shooting down a plane is damn easy by now, a civilian plane is big, ugly, slow, a 1980 strela 2 can shoot down an f16, let alone a plane like that! the problem is not the shipping of weapons, cause those are there since the old times of the cold war, the problem is the political russian support... for the rest every one could have done that, you don't need to be an expert to use a SAM
