Apparently I was bored and roamed EQD. I don't /normally/ do so, mainly because they annoy the buck out of me. Reading on the site typically annoys me because of the comments. (Sorry :'( ) Anyways, stumbling on it, the vice president of Hasboro actually states something a little..odd...that sounds like it belonged with the snip bit of the episode that was shown. (He's talking about the discussions right now) "We have had very long meetings where we argue about things like what exactly might happen if a pony were to make fun of a Pegasus that can't fly. That may seem silly, but part of what makes the show so popular is the simplicity of the message." That does honestly say the whole snip bit in a nutshell. I wonder what they were thinking behind it? Maybe they were toggling with the idea of a character that won't fly in a way that won't make the parents as mad. (I.e:Derpy incident) Though, I do hope they make DT and SS a little smarter. One Bad Apple made me wonder how dumb they were. (They walked over to Sweet Apple Acres, which was a least confirmed to be farther away from Ponyville, just to make fun of them. Real classy. That's a big waste of time girls) ((Sorry, I was doing something and kept saying "Episode", it was the animations that were shown. ^^" Welp, that's what I get for doing History and internet at the same time))

Honestly: I thought that if it was paired up with Cupcakes as the prequel and Pegasus Device the sequel to Rainbow Factory, then I would have enjoyed the story lines a bit more. I mean, with Cupcakes, you would see she's killing RD, but you would know why when you read the next two stories. It made more sense to combine the 3. In Cupcakes, there wasn't really a background to why she's killing RD, and what the system was about. If this was all together, it would make perfect sense. Pinkie's a mysterious pony, who knows how she earns her bits other then the Cakes. She throws so many parties, you have to wonder how she earns enough to do everything. Then, that would make more sense too because it would show us insight to the system and to why the ponies never realize nothing's right. If she worked for, lets say, Celestia, maybe she could remove whatever there was in trouble, like a police. What more fitting? That would mean she would find out about the Rainbow Factory after the events in Pegasus Device, but then she would kill the pony that continued it. (More or less, RD. ) I loved Rainbow Factory, but it fell flat for me until I read Pegasus Device. That made the whole story feel better.

Thanks for that, I would try to make pony videos, but, I have a speech impediment and it makes it hard to speak face to face, even worse to a video recorder or my computer. I did try. I might try making entries about stuff like this though! ^^

Actually, the whole time in season 3 they did build it up. In fact, it wasn't entirely "glossed over", seeing that it was expanded on in earlier episodes, just behind the scenes. If I know correctly, Luna and Celestia had the book earlier and did discuss a little of it before season 3 ended. I didn't think it was really rushed as you all would put it. I think that the content should be expanded, but rushed? Not really. They told everything they needed to tell in a way that wasn't rushed to me. I mean: You get why everyone's sad and you can see how the town fares. You can view the roles each pony has. You can even just see how guilt Twilight was. The ending was the only thing that would have needed to really be extended and the whole spell needed it as well, but THAT would probably be explained later. That would have required lots of exposition, something they never really had time for. That type of thing only worked for the season finale for Season 2 (first part) because she was already trying to get the other ponies to reason and we walked through it closely. If we broke it up there, as this episode stands, here it would be: Twilight wakes and starts to see the 'normal' ponyville life until Rarity comes in with a different mark. Twilight gets the spell book, explains the spell and leaves to bed but the elements switched. She observes each pony doing the job they shouldn't. Twilight gets utterly sad and her friends are in despair. Following this, it wouldn't be a very great episode at just THAT. You still need something that would drive her to feel that way in a way that gets the person hooked for the second part. Then you would be forced to drag out the entire situation when it wasn't needed and get the ending. When she figures out the spell the resolution comes. That's the problem. Then you'd need to add things that would be dubbed as Filler and you miss the point entirely.

I would agree if only they wouldn't allow them to have "those" marks, if you catch my drift. If they are dragged, at least get them to have marks you'd never imagine them to have originally from Show Stoppers please. That would make it seem too uh, predictable in my view. Scoots having her scooter? Apple Bloom carpenter? Sweetie as a singer? Its very predictable. I almost want it to be something they wouldn't realize. Like, Apple Bloom is a great designer period, not just wood work. I think if she really tried, she'd be something similar to Rarity maybe. Something that requires order, she's a leader after all. Anything but fixing please. Scoots shouldn't have a scooter mark simply because of her name. There wouldn't have been the need to drag it...! I wouldn't mind if its something with machine work, dancing, etc, just something not Scooting. Sweetie Belle could write pretty well, she's quite smart. I mind whether or not they are going to use the Show Stoppers version of their marks. If that was the case, maybe it would have been better not to have had it in Season 1..

I actually kind of enjoyed the the Italian version of the theme animation better then the actual American. Their song sounded very catchy for some reason. Maybe because its very anime-like, and it was almost like a flashback in an introduction. I wish they did something like that here....
