For me, there shouldn't be a rush on it. They haven't seen what they themselves are. If a cutiemark defines who you are and what you want to do in your life that shows what you interpret is your purpose, why must there be a time limit? Remember, they haven't tried everything they could yet to discover who _they_ are. By giving them a mark this early, its out of character. They are trying to give them talents, but they aren't who you are. This was played well in fanfiction named Easel Said then Done where Scootaloo wins a competition in art based on her realistic (or almost realistic) drawing of RD and she hates it. It wasn't until later that she learned that she herself could define it to mean what she truly is. Sometimes its not the talent you know, it could be the talent you never knew you had. Likewise, the same could be said about the other Crusaders. Talents are talents, but they aren't totally what a cutie mark is. So why should I want them to discover their marks now? Though...I'm suspecting that Scootaloo will gain hers in the spoiled episode. (I imagine something with machine building. Like, a metalic wing with a scooter representing her love the build and achieve greater things that bodily limitations won't allow.)

I'm not sure if the rest of the mane 5 would do much. I was curious about the idea of having something that was stronger then the elements come to play. I taggled with the idea myself using 3 ponies of the three races. Maybe it would look a little better if it wasn't always the mane 6 doing all the work? I'm not sure. ^^" HA! I like the way this dude thinks. One episode is all it takes for this.

That's just it:Discord (the term) is neutral. He can't be reformed, its an oxymoron. However, he's not necessarily evil. That's the problem.

Nightmarity wasn't made by Hasboro, however, the other comics are from some place LICENSED by Hasboro. They have no cannon purposes though. Inore the fact it wasn't made by hasboro. It was licensed, but still not directly made from them. They still aren't canon. I wish they were, they make Scoots seem much smarter then the show...

The comics are made by various people. Sometimes you might even see sections on DeviantART for that reason. They hold no true merit towards the show. If they had, then everything we past saw in the show would have been spoiled. (The moment when Scootaloo in the comics with Chrysalis always correcting the other two would not have probably happened in the show, seeing that she constantly had. The characters sort of took a darker turn or reverted. In those particular comics, its been labeled as not from Hasboro. I wish it was.)

Well, they were fanmade themselves, I can't use that as evidence ^^", Well, to give credit, Discord's still the only one with enough strength to turn it around. Luna's a planner, which gives her the upper hoof. However, Discord's very powerful as well, he just doesn't use it like Luna wants too. He's discord, he's neutral. He has vast power, but he doesn't need it. He likes to mind fuck people and play games. Because of the utopia these ponies built, he can't stay there. Its not like he harmed any pony in reality. He didn't enslave them, didn't shroud the world in darkness, or take it over. He could have done all of that. He just chose not to. He thinks that was a huge game. He didn't want to, however, 'cheat' by touching Fluttershy, he was rather unhappy about it.

See, its not hard to manipulate Twilight to do what you wish. With a few strings, she can easily make Twilight the Enforcer of Darkness. Discord easily did this. He just said simple little nothings in their ear and watches as they destroy eachother. She can do this by trickery, tricking her into thinking her friends despise her or something similar suit while, in actuality, they are somewhere else.

Of course, but she can't do that alone. See where I'm going? Luna might lead Twilight in a different direction and make her do something she regrets later from force or Twilight must do this alone. That's something she never did before.Ever. She had everyone by herside. Luna knows this. Get rid of the allies and get to the head!

Or perhaps, make them all view what that pony had done to public shame them to brainwash? Luna was shamed like that, shown directly on the moon. Maybe she would do something similar suit.

I think she wants to gain the throne to have something that Celestia had:The ponies under her iron hoof. I'm guessing it would be the same as she wanted it before with a slight chance of what Sombra had done. She wouldn't fall with Sombra with everything, but slavery? Might happen. She wants the ponies to be in her night. Shroud it in almost eternal night. She can't shroud it always, however. I would assume she would make it almost like how Alaska is set by:Mostly night and very short days. I imagine it more like how Communists rule and force the LIKE on them!

