Don't know who else keeps track of the FiM music scene and it's developments; Living Tombstone is hosting a remix contest for Find The Music In You! Anyone else besides me interested in doing something for this? I'd be amazed to see more people taking a shot at it and get to discover potential new talent.

What a MAN I went to my formal with friends because I was borderline antisocial in my high school years and had no official date. It was quite fun, if a bit depressing because lol no love life. I also proved to have some of the most OP dance moves out of my graduating class, so I got a little notoriety for that afterwards, ahaha.

I believe that whatever you believe will happen, to an extent. Your 'soul' or whatever you like to call your consciousness can never be permanently be stuck in one place, but if you don't believe in an afterlife welcome to a few many years of nonexistence! But eventually you'll be brought back into the cycle of existence that I think is the truth of reality, the many universes and potentials for life... As for me, I think I get reincarnation into a new life. Who knows what it is, something probably crazier than my wildest dreams!

Cadence is canonically a niece of the Princesses, so I think it's also genetic in Cadence's case. That implies there are more alicorns out there as Cadence's family and linage linking her to the Princesses, I suppose... But Twilight (fanfic aside) isn't related to the Princesses. Her alicornhood is a result of her power, which Shining Armor doesn't necessarily share to the same degree, so no alicorn for him. At the moment, anyways.

music PrincessOfWub's Dubstep/Electro Thread
Ribbonfree replied to galaxysquid's topic in Media Discussion
I'm more a fan of melodic stuff myself, and electro house/complextro are more my genres of speed. Even when I listen to dubstep it tends to be either super melodic or atmospheric, without too much aggro sound. Don't get me wrong I love heavy stuff too, but I can't listen to it all day erryday, etc. Here are two of the dub songs that are standard fare for me, one from Sirensceol and one from Varien: Neither has an especially gritty (by my definition) low end, just some nice and smooth bass and all the interesting action for me is in the upper range.- 428 replies

Would a 7yr old girl enjoy a convention?
Ribbonfree replied to Rarity Paige Belle's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Any new experiences in general are awesome for kids that young! Unless they're especially cynical little tyrants (gg seven year old me, RIP in peace). They'll love seeing the more elaborate cosplayers for sure (especially fursuiters, I know from experience that full body fur suits tend to be popular with young kids), some of the panels may interest them especially if you let the girl ask the VA's a question (always cute when someone young goes up to ask something, eheh). The thing is that I don't think the convention can hold their attention for too long, since they'll probably be lacking on age appropriate peers to get along with. So be prepared to take them back home early or bring outside stuff for them to do as well. -
gaming What is your best moment in gaming?
Ribbonfree replied to IRegretThisWholePartOfM's topic in Media Discussion
I've managed some rather brilliant plays in LoL. Most of the time I'm a consistently Silver level player, kind of bad at playmaking due to underwhelming mechanics but decent decision making. But sometimes I just go HAM and make the (decently) pro plays and calls. Off the top of my head, a few solo/team plays I can remember: - I'm supporting a Caitlyn as Thresh, enemy duo bot lane is shoving in super hard even though our minion lines are mid lane so I get the inkling that the enemy Kha'Zix jungle must be coming in from behind us (we were blue side) for a gank. I ping fall back sure enough he shows up. Cait's and I are forced to burn flashes and nets respectively, but in a split second he gets just a fraction too close to the tower and I manage to see Cait had a trap down from earlier. I flay him backwards onto the trap and into tower range, hook, ignite, pick up first blood. - I'm jungling Vi and we have a Teemo mid (dude's so broken at objective control in this meta I actually ban him when I'm first pick) who's wrecking the enemy Katerina mid. Our bot lane just backed but I'm in a bad position trying to ward the enemy jungle and their bot lane, mid lane, and jungle show up. I blow my flash but I get them to run over multiple Teemo shrooms, baiting them constantly with my low health and allowing our botlane Jinx to pick up two kills with a mega death rocket and Teemo to clean up. That game also got me Silver II, so gg wp. - A mid game dragon fight that decided the flow of the game from that point on. I was Tristana, and we were outnumbered 3 to 4 but they'd started dragon. I make the pings to go in and they grab a good hook on my support, going in on him (I think my support was a Leona, I don't remember). Leona distracts like a boss while my jungler's distracted trying to help her, I notice the enemy jungler is low so I swoop in with rocket jump over the wall of dragon pit, execute him when he misses his smite, and take dragon. I then clean up the fight and come out 4/0. I would finish that game 11/0/15. -
For me 'good' is so highly subjective between people that the best person is really somebody who's open minded and can accept all viewpoints and walks of life and get along with them. Because that guy, no matter what he or she personally believes, can get along with others regardless of what they believe. They'll never really, purposely be a bad person, I feel.

What's the evilest thing you've done that you don't regret?
Ribbonfree replied to Kelario's topic in General Discussion
SUPA HOT FIRE As for me, in a significantly more serious note, I tend to be rather callous and cruel towards my friend's feelings. Not intentionally, but I'm quite the mean speaker IRL just in the way I naturally speak. I've made friends cry before, and the worst part is I sometimes don't even regret it. They know I don't mean it (I pray they do), but I can be that sharp tongued sometimes... Ugh that's so ghastly to admit... -
But Sayaka is the best... Seriously though, it's Madoka.

What are your favorite types of fan projects?
Ribbonfree replied to TrunksXV's topic in Sugarcube Corner
Music, very much. Considering that the Season 2 crowd (Alex, Silva, Omni, ArtAttack) inspired me to explore music in the first place. It's a less inspiring scene as of late, Brony musics, and I don't listen to it too much anymore. Still, I listen to the old classics and all, and follow them in their current exploits.- 10 replies

You're supposed to party hard tho, soft parties are lame.

I used to be a pretty invested RPer in other parts of the internet, actually, but that's no longer really my speed of entertainment. Thanks for the welcome though!

Ohohohohohoho they do more than that. At least Rebellion does. Anyways, Madoka. An amazing series that sort of became the modern Evangelion for me (I'm not old enough to have experienced the first wave of Eva though, so even Eva is the modern Eva for me). It quietly asks a lot of questions I like. And the cast is cute girls, which is always a plus.

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Rarity How did you find MLP Forums?: A harrowing delve through the first page of Google. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Long story short, friends and I are casual /b/tards and we follow the currents as sent forth from the depths of the Chan. MLP was part of that particular tendency. I stuck with it way longer than them though, through to this day. You may call me GARTIN MARRIX, (not) the guy who made that one song on the radio with the kick distorted to kingdom come and back. This is only sort of a joke. As for me, I'm just some idiot in between schools with a bunch of free time on his hands and way too many interests to actually be competent at any one of said interests. I write sometimes (fanfiction may or may not be a thing I do), I make music sometimes (GARTIN MARRIX), I sketch sometimes (this, by far, is the form of art I'm worst with). I may or may not be studying to become a DJ in the future. I also may or may not make pony music. Favorite genres are... everything, more or less, and I have inspirations in all genres (not GARTIN MARRIX). Long story short I have no damn idea what I'm doing, but that's par for the course for most people now isn't it? I do know I enjoy being a dork. I'll refrain from outright shitposting because I do try to have standards, but I do rather like playing devil's advocate, again because it amuses me. I also do enjoy all ponies. I even have a soft spot for the ponies people normally don't like, like Diamond Tiara. Favorite is Rarity though, because she inherently has a little extra depth I don't really consistently see in the others. Also she's adorable. And she'd be dang attractive as a human, I'm sure.
