  1. Hmmm...I know that feeling. But every character should have some way of responding to their environment. If it's not the way they normally act, well, that's okay. This is an environment she's not familiar with, so it would make sense that she might act a little different, right?
  2. Well, yeah, it's a lot harder to tell when you like someone, and you really want them to like you back, and you start thinking "Well they smiled at me, they must like me!" or "They enjoy spending time with me, they must like me!". But in reality, those are all just friend activities, as I call them. As you get older it's a lot easier to tell, but I still don't know sometimes lol
  3. To be fair I did say about once a day earlier, but that was before I had a job lol
  4. Woops...heheh, sorry, I've been working my new job and haven't been in the mood for drawing lately. I do have a few pictures to post, I suppose I'll get to that soon!
  5. I can see where you guys are coming from, and there are plenty of guys who act like that (trust me, I'm sort of a wallflower lol), but it's a little overly cynical to say that friendzoning isn't actually a thing, and that guys only invent it to preserve their egos. Like Envy said, it does hurt to get told you can't have a relationship with somebody, even if you can still be friends. It takes a really tough person to stay friends with somebody who told them no, not because they don't care for them, but because every time they see them they get reminded that they can't be with them. Some people would rather lose a friend than try to endure that, and while that's not me, I totally understand those people. Just to be clear, though, there are those cases, and then there are the shallow guys who only want to get a girlfriend or get some action on, and leave as soon as the girl makes it clear that won't happen, and yeah, those guys are jerks. But generalizing your statements to apply to all guys isn't really fair.

I'm fine, it's not that people are nasty to me that much, just thinking too much about it and getting depressed about nasty people in general

I totally agree with you. Sometimes people are aggravating.

No problem. Always happy to reply and such.

  7. Yep, that's pretty close. I've been friendzoned, and there are different kinds of friendzone. Of course, there are the people who are honest, and say they'd rather be friends, because they aren't attracted to the guy. I'm perfectly fine with that, I like when people are honest. I try to keep things as non-awkward as possible between us, despite the fact that usually the girl I asked is the one to drift away, and not me. The other kind of friendzoning is when both people like each other, but then when one asks the other, they say "No, I'd rather just be friends" because they're terrified of relationships, and they think that dating their best friend will ruin their friendship. This train of though boggles my mind, to be honest. First of all, your friend just confessed some deep and personal feelings for you. That takes some guts. So now, even though you like them back, you're going to chicken out and lie? And on top of that, it's a lie that's going to reject them and make them feel awful? And you think that won't ruin your friendship MORE than if you just said, "Yeah, I like you too, let's try something together"? To be perfectly honest, if I was to date my friend for a month and then we decided it wasn't gonna work, I would still be happy to stay her friend. But I guess some people don't see it that way?
  8. I appreciate that you guys are so excited about my RP that you want to continue as fast as possible. But real life exists too, so if you guys could give me more than two or three days before you start complaining that the RP is being forgotten, that would be awesome. I promise, I'm not going to forget about it. But I don't always have the time to write up a nice, quality post, and I'd rather wait than write something crappy. All right?
  9. "Sorry," replied Blackstone. "I only have one hat, and I only wear it 'cause I have to." He briefly motions to the fedora on his head. He sighs as the Griffon takes off, but he wasn't going to try to control every little thing the group did. It was hard enough just keeping them from killing each other, as it seemed. They trotted through the downtown district, with Blackstone complaining about his lack of a car occasionally. The group did get noticed, but although a large group of ponies was going to draw a little attention, it was not bad attention. Eventually they arrived at a building that seemed to have been roped off with tape that said "Do not cross". Nearly as soon as Blackstone had arrived, a female pony in a blue outfit trotted up to him. "Blackstone," she said. "It's good that you're here." She opened her mouth to say more, and then caught sight of the large entourage he was sporting. "...Um, what is this, your fan club or something?" she asked. "I wasn't aware you were famous." He snorted. "Nah. They're a bunch of ponies I found that need help. They're going to behave though," he said, without looking back at them, but clearly intending the phrase for their ears. She looked uncertain. "And they can hear...?" she trailed off, but Blackstone nodded. "Yes, it's fine," he said. She gave them a slightly suspicious look. Blackstone rolled his eyes. "Annoying Group, this is Carin' Justice. She's the head of Special Investigations in Ponyville. I am her far-too-occasional consultant." He smirked. Carin' waved at them casually. "Yeah, yeah, hi and all. Come on, we've got a case, Blackstone. Stop dawdling." She grabbed him by the hoof and dragged him past the tape line. "If your group comes along, they gotta touch nothing, okay? And if they get kicked out it's not my problem. It's a police only area, you know." Blackstone shrugged. He clearly couldn't keep an eye on them AND do his job without breaking any rules. Oh, well. He wasn't a fan of rules anyways, especially police rules. "C'mon, guys."
