem really empty and raw.
  5. I think that people have kind of missed the potential behind Twilicorn as a whole. Think for a second. In the beginning, the target audience would have been, let's say, six. They would have been still at home with parents or nannys. Now, around 3-4 years later, the target audience is about 9 or 10. This would be about the time where they would be ready to take on more responsibility. Now, those of you who are perceptive may see where i'm going here. I don't think this decision was because Hasbro wanted to or the writers were out of ideas. I think the decision to make Twilicorn was an opportunistic decision to open up the show to newer morals, more applicable to both the target audience and the Brony community as a whole. At this point, we would be in the higher levels of schooling if not employed, and we'd be able to learn a lot from Twilicorn having some problems at her now stress-filled life as a princess. All i'm saying is that you should be receptive, and stop deterring Hasbro and the writers to make big changes like this. THIS BIG OF A DECISION would have taken many months to plan out and they had to be careful about how they handled it. Other than the exact reason (which seems a bit cop-out), they did a good job. Why are we all being so negative about it? Keep in mind that the vast majority of other kid's shows wouldn't even think of changing a character this much all at once.
  6. A fanfiction written by my friend. I've been helping him profusely with it and now i'm posting it here against his will so thousands can read it because i'm such a great friend. This is our first collective work of fiction anywhere, so it's a bit rough around the edges. The good news is it doesn't take four hours to establish the characters. A couple things to get out of the way: YES, IT IS A HUMAN IN EQUESTRIA FIC BECAUSE REASONS This fic is incredibly random, has no real direction, and is bacially a boredom idea dump There is no moral, theme, or overarching plot (yet) None of the above make it bad, just directionless and weird So, now that you've been warned, here's the link. Go spam it with views so I can troll the face off of his face, or some less stupid analogy. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/78139/of-ponies-and-muffins
  7. I'm watching you, thread. I will stalk you until I learn this software inside and out. I WILL LEARN YOUR SECRETS, ABLETON LIVE! YOUR 500 PAGE MANUAL WILL NOT INTIMIDATE ME! Ahem... Sorry. Got a bit war-charge-speech-talk-thing-ish there. I'm new to Ableton, too. I want to get my money's worth so i'll post to here if I can after I learn things. From what I know so far, the biggest tip I can give is mess with knobs. The pre-baked sounds actually have a large range of sounds if you mess with the knobs. Take some time and really dial it in so that you get what you need out of it.
  8. Oh... Wow... I don't even know what to say... It's just amazing. I don't know how it is, but your voice is perfect to go with the wispy tone of the song. The song eminates beautiful freedom, and it's just plain good.
  9. Fillies and Gentlecolts, this is the one thing I didn't like about Season 3. First off, Season Three as a whole was amazing. The show's starting to get some deeper meaning, and some of the conflicts were downright dark at times (Look me in the eye and tell me King Sombra wouldn't scare the heck out of you if he were real and you were six). The controversial Twilicorn transformation was handled much better than I thought, and I can't wait until winter so I can be jealous of all of the people who get to watch it live while I wait for Netflix or Youtube. But seriously, there's one thing that annoys me about Twilicorn. Am I the only one here who's bugged by Twi's royal gown? I'm completely fine with the transformation, even though the reason tips the BS meter a bit (That's a tangent for later). The colours don't go with her at all. The dress from the Grand Galloping Gala in SEASON FREAKING ONE would have been a better choice. The dress just doesn't look good on her. The proportions seem a bit off to me, and the golden trim is such a weird contrast from the rest of it. The dress doesn't blend with the pony at all, and the overall design seems a bit under-thought Sweet Celestia, i'm ranting about a show for people half my age of the opposite sex. No regrets. Anyway, I can't be the only one who thinks this. Maybe i'm just insane, but it bugs the hay out of me. The fanart gets the dress down, but the official thing manages to be a weird colour combination that clashes with the established color scheme, throwing warmer colours onto a cooler background, making both seem weird. Again, I'm ranting on a show for six year olds of the opposite sex. Again, i'm not sorry. I gave all my bucks away to better causes, like this two paragraph rant. P.S. Apparently "Riding A Black Unicorn" goes really well with ranting about My Little Pony... (This forum doesn't have Helvetica )

    Hello all!

I'm terrible with introductions, so I'm going with the most obtuse, nerdy and weird way to introduce myself I can think of. Behold! THE BULLET POINTS! It'd probably be adventageous to say that I think I might be insane. Not Pinkemina insane, just unstable The conductor of my train of thought is poorly trained, and I go on tangents a lot For those of you versed in Jung personality types, i'm an INTP I try to be funny when I can, and love to have a good time Coming up with ideas for things to add on this list at two in the morning is fun I'm currently in full tangent mode I should probably stop now, but i'm not going to I'm a huge fan of gaming. You can find me pretty much anywhere under the same name as I have here; Malao567. Xbox Live, Minecraft, Steam, etc. I feel like introduction posts are too short, so I hope you all had a fun time listening to my stream of consciousness I constantly overthink small things, and the more complex something is the more I want to learn about it I'm a bit random sometimes Some people don't like that I'm not even paying attention to the fact that this is a bulleted list anymore Well, that escalated quickly. I too, like to live dangerously. Winky face. I don't need swag when i've got pogs. I'm too raw for swag.
