Yes he uses his mouth, but there is in Hyper's cannon a hoof guard he can wear that provides a sort of clip to attach the sword on so It can be swung with his hoof, although is not commonly used. Hyper is Japanese. The cutie mark like another user said does mean courage, although I prefer to leave it unknown so people do some homework on their characters hope those answer your questions

Yeah he is my OC, you'd think that I am a fanboy over him, well I say no! Why? because he is bloody generic! Lets face these facts, he is not with the best backstory, he comes from a distant island, a foreigner to Equestria (basically from Japan but there you go) and he drops into the world at a bad time (big surprise) and turns out having to serve a cause he did not expect (bigger surprise there!) Yeah the most different thing about the just of the backstory is the time period, the Era of chaos, when Discord first took power over Equestria, day and night and so forth. He wants to defeat Discord, of course he would, he is a good guy (kinda) But can he, literally no he is not allowed to! it was the princesses who defeated Discord, not some samurai pony. So he fails his attempt to taking him down, of course he does xD and some bla bla bla stuff is described as to what happens after. things go down and he later crops up in modern times. "wait, wut?" Turned to stone or something, who cares really. its a character you won't have to bother with anyway. Some things I don't like the use of but force them anyway because I want a few things to happen to the character. 1 Generic hell, he is immortal (somewhat) Why is this, well he dies early on. and guess what, Celestia uses magic to bring him back from the dead because he is of use. but did the spell wear off? heck no! he will be able to regenerate his mental and physical state forever. without giving him any advantage over others, he can still die in combat, get ill and ect. Its really just an excuse to let him get to the present. when I think about it at least. 2. He's killed (everypony does these days) I guess you can say "well he is a samurai so he has to kill" really? cant he go non lethal, just use that sort to disarm and protect himself? aparently not, he has taken lives, mainly bandits though, but yeah. 3. A parent is dead (like a super hero!) Generic again! His mother dies shortly after he was born so he never knew her. :I 4.Something is dark about this one. He is corrupted by a very strong type of chaos, which will eventually make him side with evil ones such as Discord. you cannot stop it without a good dose of harmony but that does not remove it all, it will just come back again and again, delay the inevitable Hyper, delay... 5. he does something regular lore either does not mention, or hint is possible. Enter alternative magic! a lost art form that gives pegasai and ponies the chance to do Unicorn stuff and partake in magical acts, yet is limited to elemental abilities, such as pyromancy, cyromancy, electromancy and so many others. its like bending in avatar except more variety and its open to everyone. I should probably rewrite this dang thing, but I don't have time to rework ideas that honestly still get a good public reception from some users here, (maybe they did not read the character bio and went with the pretty pictures)