  10. They suck huh... So does that mean the mods are comparable to Twilight?
  11. Blackstone nods. "It could have been multiple unicorns, but that would require...a lot of focus and determination on their parts. If unicorns did it at all, it was most likely with the assistance of something else...which is usually not a good thing." He shrugs. "For all you know, you guys could be here to 'save' the future from not falling into the wrong hooves. You should probably decide if you want to find a way back, or if you want to try and do whatever this corny note says you're supposed to." A box on Blackstone's desk begins ringing, horrendously loud. Blackstone looks at it, then walks over to pick up the receiver. "Hello? This is Blackstone, private investigator, how can I help you?" Pause. "Oh, really." He looks at the group. "No, no, I can help if it's that important. I just have some...other business I'll need to wrap up first." Pause. "Yes...I see...I'll try and figure it out. Thank you. I'll be right there. Bye." He puts down the receiver. "Now what am I going to do with you guys...I can't leave you here." He sighs. "I guess you're coming along. Try not to attract too much attention, please. I can barely pay the rent as it is, I don't need to be losing jobs just cause I felt like helping all of you." He trots towards the door.
  12. Yesh. I mean no. Um...I am a very indecisive pony. Ya know what? I'm gonna wait a bit. xD
  13. He frowns. "I know plenty of things that could do that, and none of them are friendly. I know plenty more things, but it's pretty much impossible to contact them. And several more might not even exist, I've only heard rumors. But no matter what the case is, in my experience, you don't want to mess with anything that can send you 400 years forward or backward in time. Even if it seems to be nice, that kind of power is bad news." Then, tilting his head, Blackstone looks at the two a little suspiciously. "You never said anything about that any of you were...'supposed' to do anything. What's this about saving Equestria? I thought you came here by accident."
  14. I've heard this elsewhere. Honestly I think it is well within Dash's character to brush something like that off, and it can easily be assumed it happened off screen, though I agree it probably should have actually been shown. I make it headcanon because the episode makes more sense that way.
  15. It didn't null their point, because they did nothing wrong by patting themselves on the back. They didn't do it out of spite, they did it to show Dash that they had good qualities too, qualities she was completely ignoring. And they DID help her fix the problem. The upstaging was neccesary to show her she was not the greatest. The costume was neccesary because Dash would not have taken them seriously if she knew it was them. Humility was the whole POINT of the episode, and there was no backstabbing. They waited until after they revealed themselves because, again, Dash would have brushed them off if they just talked to her. As for what Dulset said... that's not even remotely true. Are you saying that grouping together to help save Dash from her own rampaging ego was, in fact, a concerted effort to bully their own friend, going completely out of character for all five of them, and for no other reason than to destroy Dash utterly and then grind the bits of her that remained in the dirt? If that was the case I fail to see why they bothered to remain friends with her after this episode, or why they never bully her in such a way ever again. This was not a "let's destroy Dash's reputation for fun" episode. It was a "bring Dash down a peg for her own good" episode.
  16. No, because self-praise is not a bad thing. It's okay to say, 'wow, I did a good job there'. It is not okay to actively encourage your own fan club, sign autographs while ponies are in danger, claim to be better and fully believe that you are better than every other pony in the town...shall I go on? Dash has a looong list of faults in that episode, and she needed intervention. And don't even say they could have talked her down, because she was waaaaay out of touch with reality. Her friends showed her that she wasn't as good as she thought she was without insulting her or being mean. Sure it hurt, but that's Dash's fault for setting herself up for the huge fall after her huge pride.