Chrysalis was a distraction, Luna's other form being used as a side track to get the ponies from paying attention to her. Changelings are what the government would be concerned with. If she uses this and continually "updates" these events to make it appear that they are still a threat, then it would make perfect sense! Plus, if this all backfires, she could resort back to her at any given time.

Or perhaps Twilight led herself there after an 'accident' between Celestia and Luna?? The spell might have activated it, seeing that the book was Starswirl, but I'm not sure. Maybe it interfered with the stars? The stars will guide her escape... THAT'S IT! Luna might have brought her a spell later on that might have activated, bringing forth the stars, trapping Celestia or breaking the grasp they held on Luna? They mentioned something about stars over the course of the series. You said light, earlier? Twilight's cutiemark resembles light and stars. Maybe she was meant to stop Luna and be head of the nation?

It would signify that it wasn't a flashback like many would suggest it to be, but rather, a coming to pass type thing. Last time her mark flashed like that was in MMC, and then, she had her wings. Twilight states something about where did they go or something when she appears in it. Its weird that she states that. Maybe it has that connection? Maybe that was her true test all along that Celestia never planned?

Precious light could refer to Twilight being recognized in general. Her "light" is the glory she's taking. ("limelight?" ) If this is the right track of thinking, she's referring to Twilight's acceptance as the Ponies' Princess. Now, lets think about that. If this is true, there' not reason to explain why Luna's other form is back at all. Celestia was planning to continue on, but give her duties to Twilight, like Lauren Faust had originally planned it as. Now, lets get this straight: If Celestia were to do this, Twilight would have the throne, not Luna who was also the princess. Its not too far off to suggest that Luna's trying to stop that so she can have the throne thinking Twilight's another Celestia.

In the first episode of Season 3, she looked at Twilight really hard.(After Celestia explained everything. ) It looked awfully weird for a Princess to be staring down at her like such. (Though, when she earned the wings, it wouldn't look proper if she did) I had thought of the video in two different ways: 1: Luna was doing this in the flashback ("Precious Light") 2. Maybe Luna did know this was happening, but never expected NNM again? She seemed really strange. I think that scene was a flashback sadly. Unless you don't count Cadence, then it MUST be a flashback. "There could only be ONE princess" Unless she took out BOTH Celestia and Cadence, then it wouldn't make sense. Though, it would also mean, she probably did seeing this was probably for later. Or maybe by Precious Light, it really means dethroning Celestia? Or perhaps, by Precious Light, it would mean something a lot more then Sun light? Like Recognition? Or power? She's the ponies' princess. She has everything Luna doesn't. Seems legit that it might refer to something more then "sun".

Maybe I'm trying to add fuel to the fire: What if Cadence was in on this too? Twilight broke the walls down and easily freed her. Cadence was in the castle for years, as demonstrated by Twilight herself. How wouldn't she know about the caves, something she would excel at? (She _is_ the crystal Princess. She knows all about these Crystal structures and sort.) Maybe they were in on it, to be Princesses of Equestria, both taking credit and love they earned. Where was Luna at the wedding in general? This is a Princess wedding, everypony was there. Why wasn't a princess, none-the-less one towards her own "niece", be accounted for? There wasn't a reason for her to /be/ sleeping. She wasn't for the other times, why now? Well, it makes sense if she was evil. *She wasn't well liked at her own holiday, she was feared. Perhaps she was upset over this disloyalty? *She wasn't shown anywhere else before Luna Eclipsed OR the end of the Season 2. *She was barely shown anywhere else either. Even in Season 3, she was mostly gone, only having a minor part in a few things like Sleepless in Ponyville and Equestria Girls. Minus Sleepless in Ponyville, she never spoke. *When she did appear, she seemed mad at Twilight, distrustful even. <---- Key aspect. Maybe she was jealous of Celestia AND Twilight? If Luna truly wasn't Chyrsalis, she never would have needed to head to Canterlot because even if she wasn't Luna, what would she accomplish alone? She never thought she was stronger then Celestia! Plus, why would she expose herself already if she wanted to siege Canterlot? Luna wouldn't need to take over Canterlot to begin with. She made it so that they knew of the Changelings earlier (under a different threat) and then, with controlling the fiance, she could easily render the shield useless, but she didn't want to so she could show off the Children and see what Celestia would have done. When the shield breaks and hell rules lose, she didn't need to continue much after that. She needed to see what she was contending with. "Losing" was her actual plan. Knowing that Cadence was on her side AND knowingly figured out what she contended with from Celestia, all she would have to do is figure out her strategy against Twilight. That's where this comes in: The book Luna carries. Luna tricked Celestia into making the book her challenge to really test Twilight's abilities. It worked like it was planned. It all points down to Luna. It makes much more sense. Chrysalis needs to feed her army, but Canterlot doesn't seem all that accepting. You wouldn't find much there then Ponyville, a place where you could live simply of residue of love!

