Do you care about the accuracy of anatomy?
Scootadress replied to Throwaway19573639385's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Well, for me...I get annoyed at anatomy if its not done in a stylized way or on purpose. No, your art is not anatomically correct, drawing like a five year old is NOT a style. I hear that all the time from my friend. She draws really bad, and I've been helping her. She claims her way is "her cartoon" but, scribbles does not constitute style. I prefer anatomy but if its in good taste, I'll ignore it. I can't stand it when crappy drawing equates to style. -
Nightmare Moon and Season 4 [Spoilers]
Scootadress replied to Wardaddy's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
Well, she could easily teleport back. Its not very hard considering she can shape shift and use powerful magic in a split moment. She did that in the first episode. How can a pony teleport fast enough to the celebration and take Celestia? Unless Celestia trolled the hell out of her subjects, she was taken by NNM. If so, how can she do that as fast? Quite fast at that. Plus, one pony must know about the area downstairs. Though, I have to admit, that was pretty flimsy. Is Cadence dumb or something? It took all of 1 minute for Twilight to find Cadence in rage. Wouldn't Luna be awake if this was a wedding, or was she not invited? Just remember: NNM will never die. Its the physical form of extreme jealousy, anger, and sadness. Luna wouldn't just CHANGE from the elements. Hell, the elements don't seem permanent. They couldn't hold Luna in 1,000 years.- 164 replies

Well, personally, I read just about anything and everything as long as its not erotic or romantic (romantic sectioned, not that I haven't found books that are romantic mostly) I would recommend: Tell No One by Harlen Coben I like the James Patterson's books. Mostly all of them. I'm a big reader on him since they are fast to read. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead Mortal Instruments+Clockwork: Cassandra Clare. I read mostly everything. I read medical, historical, anything that piques the interest.

The sad part is I've been there at least 3 years. When the crazes took over, you saw LOTS of views per day. Then I switched the way I drew and lost over half of them as well. I'm definitely trying to fave and do all that, its just really hard to get the views.

How are you going to watch Season 4?
Scootadress replied to ~Scootaloo's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I has hub, but because I (generally) don't get up early enough, I can't see them. Its different though since its coming out Thanksgiving weekend I guess? Anyways, to answer: I watch it on cable given the chance (like when I do get up to watch it or its on demand) youtube when mobile (when not able to on cable) and on Netflix. What I'll be doing? Depends. I might watch it when its directly released or eat popcorn, have a drink, and watch it on computer. -
I'm starting to get afraid, my work isn't noticed. ((Though, mine admittedly, are shit anyways) I tried and tried to draw better, and I am getting better, but I'm afraid when I do post, I get the shaft anyways. I work really hard for my traditional drawings, but get 10 views total mostly for each. Then I look at people who are "famous", I see over priced chibis! How come anime that is drawn that isn't very grand gets more views? Basers are more liked too, which is sad. My friend lost over half of her friend's list when she started drawing her characters out, not using bases. Its upsetting because they are really amazing. I really want to post manga and crossovers I am making up, but the likely hood of it being viewed by a person are slim. Its hard to improve on something when no one, ya know, comments, right?

Well, Nightmare Moon! Mainly speaking, its more "realistic" than the others. She was something more that shocked everypony probably. The Moon's supposed to protect, show us light and guide us. The whole premise of eternal night, a nightmare from the moon itself, and that even the protectors can fall really sends a shock wave. Plus, we all have that feeling she gets, but hers became something more. They wouldn't "picture" Sombra to take hold or perhaps a person like Discord, but a pony who's supposed to rule and save you in your time of need, to protect you in the night, and view your dreams, and they turn dark, that's a whole other story.