  17. "I think you misunderstand; there is still plenty of magic, it has just...changed a little over the years. With the number of unicorns lowered so much, it has become more concentrated in all of us. But...I doubt any unicorn has the power to do a Permanant Temporal Transport spell on six ponies from more than 400 years in the past. I can't even cast one on myself, and I'm no pushover." He turns to Starchaser. "And you. No, you won't be persecuted. Those days are long past. Lady Rose destroyed all evidence of us, and we went into hiding; the other races came to believe we were extinct, and the next generation was brainwashed into believing we never existed to begin with." He sighs. "But there are much worse problems than persecution to handle. Like the Changeling courts, the Breezy Queens, the Knights of Sombra...those are just a few, and it's up to the unicorns to deal with them. The rest of Equestria just keeps chugging along pretending none of them exist, either."
  18. I gotta disagree with this. The costume was there because the episode would have been boring without it, and furthermore, so what if one pony could outdo her? The point was to show her she was not the best there ever was at everything. Also, they were praising themselves for the ironic value. After what Dash had been doing, their self-praise is hardly worth mentioning.
  19. Blackstone shrugs. "I can't help you any more than that. Lady Rose, the leader of the Earth Ponies at the time, ordered all information regarding magic to be burned or destroyed, unicorns were enslaved at first and then put to death later, and she was in power for nearly thirty years. We've tried to piece together as much as we can from before her, but aside from knowing magic existed more freely before Lady Rose, we don't have much."
  20. I don't understand why people would think that Mare Do Well was the meanest moment in the show. Sure it wasn't the nicest thing they could have done, but they didn't 'gang up on her' to make her feel bad, or insult her in any way, or really do anything except show her up. She was getting a huge head when she honestly was not that great, as she displayed when she nearly missed, or DID miss, saving several ponies, which could have cost lives. She needed to be taught a lesson and her friends did the right thing. There are a lot of moments in the show where I was frankly shocked at a character's actions. Discorded Fluttershy, at first, was one, but that doesn't count really cause it was discorded. Another is Applejack blowing up at Twilight after she causes a mess in winter wrap up. Even after watching the episode, I still don't see why using magic was such a bad thing, especially since Twilight really did want to help. Yelling at her for that was just mean, even if she did cause the mess; she's AJ's friend and AJ could have handled that a LOT better. Another is Putting Your Hoof Down, for obvious reasons. Finally there's Filli Vanilli. I was shocked and honestly disgusted at how Pinkie was acting. It was as though she was intentionally trying to make Fluttershy upset; it wasn't funny, though I feel like she and the writers were trying to make it funny. If they were trying to use Pinkie's airheadedness as an excuse, that doesn't cut it. Even Pinkie isn't that airheaded. She knows how to make her friends happy, and that is not how! It was very out of character for her, and I have liked Pinkie a lot less ever since that episode.
  21. "Well," he says in response to Starchase, "I can tell you what other ponies call me. My name's Blackstone." He pauses. "That's about as much on the topic of names as you're getting from me. And as for what happened to you guys, I've got as many clues as you've got. Probably less." He then states the year, but it has a different state of reference than what the rest of the group is used to: "It's 432 years after the Earth pony uprising. Unless the numbers have been fudged a bit. They 'fudged' a lot of things around that time. That's also the reason that nopony believes in magic, if our records are to be trusted, though according to the public education system, of course, magic doesn't exist." He looks at the group. "You guys know about the Earth pony uprising, don't you? You have to if you're from any time afterwards, unless you live under a rock."
  22. I say no because he was literally only introduced as a romance element for the movie because they felt like it needed it. The whole situation felt forced and unnecessary, because the show is supposed to be about the magic of friendship, and he made it about the magic of friendship...and then this one other guy over here that Twilight fell in 'love' with over the course of what, two days? However long it was, it wasn't nearly enough.
