    I'm going to have to insist that she is better suited for the element of honesty. Sure, she is kind, and she is a little shy, but more than that she is honest with herself and with others. I might even go as far to say that she's a seeker if the truth. She was originally my ponysona, so I'd like to let her hold onto that one aspect of myself I'm proud to represent. I'm not saying she's similar to Applejack or dissimilar to Fluttershy--I just think she'd sooner tell a pony what they did wrong and try to help them than tell a pony they did well to avoid hurting their feelings. In my mind, the elements if kindness and honesty are opposites. That's just me though. She'll never end up wielding an element, anyways.

    It's not that Alicorn OCs are bad, it's just that a lot of amateurs instantly gravitate towards making Alicorns because they think that physical specialness can cover up the lack of creativity behind the character. Another thing is that Alicorns are meant to be deity-like, and the in fact, there were only supposed to be two in the entire series, so seeing Alicorns as OCs with bs backstories are hard to accept.

    I think her name should be one word (Rosemary, not Rose Mary). Good character, but her colours look too much like Fluttershy's. :/

    At first I really liked the design, but then I realized the colour scheme is nearly identical to the pony "Octavia", who's also a musician.

There's a good chance I forgot, and I don't want to dig through all the comments right now. Also, if you WANT a sketch, PM me instead of asking here. Nevermind that last part...my topic was moved from "creative resources" to "request shops", so I may as well accept it. You can post your requests here. Just posting these here because they don't allow photos in Personal messages on mobile. So, here's @retrosteamknight's OC, Garnet, as drawn by me and designed by him. I'm sure we'd both appreciate it if you didn't steal the design. (And Retro, if you'd like, I can redraw this on my tablet for use as a profile pic or something). To everyone else, I might draw your OC of you want to post it here. These photos are from an iPod, but I have a scanner too. The third picture is my design idea for 's OC, Candy Star. I'm not sure I'm happy with it. Her cutie mark is three conpeito (confetti candy)

    Yeah, considering how small their muzzles are from the side, the front views are actually accurate. Just look at an mlp toy for reference. Remember it's all stylized.

    Thanks for sharing these good OCs, but I think we all already knew that every type of OC has the potential to be good. It just so happens that since Alicorns are the master race in mlp, a lot of amateurs go for that for their OCs (because they think physical specialness can compensate for personality). But I'm sure a lot of people have shared that with you already. We appreciate good OCs when and where we can find them...it just...doesn't happen much.

    Thanks for this awesome reply! But the mane on Pony 3 is actually supposed to be a dark, chestnut brown...does that change anything? This was kind of my original idea back when she was a ponysona. u_u" I'm getting all jumbled because I'm trying to make the colours look good but also be symbolic of her personality and ALSO include the blue of the amber. ^^" It's tougher than i thought.

    Perhaps, then, the award should be something else entirely. An achievement of sorts. Badges have to do with the number of posts you've made of whether you're a mod, so in retrospect they probably shouldn't be used as prizes for things like this. :/

    I think the badges SHOULD be permanent. It doesn't matter if people are donating for "the wrong reason". What matters is money is being sent where its needed. If the badges are permanent, that's more incentive for people to donate. Besides, it's not like the badges actually mean anything. If un-generous people are to be labeled as "generous", so be it. We all know how they got the badge anyways. This is about the kids, people. Not your egos.