general media Favorite Creepypastas?
Scootadress replied to Derpy Whooves's topic in Media Discussion
Its something barely able to be seen anymore, its a rarity to see something with a meaning behind it. Though, still perfer historical ones that really are close to reality. -

it touched me more then scared. I wish creepypastas were more like this.Maybe it would invoke more then it normally would out of something scary. -
general media Favorite Creepypastas?
Scootadress replied to Derpy Whooves's topic in Media Discussion
Some of the most scary of creepypastas are ones with no gore. Its probably more frightening to see Cupcakes as Rainbow's punishment but more in the way of psychological horror. -
general media Favorite Creepypastas?
Scootadress replied to Derpy Whooves's topic in Media Discussion
Some could play off whatever the game already set in stone. Its sad its something barely done. For example: Pokemon X and Y have the feature to communicate in a way that involves in game work. (Some lines the player says) One could reverse this way of thinking and play off towards the harder working trainers. Its such a great concept. There are ways to spice them but the wayany people act in creepy pasta as gory gory. Gary's Raticate and Blue's tears really meant something. Others have something on a deeper level that could be addressed like grave robbing. Hell, even Cupcakes would have a better effect if Rainbow Factory was made first by the same person. It would make much more sense... -
general media Favorite Creepypastas?
Scootadress replied to Derpy Whooves's topic in Media Discussion
I like Pokemon and 'historical' based creepy pasta. One of the better written creepy pastas were: Lady Cindy. Its an interesting concept for a character lesser known. Its not as popular, but just as great. I liked something similar suit but more aimed for Harvest Moon. I think its much more interesting putting a twist on real things that have been shown in the game. Kagome Kagome was an entertaining one and apparently, its more based on what really happened back then, but more so. -
technology What type of cell phone do you have and what phone company are you under?
Scootadress replied to NothingIsEverything's topic in Media Discussion

We never see enough to show her 'personality' other then one episode, but even then..she doesn't seem anything at all like RD. In fact, its what's wrong with Gilda:She's so awkward because she is utterly fake. She reminds me of Buttercup for this reason so much. She doesn't have RD's old personality (she was very narcisstic to a point, she wasn't understanding and hadn't stopped her ego from causing problems) It wasn't until key episodes that she grew like that. Scootaloo sounds more like a bandwagon girl, following trends more then not.RD acts herself, but Scootaloo does not. She doesn't seem to allow a more girly facade to take place and won't back down from where she thinks she is because she doesn't want to show it or, perhaps, she's rather stubborn. I wouldn't say she's like RD. I would say she tries being something she's not. She's also more observant. (RD had to get her to crack to actually understand why she's doing this) Other then that, you could always suggest RD's more then an idol. I wouldn't mind seeing why she thinks this way.

I get the reason for fire's resistance sorta. Its probably just me who would get a weird reason why. I say its because of how fairies are viewed as docile and 'good', while fire is typically uncontrollable and considered 'bad'. HOWEVER, I could be wrong since that's just one version of what people call fairies. (Some myths believe that fairies are bad or dead people) -

Sounds awesome, but knowing my history with writing, its going to be scary. Enough to be like:Is this border line grim dark? My answer:I wasn't trying to, at least...like that.Everything I write that sounds even remotely innocent, ends scary. -
Need some help with fanfic...
Scootadress replied to mehguy22's topic in AK Yearling's Writing Resources
On whatever I read it up on, I see each chapter in one giant paragraph that's separated by the chapter titles. Can you separate phrases and quotes? It sounds promising, just structural problems. I'm also guessing you should probably describe everything when the time comes. (I.e:The home layout and that sort of thing) If you lump it like that, it feels less cluttered, plus, the reader would know the home better.- 2 replies

Mine was not a MLP character at all. I have 2, but I'm just going to list the names. Marika Dragoslava: She's a strigoi knight working with her birthplace: The lands ruled by the Unseelie queen. Of course, however, she detests faery folk with a passion. She has a thing for anything sleek and shiny, something soft over her fingers. She's quite old, but because of her being unhuman, she appears younger. (age differences between the races) Despite her initial weariness of everything, she's very cocky, sarcastic, and can be very blunt to the point of cruelty. Though, she's only ever quiet if her 'mate' forces it. She's not inherently evil, she just doesn't care for people. She eventually comes to grips with them. Eventually. Scarlette is a very angry teen, most of the time, very mad towards her mother, Evalynn. She's pretty much like a perfect repersentation of Bipolar. She's very upset over her poor circumstances she was placed in due to her powers. However, her anger tends to generate more so then not and makes her appear inhumane. She's very serious about her work, despite hating it and she's honest towards those she brings in. (I can't say more)