Well, you can be so swayed by 'blind' emotions you easily get manipulated into doing something a level headed person wouldn't do if they thought first. Her anger, jealousy, and sorrow that derived from lack of appreciation didn't foresee what would happen if she really did win. Her emotions manipulating something that if you thought first, would be really dumb. She might have bad intentions and that's the problem. She wouldn't see the huge picture as to why she did that, or maybe she wouldn't understand why the ponies feel the way they did.

No, I don't mean it with these examples. I mean actual scribbles, like a five year old drew them. And I get annoyed when they do that and claim its a style when they could, you know, try to improve. Like, the girl I'm tutoring. She's drawing really really really uh... something you could draw at age five and work on it to make it look, you know, like you tried to put some more effort in it. I don't mind minor things like that. I do that all the time. I just don't like it when people use that as an excuse to do shit. I meant that your drawing shouldn't always be considered a style. If they worked very hard on those styles for years, they earned it. If you draw scribbles and call it a style, its not really a style. You can only work on a style if you know everything about what your doing already, right? They learned how to and worked on it to create a style. I dislike it when a new drawer, one that wants to be a cartoonist at that, claims a style, but lacks the knowledge of common things someone should know to improve it. (Like, she won't move the body. She doesn't know proportions even with her 'style'.) As long as its not massively different, I don't care. I prefer some form of it though.

Well, Applejack does state that Equestria isn't the whole planet in a way through the song. "We'll sing our song across the pony nation...From Equestria and Beyond!" Plus, that would explain everything about the bit about Saddle Arabia. I thought it was always a nation, not exactly a planet. The map look too small to really be a planet. Or, at least, too small to hold everything they have presented.

I'm more concerned that she managed to trick everypony into think Chrysalis was this nasty queen to get their minds off of NNM. I think that would ease a little tension. Even then, she still held horrible anger and animosity towards Celestia. It seems placed because in some of the episodes, you never see Luna, only in Luna Eclipsed she makes an appearance despite being a princess and should go to whatever thing she needs to for her duties. It seems Celestia still hasn't learned that Luna wants to be a Princess along side her, not pushed farther back by these incoming princesses. Cadence was more recognized, and she wasn't a tale! Who else would coordinate a siege on a kingdom with that much anger towards the subjects, many still quivering in fear OF her. Who else can pull off a double shapeshift as good as her and trick them as well as her? No pony heard of Chrysalis until she was everything. Also, not everypony would be as surprised to beat her as well. It would give purpose to 'Chrysalis' and her being there. The reason she was there was for love, but they never directly stated why they did it there in the first place. Why a top city with a princess and not Ponyville itself? Plus, if these followers were shapeshifters, the love sucking would make sense. If love was a physical substance as much as magic, then, what better thing would be for somepony without and seeking love? Instead of going to that choice, I would suggest manipulation. She seems quite good at that. Maybe that portion was a flashback to remind Twilight she's not going through anything new, and to show Celestia's side. (Though, that's all we ever see.) Maybe Luna will convince Twilight that she is the same way as herself so that she can be still the princess.
