I edited it somewhat, based on your suggestions. I am yet to get rid of the elements reference though, because I really hate editing on mobile lol. Also, I don't really need her appearance to be critiqued. It doesn't seem like something important for roleplay. Otherwise, I agree with you, and thanks for elaborating.

1. Would you give me a hand with colour scheme then? Or, rather, is "work in progress" the same as "subject to change"? Because its more like that. :/ 2. I put the "element of harmony" stuff in there to further elaborate on her personality. No, she'll never wield one, its just insight on her personality translated into mlp terms. I think it's a good thing to include. 3. That one isn't so much obvious as it is common. I included it because its something that bothers her more than others. I guess I could remove the "duh" part. 4. I don't think this is a personality trait so much as it is a physical trait...But i guess the part about her mindset should be moved. I just thought it would make more sense all put together as an "extra" of sorts, since it's not a part of her personality thats presented often...Its more of an...occupational hazard. Maybe I should have used the term "inconspicuous" or "stealthy" instead of "sneaky" though. Or maybe I should take out that whole part. Blurgh. 5. Yeah, I did draw the cutie mark myself. I cropped that out of an older image of my OC...if you follow the link asking for help on colour schemes, you'll see the full image. Is that the pic Troblems was thinking of? Also, what do you think of my OCs personality and such? So far the only notes you mentioned are about my poor organizational skills. ^^'

Here's 's OC Lightning Flicker. I thought her cutie mark could be a storm cloud with a few bolts of lightning, representing her quick wit or her sharp tongue.

Please, I'm not trying to be aggressive. I just want to make sense of this. I ask that you don't take this the wrong way. Okay... You said earlier that we weren't allowed to play as dragons, but it's in the list. Also, when I said " If somepony abuses their character, take it away from them--but a least give them a chance! ", that was a suggestion, not an accusation. Im saying instead of outright banning certain characters, you should allow them if the submitter's application checks out. After all, we already know they'll have to follow canon. If someone applies to be Tirek, for example, they'll have to start where the series left of with him--Cerberus. If they apply for Discord, they'd start in ponyville...etc. And I did read the rules about posting Cast characters...but, admittedly, I'm only seeing this seperate "application" part now. ^^ Sorry for that misunderstanding, and thank you for pointing that out...it explains a lot and I wish I had seen it. -_- But I still don't agree with the fact that these important characters can't be played--especially since Discord isn't even a villain. I mean, it's not as though RPing is a game that you can win, so I don't see how playing a powerful character is that big a deal. It's roleplay, after all. not D&D. :/ you play for the personalities. Oh, also, I know you didn't SAY staff were better role players, but you did say they were "trusted" and therefore allowed to play powerful characters, which I find the tiniest bit unfair. But whatever. I understand now that, for the time being, Discord isn't playable. I'd like it if you let me access the profile I posted though. I'll just copy it down for future reference, then you could delete it. Would that be alright?

I wish I'd have known this rule BEFORE I wrote out that whole profile! It still seems unfair to me though. If somepony abuses their character, take it away from them--but a least give them a chance! I wasn't even planning on playing Discord. I just thought he was a necessary addition to the cast characters...He's no more powerful than the princesses, and, (no offence,) just because someone's a moderator, doesn't mean they're a better role player than anyone else...right? Doesn't mean they're more trustworthy. Also, what's the point of making people write and submit characters if you don't trust them playing said characters? Like, I thought being able to write the profile was enough of a test to prove if an RPer is good enough. I'm glad you're working on something else, and I really hope it'll more fair...or, more trusting. :/ Oh, also, if none of those species are playable, you should really take them out of the options list in the database...it's very misleading.

(You can move this topic if its not on the right place) So, recently, I made and posted a profile for a cast character (Discord) in EQE's character database, but it was hidden/declined because that specific character wasn't allowed. I figured this best be discussed publicly, since I'm probably not the first person this has happened to. So, my question is, why aren't certain characters allowed? I mean, if they stick to their canonical abilities and personality, I'm really not sure why they can't be RPed. I thought the whole point of EQE was so canonical role players had a safe playground...but if we're cutting out canon characters, no matter how well/poorly made the profile is, it seems like its defeats the whole point of having to submit characters and be approved for RP. So, I guess my question is--why?

Keep on brainstorming. My OCs backstory was developed over time through sketches, and imagining this character in different situations. It helps to keep an open mind, and don't set anything in stone early on. Surround yourself in mlp, and know that inspiration can come from anywhere. Basically, dont force out your OC. Get to know him. These things take time. (Or the original post of the thread I just linked.) And remember, canon is always the best place to find examples of good, well rounded characters. Pinkie Pie had a less-than-stellar life, but it still wasn't melodramatic.

It's really more comparable to Hanukah. You should Jamestown re-watch the episode though. Why on earth did it autocorrect "just" to "Jamestown"?? XD

See my signature. :3 I could give you a hand, but you should NEVER mark a personality as "tl;dr". It is, without a doubt, the most important part of an OC. Don't be lazy, especially in that department. Also, what are you using this OC for? Wait, are you asking for someone to draw it for you, or make up a backstory, or what? Like, what do you need help with?

I know, right? It's just really inconvenient. Just to get to my profile I have to use a very roundabout solution.And the button choices on the menu thing are pretty useless. Like "mark all read" and "new content". I mean, if they can only have 6 buttons, they could choose some better ones. Like settings or profile.

Just to be clear, I'm not here to demand a mobile app. I do, however, have concerns regarding the mobile website. I do most of my posting from here, and I've come to realize its really quite limited. Posting images is next to impossible, you can't view signatures (which is a great pain for me, because many ponies looking for advice direct me to their sigs), and the main page is missing quite a lot. (You can't access your own profile, your settings, etc) In fact, even trying to post this thread I hit a roadblock and had to switch to the full version of the site just to get past the rules for posting, which was very inconvenient. Has any work been done on the mobile site recently? Because it's really quite difficult to use.

I put that around the eyes because that's what happened to both Sombra and celestia when the used dark magic. Also it looks cool.

I think the purple stuff happened whenever somepony used dark magic. Plus it looks cool.

How about this--Luna was never banished, because she was never possessed. Or, maybe, the three tribes never settled their differences. Oh! OR, Luna and Celestia never defeated Discord. There are so many points in mlp history that can be changed.
